Tinubu has no certificates, steals huge amounts of Lagos money monthly – Bode George

Bode George, former Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has alleged that Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, steals “humongous” amounts of money from the Lagos State Government monthly.

George, who was reacting to a former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe’s remark that Tinubu is the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, spoke on Arise Tv’s ‘Morning Show’ on Wednesday.

Ogunlewe had said Tinubu was the most qualified and mentally capable to take over power from Buhari.

However, George, who is a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, said the former Governor of Lagos State has no certificate.

“He has stolen humongous amounts of money from Lagos State and continues to do so every month.

“Ogunlewe is talking nonsense, the best man to lead this country?

“Go and look at the archives to hear what this same Ogunlewe said about Tinubu not too long ago.

“I am shocked that Ogunlewe would be saying this in public.

“Ogunlewe knows that Tinubu can’t tender his school certificates because he doesn’t have them,” he said.

Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that the upcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State slated for November 6, 2021, will not hold.

Ekpa, in a tweet on his Twitter page, said that a no-election order will be activated by members of IPOB.

He boasted that South East leaders do not know what the electorate are ready to do and that they must learn from their Northern counterparts.

He wrote, ”No election in Biafraland will be activated by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), starting from the Anambra election.

”The leaders in the SE don’t know what the electorate are ready to do. The struggle has entered AutoPilot. The leaders from SE must learn from Northerners.”

Recall that DAILY POST reported a near-total compliance to the sit-at-home order issued by the separatist group in Anambra. Nnewi, Awka, Onitsha, Ekwulobia as well as other areas saw total compliance with the order on Monday.

The group made the order, to be carried out every Monday, to protest the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, its leader, who was arrested in an African country believed to be Kenya after jumping bail in 2017.

According to the Actor, that saying has led many to an early grave.

One of the biggest lies I believed all my life, and till date still see people make the same mistake, is the lie that YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE. This sentence has led so many people to their untimely death, frustration and hopelessness.

Imagine telling a sofa you can be a fridge or a fridge you can be a bed if you believe. Before the manufacturer of the sofa even started manufacturing it, he already knew the purpose of the sofa and the problem it would solve. The manufacture finished the product in his mind even before he started.

Just like the sofa, fridge and bed every individual on earth was created for a different purpose but, the biggest problem they are faced with is HOW TO DISCOVER THEIR PURPOSE. The Rachakonda Cybercrime police has arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian national for duping people on social media platforms on the pretext of providing jobs abroad.

The suspect identified as Daniel Obiano, a resident of Bengaluru, who came to India on a student visa , was arrested on Monday, August 9.

Between May and July this year, Obiano and his associates allegedly cheated a software engineer from Kushaiguda and his cousin to the tune of Rs 51.3 lakh (N28,233,119.24) by promising to secure jobs for them in Canada.

Following a complaint, the Cybercrime police booked a case and with the help of technical evidence nabbed him from Bengaluru.

Police seized smart phones, SIM cards and other material from the accused and also froze his bank accounts with with a sum of cash of Rs 7.1 lakh.

According to the police, the accused came into contact with other Nigerians in Bengaluru, and learnt about cyber frauds from them. He began cheating Indian citizens on social media platforms posing as a European.

"For this, Daniel along with his associates, created fake profiles on Facebook and sent friend requests to youngsters. They procured ATM cards of random people with the help of some agents by paying commissions. Similarly, they also bought SIM cards from shops without submitting any documents,” said Mahesh Bhagwat, Police Commissioner, Rachakonda.

The Rachakonda Police advised citizens not to accept backdoor job offers, adding that legitimate employers will never ask one to send money to acquire jobs.

"If you are being asked to send money for the Registration Fee, VISA fee, Bank account opening, Security Deposit, etc, it's very likely a scam and you should walk away." the Police added.

Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest his associates.

Security operatives attached to the Borno State Geographic Information System in charge of assessment of land documents in Maiduguri, have allegedly gunned down two residents of Maduganarim
The incident happened when the agency led by Engr. Adam Bababe went to the area to demolish a Church building.

The building, which belongs to Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN), was said to have been demolished for not being cited in a proper place but members said the church has been there long before the coming of the Zulum administration in Borno.

According to them, demolishing their place of worship by the government of Borno State shows that the government is anti-Christian.

Residents told DAILY POST that there was no warning or prior information about the move by the agency to demolish the Church building.

“We woke up this morning and saw Engr. Bababe and his men coming to destroy our Church. Some members of the Church approached them and the security operatives attached to the agency opened fire on them, killing two people.
“Thier corpses are currently at the state specialists hospital,” a resident who identified himself as Amos Audi told our correspondent in Maiduguri.

The situation turned violent as residents said the government is against Christians, adding my that if it were a mosque, they would not have demolished it.

“We have never seen the government of Borno State going to demolish a mosque no matter where the mosque was cited, unless they want to build a bigger one. Our Church has its papers and documents intact.
“Churches will never buy a land by cutting corners but because they did not want a Church in that area they have come to demolish it,” Jacob Ayuba, another resident and member of the Church said.

” What the government resorted to doing is witchhunt. There are mosques in places were they should not be but this government did not go there to demolish them, but are demolishing churches which have papers. This is wickedness. Our people are currently mobilising to March to the government house to protest the killing and demolition of our Church by Engr. Bababe and his team,” Another resident said.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has nominated the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, as the state’s ambassador for the Western Nigeria Security Network better known as Amotekun.

The governor also presented a brand new jack Pick-up Van to Adams as a pilot vehicle with three members of the security outfit as part of Adams’ security entourages, according to a statement from Kehinde Aderemi, a media aide to the Yoruba generalissimo.

Receiving the van at his Omole Phase 2 residence in Lagos, Adams described the gesture as commendable, stressing that the security of the state remains the topmost priority of every government.

He also applauded the governor’s courage in ensuring that the state is safe for residents.

Adams said, “The office of the Aareonakakanfo will continue to complement the efforts of the security outfit in reducing the spate of insecurity across the state.

“I want to appreciate our amiable governor for this worthy honour, and I hope that other governors in the region will replicate this gesture, particularly, at this time when we are faced with the various security challenges across the southwest,

“Security is a sacred responsibility of the Aareonakakanfo, and for the governor to have recognised that is highly commendable.

“For a very long time now, the office of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land has been at the vanguard of seeking a solution to the various security challenges in the South-West.

“Now that Oyo State Government has identified with us as the ambassador of the state Western Nigeria Security Network outfit (Amotekun), it is a call to service.

“As the Oyo State Ambassador of Amotekun, I will use the office of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland to complement the efforts of the state government in addressing the security deficit across the state.”

Meanwhile, the leader of the Oyo State Amotekun team, Akinro Babalola, said the state government’s gesture is in line with its resolve to reduce crime and the spate of insecurity in the state.

When Charlse Atshimene was signed from Warri Wolves for an undisclosed fee, many people did not believe in him. Akwa United fans doubted his ability.

Charlse Atshimene was brought in to fill the void vacated by then top scorer Mfon Udoh who joined FC Tulsa in USA. Charlse Atshimene arrived the Nest of Champions at the beginning of the 2020 season. He was immediately thrown into the starting XI by head coach Kennedy Boboye, but the former Warri Wolves striker struggled to adapt to Akwa United style of play.

The goal scoring burden was on Ndifreke Effiong, he scored eight goals for Akwa United before he departed to join Lybian Champions Bengzhazi. Mfon Udoh returned to Akwa United after Tulsa failed to renew his contract. The 28-year-old was relegated to the bench, he was meant to fight for the first team following the form of Atshimene.

Charlse Atshimene, found his scoring boot. He quickly fill the void vacated by Ndifreke Effiong. The prolific forward started firing from all cylinders. Charlse Atshimene goals in the 2019 season, helped Warri Wolves escaped relegation.

He fired Akwa United to the league title, scoring 18 goals in 34 appearance. The Super Eagles team B forward scored his first NPFL hat-trick as Akwa United spanked MFM 5-2 on Sunday to sealed their first ever league title in 25-years.

He broke Gabriel Akarandut Orok's 11 years goal record for the most goals in a single season for Akwa United (18).

Legendary striker Akarandut Orok scored 17 goals in the 2009 season for Akwa United. Atshimene broke the record by scoring 18 for the Promise Keepers.

He is currently NPFL joint top scorers with Nassarawa United striker Silas Nwankwo with 18 goals so far.


With one game to go, Charlse Atshimene is hopeful he can claim the golden boot he has worked so hard for.
