Views drive ratings. Ratings attract brands who pay the TV channel to show their products via ads placements.

If it's all about one night stands, then why don't they just have 'freaking' Roman Reigns on NXT every week, and we'll see if the show will still be about NXT wrestlers proving themselves.

If NXT audience want to see main roster guys, then they should buy tickets for main roster shows and if NXT wrestlers want to wrestle main roster guys, then they should work hard to get called up. Simple. NXT audience also want to see Roman Reigns and 'freaking' John Cena, why aren't they going over? Let's think logically and avoid sentiments.

AEW is usually always close to 1m. Why is this about them now? They produce trash too as far as I'm concerned.

What Nxt did instead was a total overhaul of their gimmick.
There are good and bad gimmicks.

Gimmicks don't work. I'm not arguing. You, Pu7pl3 and other great minds here will realize it sooner or later. There is a reason why it's called sports entertainment; it's because half of the wrestlers personality is real, while half is fake - and intentionally made so for the show. The fake part is the entertainment character - heel & face -while the real part is the person's real life personality - just who you are. Gunther has that feel, same with Rock, Cena, Punk, and every other big name wrestler (na why I dey pity Roman Reigns, people are already getting tired of him and his "tribal chief" gimmick, at least that's a bit closer to his real life persona). The "other guys", Hit Row, Otis, and every other "not-so-successful" wrestler are the ones carrying the load of gimmicks; how coincidental. The reason why this reality is so is because the part of the wrestler's personality that should contain his/her real-life self is contained by another fake personality, coupled with the already fake personality in them (face and heel). Now you know why these guys can't connect with the crowd or make any form of success in WWE. The worst part is NXT is filled with these kind of people, the so-called future of the WWE/TKO. SMH. WWE is faaar from the truth as it stands. Maybe this new merger will make it more sports based and as a result, watchable. My sermon is over. Thank you.

Grizzled Young veterans were one of the best tag teams from NXT UK. Zack Gibson could really hold his own on the mic drawing boos from the crowd, while James Drake was the better worker of the duo.
The strange repackaging as smiling cultists in the Dyad did em no favours. It's interesting to see where they end up. AEW is crowded atm while impact could be a good fit.

Wrestling is all about building and elevating as much talents as you can. Becky winning that title not only solidifies her own legacy by getting the one that eluded her finally but her presence also elevated the whole environment and the other women she is going to work with.

No 2, it is literally illogical for her to win a developmental belt since she is no longer a developmental wrestler. She is an established one, and a veteran for that matter. Hope you get?
No 3, Tiffany does not need to lose to Becky in NXT to get elevated. Simply working her way up to get to the main roster and possibly eventually beating Becky up there will do the job. Plus that way she gets to do it with more than 1 million people watching. Also, it solidifies her properly as that way she actually earns it. Right now, anyone in NXT can get to face a main roster guy, and that's not fair and a good way to rate NXT guys. Tiffany has to work her way up to the main roster to prove she can earn a match with the likes of Becky, is what I'm saying. Is that simple enough?
No 4, this match and win has diminished Becky's status, even if it's a bit. She now wrestles in dev brands with dev wrestlers, for dev belts, with just 1 million people watching; instead of her wrestling for the world titles in big PPVs. This is sad.
No 5, about the ratings boost WWE fans just can't shut up about; it's a one night thing, after she's gone, they'll return back to their usual. Is that truly a win? WWE should be concerned with making long lasting wins for NXT. Decisions that will earn them long term high ratings, not a one night thing.

Pu7pl3 I know what "developmental" means and that's not NXT. It's a 3rd brand, but the company still calls it developmental, so who am I to argue. That being said and done, a former world champion has no business going to developmental brand to win belts. Neither Ronaldo or Messi will return to their developmental brands for anything, when they are not insane. But this is pro-wrestling, where nothing makes sense, so we'll leave it at that.

If I complain now they will say "after all it's just entertainment".Now can someone please explain to me why the World champion of a company is defending the 'RAW-only' exclusive title on a developmental, 3rd tier show in the company, against a developmental brand wrestler? It's not even up to a month and they've already made the new World title lose so much relevance. Very soon a street hawker can demand a title shot and be given because in WWE nothing makes sense anymore.
