A reporter with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Benin, Mr. Lawrence Okojie, was allegedly shot dead by gunmen on Saturday night in Benin. Okojie was said to have been killed around Ogunola Junction, off Siluko Road. The spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP Moses Nkombe, who confirmed the report, said one person had been arrested in connection with the incident. Late Okojie, who was dropped off by NTA staff bus at Ogunola Junction around 8: 00 p.m. on Saturday, had called his wife on phone and informed her that he was on his way home. It was, however, several hours later that the wife, after repeated calls to his phone without any response raised an alarm that her husband, who was supposed to have arrived home could not be reached. It was gathered that some of his colleagues at NTA who were joined by some family members on a search mission, discovered his corpse in a morgue in Benin on Sunday night. As at press time, the circumstances surrounding the death of the reporter are still sketchy. The police have, however, promised to thoroughly investigate the matter. Okojie’s death brings to five the number of journalists killed in the state in the last six years. Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/breaking-nta-reporter-shot-dead-benin/ Lalasticlala

Those stupid apps will drain and slow down your device. Since the past five years, I've never had an Antivirus app on my android and I've been doing great without it. Antivirus are only needed on PCs, it's useless on droid |

A Mararaba Upper Area Court, Nasarawa State, on Thursday sentenced two men- Kabiru Ibrahim and Yusuf Danjuma, to two months imprisonment each for smoking cannabis sativa (a.k.a.Indian hemp). The judge, Ibrahim Shekarau, said he convicted the defendants as they admitted committing the offence. He, however, gave the convicts N2, 000 option of fine each, and warned them to desist from committing crime. The convicts, who had no definite addresses, were arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, constituting public nuisance and making the atmosphere noxious for human health. They admitted to the crime and pleaded for mercy. The prosecutor, Cpl. Hamen Donald, had told the court that the convicts committed the offence on June 16, at about 12.30 p.m. He said that a team of police surveillance team, led by Insp. Lawal Usman, attached to `A’ Division, Mararaba Police Station raided a ‘black spot’ at Orange Market. Donald said that in the course of the surveillance, the two convicts were arrested while smoking Indian hemp. The prosecutor also said that the offences contravened Sections 97, 192 and 198 of the Penal Code. Abuja – Prof. Abdulhameed Ujo of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, University of Abuja, has warned some groups and individuals involved in agitations to dismember the country to weigh their actions. Ujo sounded the note of warning in Abuja on Wednesday. He called on the agitators to have in mind that no sitting government would support the dismemberment of the country under its watch. The university lecturer said the call for disintegration was an indirect call for another civil war, adding that no country in world had succeeded two civil wars. According to him, there are various peaceful approaches to getting what you want but not to mobilise and instigate the people to violence. ‘‘I have a feeling that the idea of disintegration does not even arise, If they are thinking of disintegration, they should take some factors into considerations. ‘‘If we are to go into disintegration, we are going to have another civil war and there is no country that has ever survived second civil war,” he said. Ujo said the agitation by Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, was not in the interest of the South-East people and Nigerians. According to him, the South East people are highly integrated in the country; Igbos are very industrious in business and are all over the country. ‘‘They have business structure all over Nigeria and somebody wanted to cause problem without considerations to the value of their investments outside the region. ‘‘Does he want all of them to go back to the South-East? The region has no enough land mass to accommodate them and their businesses. ‘‘The differences we have are likely because the country is not well integrated and I have always said that there is a need to reinvent the process of reintegration in Nigeria. ‘‘We can unite as a country and become a very powerful nation in the global system,” he said. The don said some agitators’ grievances were correct but must be handled through constitutional means without causing violence or over heating the polity. KingEbukasBlog:Lol. You mean the myriads of tombs or the 13th century forged shroud of Turin? Please point me to it. And if you say the Bible, I'll kick you in the belly. I'm waiting hombre |
What do you mean by good girls? I'm sure you'll say a gurl that goes to church daily. But for me, that's a big turnoff. You put on frumpy wears that make you look like village masquerade then sweeps the church daily wasting your time on inane deities and expect men to swoon over you. Nonsense! |
Well citizens shouldn't expect any security from a country without a president. Come 2019 we must collectively vote out the slowpoke party RIP to the security operatives |
nkowalo:Make a good argument why you think lesbianism is bad. If you can't, then why screaming blood of Jeebus? You coulda simply repy "Please I'm not a lesbian" |

IKC10:we should take Jesus' case differently because no one has been able to do one over a trillion of what He did. Please disprove Mohammed claim that God doesn't have a son. I'm really trying so hard not to curse you and your stupid logic |
IKC10:Jesus didn't have mere claims, His led to His death. Did you ever know, sir, that He actually fulfilled His Words. For example, He said He would die and rise again, and He did exactly thatNo, he didn't fulfill anything. Jesus resurrection has no historical basis. No evidence. No eye witness. Nobody saw Jesus bodily rising from the dead. The Bible has a religious agenda and can't be trusted here. Where's the independent source for Jesus resurrection devoid of Christian forgery? Good luck with that. |
Now on the issue of his execution. Crucifixion was a Roman form of execution reserved for brigands, attempted escape from slavery and sedition. Jesus was neither of the first two. It makes sense he was executed on accounts of sedition given his new Jewish movement and incessant talks about the advent of a new kingdom that'll rule over Israel and that means overthrowing the roman rule. If Jesus crimes were against the Jewish authorities they would have punished him themselves, remember Stephen. The gospel writers all followed Mark's account which was written after the failed Jewish revolt. The author of Mark had to downplay any connection with Jesus and the uprising so the Jewish leaders were made villains and the Roman's whitewashed. Lastly look at the charges brought against Jesus “And they began to accuse him, saying, ‘We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king. . . . He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here’ ” ( Luke 23:2, 5 ) Finally Jesus cross had an inscription, "King of the Jews" All these points to the real reason why Jeebus was executed —sedition. If you wanna go ahead and believe in magical stories, your business. |
IKC10:Your arguments are pretty weak bro. You just said it yourself 'he CLAIMED equality with God.' Claims are not evidence. Mohammed claimed Jesus wasn't divine. A tribe in Congo claimed their god Bumba vomited our world into existence. Since you're this credulous, why don't you believe their claims? Simple answer is, you wasn't indoctrinated with those claims. Lol. You have to adduce something for your claims if you truly want anybody to take you serious. There's nothing new about the supernatural and mythical embellishments in Jesus story. It's a composite of many literature available to the first century ex pagan Christian mythographers. He was the healing god Aesclepius; the solar hero Hercules, who ascended to heaven amidst a number of witnesses. He was the man transformed by an apotheosis death, like Romulus of ancient Rome, the dying and rising Osiris, king of kings, whose treacherous brother betrayed him at his last supper. He was the dangerous child who posed a threat to the local tyrant and was hastened to safety, as was also the case with the more ancient Krishna of India, Moses of Israel and Sargon of Babylonia. He was the twice-born giver of wine and life, Dionysus. He was the child whose imminent birth was announced by divine dreams, oracles and angels, as was the case with Pythagoras, Buddha and Alexander the Great, to name just a few more ancient examples. If we can easily dismiss those stories, why should we treat Jesus' case differently. So brother how did you know Jesus was God outside the grandiose tales in the holey babble? Or are you this credulous? |
IKC10:Dude do you have comprehension issue? You wouldn't be asking me why Jeebus was executed if you grasped my post 'cause I already stated the reason there. If you don't have nothin' new to say, why bothering with the new thread? |
It makes sense to doubt the audio. I mean if they could go through the trouble of recording Buhari's voice what stopped them from showing his face in a video. The logical answer is the audio wasn't his |
This is truly funny. @OP you can only make arguments that shows Jesus was a historical figure and as an atheist myself I don't doubt Jesus historicity. There was a runty apocalyptic prophet that lived in first century Palestine and was executed for sedition. But that's all you can do. Jesus divinity is a different ball game, a legendary embellishment which lack basis in reality. Nobody can prove the divinity of Jesus. Mind you, quoting the Bible to prove Jesus divinity is a circular logic fallacy. Try again. Lol |
