Webmasters / Can A None Sports Freak Start A Sports Betting Site? by uzucuzu1(m): 12:03pm On Jun 13, 2018
Hello nairalanders, good afternoon, I am a food scientist by school certificate but trained as a digital marketer. I have little money like a mill with me that I want to invest in sports betting IE creating a betting website. But the problem is that I am not a sports freak and will find it difficult to add matches with required odds, knowing matches like say 2weeks before it is played. These are my problems now and with such money, I can't afford to employ a professional and still run the business.
Anybody with relevant ideas should call or whatsapp me at 08167938324
Naijatech.net@gmail.com.
Waiting to get help from nairalanders, thank you.
Ps: certain things influenced my choice of going into the business

Celebrities / ‘infinity War’ Becomes Second-fastest Film To Hit $500 Million At U.S. Box Offic by uzucuzu1(m): 7:43am On May 13, 2018
Nollybullettin..com
Avengers: Infinity War” has topped the $500 million mark at the North American box office in only its 15th day — the second-fastest movie to achieve that milestone.

Disney-Marvel’s superhero tentpole grossed $16 million on Friday at 4,474 locations to reach $502 million. Only 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hit the half-billion dollar mark faster, needing just 10 days to do so. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” had held the second-fastest mark at 16 days.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is dominating domestic moviegoing and should finish its third weekend with about $60 million, making it the fourth-highest grossing third frame of all time.
The opening of Melissa McCarthy’s comedy “Life of the Party” is heading for around $18.5 million at 3,656 sites, followed by the launch of Gabrielle Union’s thriller “Breaking In” at about $15 million at 2,537 venues.

“Avengers: Infinity War” set the all-time record for biggest domestic opening weekend with $257.7 million on April 27 to April 29, then fell 56% to $114.8 million on May 4 to May 6. It’s projected to decline only 48% this weekend. Only “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($90.2 million), “Avatar” ($68.5 million), and “Black Panther” ($66.3 million) finished above the $60 million domestic mark in their third frames.
Should estimates hold, “Avengers: Infinity War” will wind up the weekend at $546 million — eighth on the all-time domestic list, ahead of the lifetime total of “The Dark Knight” at $534.9 million.

“Life of the Party,” a PG-13 title from Warner Bros.’ New Line, should see its best performance on Mother’s Day on Sunday following a promotional push to get mothers and daughters to hit theaters. McCarthy plays a mom who joins her daughter (played by Molly Gordon) in college after getting divorced. McCarthy’s spouse, Ben Falcone, directed from a script he co-wrote with McCarthy.

Universal’s “Breaking In,” directed by James McTeigue, is performing in line with estimates, which had been in the $14 million to $17 million range. Union portrays a single mom who has to protect her two children (played by Seth Carr and Ajiona Alexus) after her father’s Malibu mansion is invaded by burglars.

“Life of the Party” has earned a 42% on Rotten Tomatoes, while “Breaking In” carries a 29% rating.

The second weekend of Lionsgate-Pantelion’s comedy “Overboard” was heading for fourth place with about $8 million, followed by Paramount’s sixth weekend of “A Quiet Place” with $6 million. “A Quiet Place” will wind up the weekend with nearly $170 million domestically.
“Avengers: Infinity War” has already taken in more than $800 million overseas with a robust opening expected this weekend in China. First-day grosses on Friday hit $76 million.

Thanks largely to “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” the overall domestic box office is up 4% to $4.16 billion as of May 9, according to comScore. Overall business this weekend should be about the same pace as the 2017 frame, when the second weekend of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” led with $65.3 million, followed by the openings of “Snatched” with $19.5 million and “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” with $15.4 million.

Business is likely to boom in coming weeks with Fox’s “Deadpool 2” launching on May 18 and Disney’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story” opening on May 25.

Celebrities / The Toughest Son-of-a-bitch Who Ever Lived: The True Story Of The Man Who Refuse by uzucuzu1(m): 1:43pm On May 12, 2018
Nollybulletin..com
NewYork City, the Bronx, 1932. Two speakeasy owners by the names Tony Marino and Joe “Red” Murphy were looking to take in some extra cash. They came up with a scheme to put insurance policies out on vagrants, mostly elderly alcoholics, and then cash in on them after the policy holders’ inevitable and likely-imminent death. They had run their fraud successfully a handful of times and were confident they could do it again. That is, until they met Michael Malloy.
Michael Malloy was a sixty-year-old, down-on-his-luck alcoholic living on the streets without a penny to his name. In his younger days, he was a tough-as-nails fire fighter, but was now all alone in the world with no family to speak of, Marino and Murphy secretly took out three policies on Malloy totaling $3,500 ($60,000 today). In order to keep track of Malloy and ensure that he met with an untimely and accidental death, the pair took him in and offered him a cot in the back and all the booze he could drink provided that he sweep up the bar at the end of the night.
Weeks passed and Malloy had yet to drink himself to death. In fact his new sense of purpose had actually given him something to live for, improving his health. Impatient, Marino and Murphy decided to speed up the process by giving Malloy a drink laced with antifreeze. Malloy enjoyed this tasty new beverage so much that he threw back quite a few before going off to bed. The next morning Marino and Murphy arrived at work to find Malloy still alive and sweeping the floor. Frustrated, they began fixing Malloy all sorts of strange concoctions, from whiskey and wood alcohol to sandwiches laced with rotten clams and metal shavings. However, nothing would kill the man. One cold January, when temperatures were hitting negative 10 degrees, the pair got Malloy pass-out-drunk. They took his unconscious body to the park where they stripped him out of his shirt and poured water over him. The next morning, he came back shirtless and ready to work
Finally, in frustration, Marino and Murphy enlisted the help of a cab driver named Hershy Green and his friend “Tough Tony” Bastone. With him passed out drunk once again, Bastone pulled Malloy out into the street. He held the man upright while Green drove towards him in his cab. Just before impact, Bastone jumped out of the way, and Green ran him over. They left his body in the road believing him to be dead. Three weeks passed with no news of Malloy’s death. Then one day Malloy walked through the door after being discharged from the hospital for a cracked skull and a broken shoulder. Malloy chalked it up as an occupational hazard of drinking.
At their wits end, Marino and Murphy hired Daniel Kreisberg to take Malloy back to a rented hotel room and give him as much gin and wood alcohol as Malloy could handle. Kreisberg did just that, right up until Malloy finally passed out. Once he was unconscious, Murphy came over with a length of hose. He placed one end of the hose in Malloy’s mouth and the other into the gas line. After pumping several minutes’ worth of gas into Malloy’s lungs, the man finally died. That night they bribed a doctor into signing a death certificate attributing Malloy’s death to complications from alcohol abuse. Malloy was given a pauper’s funeral as Marino, Murphy, and the rest of the gang went to collect on his policy.
However, with all the new accomplices it became clear that there wasn’t that much insurance money left to go around. The gang also began to squabble over who deserved the bigger cut. Police brought Murphy in for questioning when Bastone, who threatened to go public if he wasn’t paid off, mysteriously turned up dead. While Murphy was at the precinct, insurance investigators showed up at the speakeasy asking for him. Once they learned where Murphy was, they started to believe that they may have a case of insurance fraud on their hands. The police and insurance investigators ordered that Malloy’s body be exhumed. The examiners were quickly able to deduce that he had been gassed to death.
Cab driver, Hershy Green, then turned state’s evidence and began testifying against his coconspirators. For his testimony, he was given a life sentence while the rest of the gang were sentenced to death. During the summer of 1934, Marino, Murphy, Kriesberg, and Pasqua, the undertaker were taken to Sing Sing where they were given the electric chair

TV/Movies / Skip The Avengers: Why Entrepreneurs Should Watch 'black Panther' Again Instead by uzucuzu1(m): 8:45am On May 12, 2018
Nollybulletin..com
Marvel’s Black Panther and Disney’s Avenger Infinity War are among the most popular superhero films of all time. Before Black Panther was released, it was projected to make $160 million and has proceeded to make $1.3 billion in worldwide sales. There is similar excitement with Avenger Infinity War, which garnered opening weekend estimates of $200 million in ticket sales, and analysts believe it will surpass Black Pantherin the coming weeks.
While both films have destroyed box office predictions, Black Panther remains the film with significant takeaways for entrepreneurs.
The plot of director Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther revolves around the efforts of Wakanda, a wealthy African nation, to maintain peace, independence, sovereignty and sacred traditions against a potent threat from the outside world. The people of Wakanda are led by King T’Challa, Black Panther, who governs the land during the day and fights crime with a team of powerful women at night. Unlike Infinity War, Black Panther offers multiple examples of positive leadership practices consistent with entrepreneurship.
In Disney’s Avenger Infinity War, a team of superheroes works together to fight the unstoppable force of Thanos. For two hours and 40 minutes, Spiderman, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther and others fight epic battles with villains to prevent Thanos from securing a powerful set of stones. While the benefits of camaraderie are on full display in Infinity War, it doesn’t compare to the teachings Black Panther offers business leaders.
Black Panther teaches business leaders to follow processes.
In business, it is critical for executives to identify how and when changes among the leadership team will occur. In the Black Panther film, there exist several occasions when a transfer of power is essential. The transition happens without much discussion among the leadership team and follows a pre-determined process.
When changes in authority take place in Avenger Infinity War, chaos ensues. Everyone who stands in opposition is eliminated. A sustainable entrepreneurial venture values process and input from others when termination or promotion actions are inevitable.
Black Panther teaches business leaders humility.
As an entrepreneur, it is important to receive and follow the advice of business coaches and senior executives who have valuable insights to success. Throughout the film, King T’Challa humbly consults with the elders of the community before making decisions. They often disagree on the appropriate responses to threats, but T’Challa followed his counsel’s advice.
Thanos, who assumed leadership by genocide, does not discuss his plans with anyone. He does what he desires and is willing to sacrifice anything, including family, to obtain the ultimate power. Long-term success in business begins with a leader who values collective wisdom and actions aligned with the company’s mission.
Black Panther teaches business leaders to find value in inclusivity.
The growing awareness around the #metoomovement underscores that it is imperative entrepreneurs create and support safe work environments for all employees. In nearly every scene of Black Panther, male and female characters embody strength, intelligence and mutual respect. While Black Widow and Scarlet Witch of The Avengers play essential roles in the film, the male characters dominate the decision-making on behalf of the superhero team. Studies confirm how diverse and inclusive employees influence companies’ long-term profits through the unique perspectives, experiences and skills they can offer a company.
The Black Panther film confirms lessons of my own business experiences. Success begins with humble people in power who respect policies, team members and the people they desire to serve. My first business was teaching martial arts to young people in Chicago. When I started I didn’t see the potential for more impact, service and profit until I worked with others who added their skills and experiences to strengthen the company. With our collective effort, we expanded our services to include academic supplemental instruction and mentorship.
Although Disney’s Avenger’s Infinity War is growing in popularity, entrepreneurs who wish to acquire some of the best practices in leadership should head back to the movies for another viewing of Black Panther.

Celebrities / Brief Star Biography Of Genevieve Nnaji As She Marks Her 37th Birthday by uzucuzu1(m): 8:56pm On May 03, 2018
Genevieve Nnaji started her acting career as a child actress in the then-popular television soap opera "Ripples" at the age of 8. She was also featured in several commercials, some of which included Pronto beverage and Omo detergent. In 1998, at the age of 19, she made her debut in the growing Nigerian film industry with the movie "Most Wanted." As an upcoming actress, trying to create a niche for herself, she went through various minor roles seeking for that opportunity for a breakthrough.

Her subsequent movies--"Last Party," "Mark of the Beast," and "Ijele" (which is still considered to be one of her best epic performances to date)--brought forth an icon to be loved and adored by many.

Her name became a household name and her image the desire of every young girl. In 2002, she starred in the movie Sharon Stone (2002), and her fame shot beyond the shores of Nigeria to the rest of Africa and several European countries. One can say that through the buzz, Genevieve reinvented the Nigerian film Industry, introducing Nollywood to the rest of the world.

Genevieve appeals just as warmly to Kenyans, Liberians, South Africans, and Ghanaians, who avidly watch Nigerian home videos at home and abroad. Genevieve has led the market into new territories today.

She took the extra step of projecting herself beyond Nigeria by having a Web site constructed back in 2003, and it was arguably the most-visited Nigerian site on the Internet. Its fame spread like wildfire, a jolly virus: 3549 hits on 355 pages in two weeks.

In recognition of her immense contribution to the Nigerian film industry, Genevieve was presented with numerous awards, some of which have been in Dublin, London, and the United States. She won best actress of the year in the 2001 City People Awards and in 2005 at the inaugural awarding of the prestigious African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

In 2004, a search for the face of Lux was embarked upon, and out of several celebrities all over Africa, Genevieve emerged with the highest votes. She graced several billboards and television stations with her enduring smile and personality. The same year, she was contracted by a Ghanaian record label to record an album, which got immense attention locally and in several African countries.

With several movies to her credit, and numerous fans around the world, in 2008, in a bid to give back to society, Genevieve launched her clothing line, St. Genevieve, which donates a percentage of its proceeds to charity--orphanages. In 2009, Genevieve made history by being the first Nigerian actress to be profiled on The Oprah Winfrey Show (1984) on an episode about the most popular people around the world. Genevieve is believed to be the highest-paid and most desired actress in Nollywood today.

A desire to be in touch with her fans after being absent from the Web for about 6 years has resulted in the construction of a new site. This affords the actress the opportunity to keep in constant touch with her numerous fans the world over. The site is an interactive one. and the hits have been outstanding.

Her life personifies the saying "All things are possible if you will only believe." These words describe her: determined, focused, humble, and creative. The best years of her career are still ahead.
