"deity" is a noun. It's not a specific name attached to person or thing. For example: Obi is a boy. "Obi" is the specific name, while "boy" is just the noun. Notice how "Obi" starts with a capital letter while "boy" doesn't. So for "God" to start with a capital letter it means it's a specific name or title (same purpose), while "god" is just a generic noun representing a deity.

a dictionary will have it's meaning, but my defination is it's a being not physical or natural. Spirits are also the source of existence of humankind.
How do I know they exist? One, science hasn't been able to truly explain how the universe was created and also what gives life, emotion and intellect to humans. The lack of tangible explanations to that effect to answer our primary and basest questions of life has led me to believe that there exists an invisible force backing our existence that science cannot detect. There's also stories of ghosts and all that. But the main proof for me is my ability to commune with God anywhere, anytime.

Now check this, there is a being existing outside this physical realm and to know him all you have to do is believe him. If you could blindly believe like in those 2 examples I gave, and how you do in your daily life, you definately can believe in a deity that created all things, who's sign of existence exists around you daily.

so there's a problem right here because we know God is a spirit and therefore His existence cannot be proven through physical means. The best I can do for you as per your request to knowing the creator is by pointing you to his creation. If you look at the creation of the creator you will see his excellency in science and art. The calculations and intelligence utilized in creating the said creation, or the beauty and design and how they convey emotions; if studied will prompt you to believe without a shadow of a doubt that all these if not created by God were at least made by someone or something of similar characteristics. You can't tell me these marvelous designs weren't crafted but just appeared as a result of a bang?
