nedekid: I was just speaking with a young recently graduated physiotherapist, she was asking what the future prospects will be for her in the country. My candid advice to her was to get out of the country once she gets the opportunity as in my opinion the future here is not looking good. Naija makes people kids, it does not make you grow up fast if you know what I mean. Eg, my brothers kids of the same age with mine schooling in Canada refused to come home for the holidays that they prefer to work as they are making good money. Infact the their mum the other day was saying her daughter earms more than she as an executive earns here in naija. Lol. Meanwhile my own kids also on holiday are here with me at home doing nothing, abi which holiday work will they do that will pay them more than 50k? Bros naija has casted big time, oil prices are up, our earning are higher, subsidy they said was depleting our reserves and destroying the naira has been removed, dangote refinary is now working and our forex is not been used to import petroleum products, our crude production has increased from 700k barrels to close to 2m bpd yet naira is still falling against the dollar, Nigerians getting poorer daily, purchasing power devastated. Bros why is our own like this, can you kindly educate me? ....I can educate you as the economy is improving corruption has gotten worse, this the benefit of improving economy is not filtering down. There's corruption everywhere in Government. |

DyshApp: Popular comedian, Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel a.k.a Shank Comics recounts how his father switched from being a Muslim to a Christian.
He made this known while speaking to a fan he met in the United States.
The fan had informed him that he thought he were Muslim like himself, however, Shank noted that he is a Christian.
However, he clarified that he has a Muslim name, Saheed, and his father used to be a Muslim.
He noted that his father had converted on the day a church gave him food while he was famished.
Shank said …
“My daddy was a Muslim. Then there was one time he was fucking hungry then one church gave him food, then he became a Christian. I swear to God, my dad is so cheap.” ..... and what is it with the swear word, can't you be expressive without using it. |

can you give us the cogent reasons that will warrant police shooting at a tyre in a busy public place?
are you saying that if you are not courteous, polite and do not find lunch money for police then they have a right to shoot you?
what evidence do you have that the driver whose tyre was shot was "obnoxious, argumentative"?
the police that shot a kid in Ibadan because the refused to stop, where is he right now?
what was his reaction after shooting the kid?
where is it a rule that if you are not courteous, polite and dont find lunch money for police, you are obnoxious, argumentative, and trying to evade the checkpoint by driving recklessly, then the police should shoot at you? I'm not saying the Police have a right to shoot at a driver if they refuse to stop, argue, or do not give egunje. Crime › Re: The Moment Police Shot 14-Year-Old Boy In Ibadan (Graphic Video) by uvie66: 9:29am On May 22, 2025 |
TallNigerian: There are too many things to be deduced from this video and they all trickle down to the culture of lawlessness in Nigeria.
1. Father of deceased: That driving was too reckless. You were driving against traffic yet refused to stop and answer the traffic enforcement team. Just imagine how he was bashing into other cars and even the road culvert, destroying his own car in the process. What justification could he have had? If not for anything, he should have considered that a minor (his child for that matter) was in the car. That shows the level of lawlessness amongst Nigerian drivers.
2. Police: No need to dwell on them. We already know they should be the second worst police force in the world. Second only to probably Afghanistan. Is shooting a live bullet the way to solve a traffic infraction or stop a stupid driver?
3. Traffic Officers a.k.a Agberos in Uniform: From their uncouth language alone, you can tell that one of the major requirement in their recruitment process is the ability to use swear words and behave live a tout. No person who went through the four walls of a tertiary institution will behave like those urchins do. Last last, education no be scam.
4. Other Nigerians: Our emergency preparedness is zero, our situational awareness is zero, ability to think critically in difficult situation = zero. No sense. Maybe if we were not Nigerians, that child would have gotten to the hospital in good time and might have lived.
We all play our part towards how terrible our country and society is. Our leaders are a true reflection of who we are as individuals and as collective people.
Corollary: After watching this video, I wonder if this man's wife will forgive him. His sheer stupidity escalated the situation that eventually cost them their son's life. This is the best analysis, we know our police are always on the edge, why then provoke them further, last last he could have settled this thing with maximum 5k |

LabStores:
So many unprofessional d0Its in the police force. Most of them are just very reckless and lack discipline. Why can't they learn how to stop vehicle by shooting at the tires? This is completely avoidable! They can simply just take down the number plate and use it to trace the offender. Why just shoot recklessly? The officer and the offender needs to be severely punished. ....and the driver that was driving dangerously against one way traffic is innocent abi. |
