Good morning dear Nlers, I got a mail yesterday asking me to come for an aptitude test from dragnet with respect to the Skye bank recruitment. After Logging in, I found out that my test was scheduled to hold at Enugu while my current location is Lagos and I cannot travel at the moment because I dont have anyone there. Please is there any way I can change the location to Lagos or contact the Dragnet guys as I really want to partake in this test as the provision for that in the Face of Testing site is unavailable.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Politics / Trump Blasts Nigerian Administration, Says "Where Is The Change" by Uzch89(m): 5:33am On Mar 15, 2016
Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential
contender blast Nigeria for claiming to be giant
of Africa. One of The highest producer of crude
oil in Africa without nothing tangible to show for
it. 56 years after independence, Nigerian leaders
still can’t deliver
“ordinary” electricity, water, home-refined
petroleum products, transportation – road, rail,
water and air – infrastructure.
Here’s a quote from Donald Trump, a front-line
US presidential contender:
“Look at African countries like Nigeria or Kenya
for instance, those people are stealing from their
own government and go to invest the money in
foreign countries.
From the government to the opposition, they
only qualify to be used as a case study
whenever bad examples are required.
How do you trust even those who have run away
to hide here in the United States, hiding behind
education? I hear they abuse me in their blogs
but I don’t care because even the internet they
are using is ours and we can decide to switch it
off from this side.
These are people who import everything
including matchsticks.
In my opinion, most of these African countries
[like Nigeria] ought to be recolonized again for
another 100 years because they know nothing
about leadership and self-governance

Phones / Re: Features To Look Out For In The Android N (nutella) by Uzch89(m): 5:26pm On Jan 19, 2016
It's not yet out. Nutella is the name that will be given to the android 7
Phones / Features To Look Out For In The Android N (nutella) by Uzch89(m): 4:36am On Jan 19, 2016
While most devices in the market are yet to get Android Marshmallow update, the next version of Android OS is already on the way. At the moment, most OEMs are yet to push Android Marshmallow update to their devices. Google is still working on Android N and it doesn’t have an official name yet, but there are indications it’s going to be called Android Nutella. Also, it’s still unclear whether we’re seeing Android 7.0 or Android 6.1.

Even with all the uncertainties, there are features we may likely see in the next version of Android OS. Some are assertions directly from Google while others are rumors and speculations.

1) Multi Window Support

Well, Jide beat Google to this with the release of Remix OS. This proves Android OS can definitely support multi-window multitasking and Google might officially introduce this feature in Android N. In a Reddit AMA thread, Android and Chrome UX director Glen Murphy admitted that split-screen multitasking is already in the works
"There are many things, like multi-window, that we’ve been spending a lot of time on — hopefully we can share more about this soon… We’re working on lots of things right now for N that, of course, we wish we had, you know, yesterday… But we’d spoil the surprise of N if we shared all of them. Split screen is in the works!"

This will particularly make Android tablets and 2-in-1 devices a lot more productive. By the way, this feature is already hidden in Marshmallow but not enabled by default. It is experimental and Google may likely perfect it with the launch of Android N.

2) A Video Editor

Android OS has an inbuilt image editor but one thing it lacks is a video editor. Android users have to rely on 3rd party apps to edit videos but this may be coming to an end with Android N.

3) A New Messaging App

Hangouts is going through a redesign and this includes removal of the SMS/MMS feature. It has been reported that the revamped messaging app will include chatbots. This will work based on artificial intelligence and the bots will be able to respond to natural language queries.

4). Android For PC?

When Google decided to merge Android OS with Chrome OS, we expect this and it may become a reality soon. A report on the Wall Street Journal suggests this will finally happen in 2017 when the final version of the optimized Android version for PC gets released. However, there’s going to be a preview of this before this year runs out.
Health / LASAA FEVER: Lagos Records First Case - Daily Trust by Uzch89(m): 10:37pm On Jan 15, 2016
Lagos State has recorded its first case of the latest outbreak of Lassa fever. The incident was recorded at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.

The patient, a 25-old student of Ahmadu Bello University was said to have traveled down to Lagos and was admitted in a private hospital at Ojokoro before he was transferred to LUTH where the case was confirmed.

Religion / Reasons Why We Sleep Through Church Service But Stay Awake For A 3 Hour Movie by Uzch89(m): 1:26pm On Jan 03, 2016
It is because the erring, mortal, carnal, sinful human nature which humans assume to be their God-given identity is actually is the complete and imaginary opposite of man’s real identity and nature – man’s natural identity as the complete and unadulterated spiritual image and likeness of God, Love, goodness. The mortal, sinful, carnal human nature, which the world educates us to believe is our identity, thus dominates the tendencies of our human behavior.

The world is not aware of this, and its systems of learning, even currently common systems of theology, unwittingly and unknowingly discourage rather than encourage man’s discovery of his real relationship with God – for man to learn of and to practice the acknowledgment of his natural spiritual perfection. Resultingly, ignorant of this potentially life-changing fact, humans tend to act continually in opposition to their own good and spiritual advancement.

Believing himself to be an individual thinker, instead of understanding himself to actually be the direct extension and reflection of the one and only Mind, the Mind of God, the Christ-man which Jesus perfectly exemplified for mankind, humans continue to ignorantly create and promote their own discordant life-environment. I understand this to be what Jesus meant when Jesus said he was come to save sinners. Jesus came to awaken mankind from the subtlety of sin in exactly these forms. Sin does not loudly announce itself. It is deeply hidden within the belief of one’s own identity, and is usually disguised as goodness. Its nature being pure deception, sin can only gain a foothold in consciousness by deceptively convincing one that it is a real, valid, unremovable part of one’s nature.

When we are educated to believe that our nature is a sinful one, a false foundation for the presence of evil in our lives is unwittingly established without our consent. We must tear down that foundation. The Bible tells us ( just one small example) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8.) The sinners to which Paul refers are the falsely educated identities of ourselves as sinners, which we must strive to put behind us. If God had created a natural sinful nature in us, it would be contrary to God’s wishes to change that, and it would be unnatural to rid ourselves of it. It is therefore illogical to believe that man has a natural God-granted tendency to sin.

So, it’s easy to sleep through church when your thought is centered only on the material world surrounding you. It’s much easier to concentrate on fantasy, like that fascinating movie which so glorifies the same world around which human thought revolves. It’s hard to pray be when we do not know how to pray, or what it means to do so because our view of existence is centered on the material world. If spirituality is far off and distant in our thoughts and we do not know how to approach it, and we have little interest in doing do, it is much easier to simply curse the things around us which to which we unwittingly consent and which are the results of our own lackadaisical attitudes toward existence. It is hard to post a Godly bulletin when thought is never focused on God. We justify our false selfhood, supposed to be separate from God, and we justify the discord cherished in mortal mind, by reposting the mean bulletins. And it is easier to worship a celebrity than God because the celebrity brings to our thought the delights of the world with which our falsely educated senses are accustomed.

NYSC / LAGOS NYSC: A Totally Different Lifestyle by Uzch89(m): 2:54pm On Oct 29, 2015
Bubbling Lagos Life Style Excites NYSC Corp Members

BY ABIOLA ATOYEBI, Lagos.

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Lagos appeared to have been bugged by the bustling life style of Lagos, as they said carrying out primary assignment in the state is another institution on its own.

The corp members who spoke at a public forum in Lagos remarked that the cosmopolitan nature of the state has given them the opportunity to interact with people from different background and learn from their experiences .

Speaking at the forum ,a member of Lagos state National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Uzochukwu Nwanegbo said there is urgent need for corps members to imbibe cultural integration of their immediate serving communities, if they want to enjoy their service year.

According to Uzochukwu, such counsel is informed by the National service mandate to raise a class of patriotic, morally and physically disciplined Nigerian youths with the nation’s drive to promote self-help initiatives in rural and urban communities.

Uzochukwu who is the Provost of the Medical Group, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, charged his fellow corps members to know that service year is one of the greatest opportunity most corps member crave for especially those in metropolitan area like Lagos, because they get to witness a lot of good things in terms of been exposed and outspoken.

Harping on his own experience he said “coming to Lagos as a kid triggered my serving in Lagos because it is place that accommodates different ethnic groups with religion warmly promoted. Lagos is home for all and as Lagos corps members you should have the best of experience from your service year.”

Oyesile Femi another corp member said Nigeria is a polyglot nation which is fantastic and as corps members you are opportune to benefit from these different tribes in terms of their language, norms, culture and even their food is a wonderful platform.

"A great understanding of the populace of your serving land is very crucial if you really want to have a good service year, build your relationship with your immediate community. In Lagos for instance, once a bus conductor tells you ‘enter with your change’ please do, to avoid trouble. Uzochukwu said.

Other corps members who spoke with our correspondent affirmed that Lagos social lifestyle has made their service year memorable, given the availability of lots of recreational centers.
