Joint ownership of Land: What you should know jointly owned property is a property that the onwers jointly enjoy the use of the property. Joint ownership of land simply means 2 or more people owning a piece of land. Any right, benefit and claim over the land belongs to the owners jointly and not on individual basis. E.g jointly owning a land includes land that belongs to huband and wife, father and son, brother and sister etc. Anyone who purchases a jointly owned land or property from one of the owner without the consent of other owners has purchased a defective property that could be rejected or revoked by the court.
