it's speculation that's most likely true. "I'll be a failure if I didn't main event Mania", something like that.

Can't believe we still have to say this to the veterans. In a worked shoot, whatever you say has to be in storyline context. Telling Reigns that he acted a script Vince wrote for him makes no sense in story. That's just a shoot, and it doesn't draw a dime.
