Axis313: She is 100% correct,in Islam,it is the husband's duty to provide for the household. No matter how rich the wife is, it is not compulsory for her to provide but she can support the household.
Al rijal qawwamun ala nisa" (الرِّجَالُ قَوَّٰمُونَ عَلَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ) is a well-known phrase from the 34th verse of Surah An-Nisa in the Quran (4:34). It translates to: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women".The verse outlines the foundational roles and responsibilities within a marriage in Islam. Its core concepts are: Maintenance and Protection: The verse states that men are designated as caretakers because God has given them strengths to excel over others, and because they are required to spend their wealth to provide for and protect their families.
Reciprocal Rights: Scholars emphasize that this role implies heavy responsibilities rather than absolute authority. Men are required to ensure the financial security, physical safety, and overall well-being of their families. ..... Most of the Nigeria Muslims live in the North which is also the most impoverished segment of the country, in these situations how can poor men provide for their multiple wives if they adhere to Islamic teachings, or is that why we see most northern women in IDP camps or begging as a profession in the south. |

Jeezuzpick: Of course!
I still write very well, on the job. I'm an engineer and project manager, I attend meetings and write, I sign requisitions and valuations, I write entire pages of instructions. With pen and paper.
I do not, DO NOT use AI for emails, even though I totally can. I compose my emails myself. I used Claude to do some tedious tasks, like repetitive stuff on Excel, and sometimes to outline some documents, but I personally flesh them up.
I like to think I'm pretty smart, and I don't want to be dumbed down by AI. I think AI is a drug. The elite want to get people hooked on it, then they start charging big bucks for it.
I don't know how people won't write, o, but I understand a lot of people don't really write anymore. A lot of them even use that annoying phone shorthand, full of stupid abbreviations and emojis. .....I count myself lucky that I grew up when traditional writing was the norm. I remember writing my 100 level law exam with just pen and paper in my own handwriting, meaning it must be legible. However, youngsters of these era, most especially the Gen Zs have never experienced this traditional format of writing, and this is partly not their fault, because their lives have been severely impacted by information technology. It takes a determined and disciplined youth to detach themselves from the aggressive intrusion of technology in their lives. Nevertheless I think the benefits of Ai surpasses its drawbacks. I personally believe using Ai enriches ones vocabulary. |

Stephen0mozzy: Oya, no forming.. coman talk true.
One of the biggest jokes in the Digital space today is "make is sound very human". Human beings asking a machine, to make its output simulate a human. Who you dey whyne?
Of course, that's the beauty of technology, yen yen yen, people adapt. Some will give analogy of writing with pen, to using typewriter then word processors on computers - but in all these the skill of coming up with valid thoughts, logically related points and following grammatical rules was on you and steadily improved over time.
Now, most people jus throw in their "half formed" idea of what they want into any of the LLMs and gradually their writing or even reasoning skills begin to atrophy.
First, it was social media and terrible abbreviations, then people no longer knew when to use "am" vs "I'm", "is" vs "it's" vs "its", "there" vs "their".
Oh me? I love writing gan, I already do enough augmenting my daily tasks with AI alright, like coding assistant, but NEVER in expressing my thoughts.
So, who's up for a challenge... Test yourself if you still know how to write.
No AI submissions. No prize sha, but you could impress someone. ....I am ready to undertake this assignment but who are submitting it to check whether it is Ai or not ? |

THEN SHE SHOULD PAY THE LOAN.
Now, go get a lawyer who likes to cash out. Sue them, and make una settle out of court for like #5million. But firstly you have to prove the image came from the loan company. As a loan company I can publish this without it being traced to me. The woman self, if you owe money pay Una too do |

yemmit90: Money is everything guy, infact money is life. You don't have a single say or dignity without money, except you are among the broke people who keep deceiving you.
Money give freedom, open more opportunities and quality friends. Money give you respect withiout having to give one, and most time, peple help you genuinely withiout grunt or expectations. And most importantly, money prolong life and give you peaceful exist.
Nothing is good about poverty or lack of money. .....my brother the thing weak me when they say money isn't everything especially in Nigeria context. Where there's no water, no light, no good hospital, no good transportation services etc. A good example is this. If I wish to travel to Abuja from Lagos, as a rich Man I will fly. But a poor Man will take will take a bus, that will take a whole day, and be exposed to the risk of accident on the road, high way robbery and the baba of them all FULANI KIDNAPPERS. |

SixSeven: The OP says your mind will be at peace when you have money. You think Biggie's mo money, mo problems is a joke? He also says poverty will be making your heart do somehow. I don't think you've heard about contentment. Contentment is a powerful mindset that shields you from the endless cycle of chasing external validation or wealth. It shifts your focus from what you lack to appreciating what is right in front of you. A lot of Nigerians lack it, that's why they keep chasing the mullah and they see the man who is relaxed as muuugu. Travel and see those who are poorer than you in your paper money but richer than you in issues of life. It is the current structure of Nigeria that makes you think once you have money, you can solve your problems instead of us to think like a society. Look at our rich people, if you have a health emergency, don't you think before you jet out of the country to go to one foreign hospital, you will die? Or do you think even if you have the best Nigerian doctors with you, it will keep you alive while they are carrying your body upandan in the plane instead of you to have accessed a good quality hospital? Didn't you see the tomfooooolery of our elites during covid19 or how they keep making the same mistakes by spending so much money abroad when God has blessed our environment with free gifts but they refused to appreciate it and improve on it? Nigeria is a very classist and oppressive society so I just see people with their insecurities projected on others they think they are above. That's why they system may never work because the money helps them feel at least that all animals aren't equal. DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM 🤡
When you understand the concept of money, you'll know why it is not everything. It is good in our current construct of life but only experience can teach you certain things. Maybe you have forgotten that your forefathers did not live with this current concept of paper money. Or the civil war did not teach you a lesson on how people who stored paper suddenly became poor? The current construct of society is deceiving you so much that you think to acquire all the gold in this world is everything but when you get it, you'll then learn the lessons of life. Anyway this conversation is more philosophical, experience is the best teacher. Enjoy your money. You don't teach a man how to enjoy his money. We came to this world with nothing, fought for everything, only to leave the things we fought for behind .... this is a poor man talking trying to justify poverty |

You can also be poor and have cancer.
The only difference is still money.. Poor ppl with cancer has no chance of surviving...
