Nowayo4Real: Good Day!
Pls I need help from you gurus, I have been having challenges in writing my sop and paying application fees. Pls I would need suggestions on 1. The major points to address in my sop to make my application stands out of the crowd. 2. How to pay my application fees using naira credit card or other possible means. I am applying for MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Thank you very much. I just got into this thread after several search for help, and hopefully my challenges will end here. am guessing some scammers must have PM you on helping you pay the application fee. Any suggestion that isn't made openly here on this forum is a fraud. Use a GTB or First Bank card to pay your app fee |

jnyuwa02: So sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Yes, the CIC medical test generally includes a HIV test. Under existing protocol for permanent residency and long term non immigrants as students, CIC has the discretionary authority to determine through a medical test result, whether a person's health may constitute excessive demand on Canadian healthcare. So the good news is your HIV status is not a categorical disbarment from been given a visa. The bad news is you have to meet extra demands more than others. In addition to proving you can afford your studies and will come back to Nigeria, you have to also prove you have a credible plan and financial resources to foot the cost of your medical expenses and prescription drugs in Canada and that your health will not posse excessive demand on the Canadian health and social safety network. You will need to present to the VO a credible health plan in Canada on how you intend to take care of yourself financially. I suggest you get into immediate contact with health providers in Canada and buy insurance specific to your situation and submit with your application by emailing to Accra. Again, So sorry for your diagnosis. We thank God that HIV is no longer the epidemic it use to be and most HIV patients live normal lives with good medication. Sometimes i wonder, if to say you no dey this thread... KUDOS J |

You might want to reconsider re-applying for this January. I just got a mail from Humber college, an update on the Ontario colleges faculty strike. It is now resolved and the new start date is now January 29th, previously 8th January. tosiopz: Hey everyone, I need some help here as regards to my student visa application I got an admission into Humber College, and I'm supposed to resume in January, although that has been pushed due to the ongoing strike Long story short, I applied for my visa on the 21st of october, and I got a notice today stating that my application has been rejected. Reason being that I hadn't satisfied them that I wouldn't return to Nigeria at the end of my stay. Which I actually plan on doing. Apparently, the factors the counseller considered were (-) Purpose of visit (-) Employee Prospects in my country of residence (-) Current Employee Situation and (-) Personal assets and Financial status. I'm a corper presently, and I'm ending my service this December. I really don't understand what exactly to do. I know I shouldn't reapply immediately so I wouldn't seem desperate. Besides, even if I reapplied now, I don't know how else to prove that I will come back. I stressed the fact that I'm an only child in my Letter Of Explanation, that I'd like to come back to help in my father's business. I also attached certificates of assignment of two properties we had. But I didn't include a valuation on them. I attached the Certificate of Incorportation of my dad's company. My course is a 2 year course and I have paid for my whole first year, the proof of that was attached. We set aside some amount of money in a fixed deposit for my education, and I stated that and put a proof of that in my application. I know I wasn't declined for financial reasons, but I just wanted to state everyting I did so as to get the best advice. I honestly thought I had done everything, and I am really disappointed. Any advice on how to go further would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! |

My refusal reasons are almost same as yours except for an additional 'not convinced of the availability of tuition for my course'. I paid half a year Humber college tuition. I plan on paying full year tuition and also swear an affidavit of return plus highlighting each reason of refusal on my SOP tosiopz: Hey everyone, I need some help here as regards to my student visa application I got an admission into Humber College, and I'm supposed to resume in January, although that has been pushed due to the ongoing strike Long story short, I applied for my visa on the 21st of october, and I got a notice today stating that my application has been rejected. Glowingx: Good afternoon, I would like to write for a waiver for English language proficiency and spoken English requirement. Who has succeeded in having that granted? Would like a format of such, please. Also, I do I go about submitting WAEC Exam and scratch card info? Do I buy the scratch card and mail the PIN? About your WAEC question, i bought a WAEC scratch card(N700), scratched it and wrote out all the details they require on an A4 paper, scanned and uploaded on the school admission page. P.S: It was a college admission. |

Nzo1: Greetings Bosses, you guys are doing a terrific job here. I was a silent follower on this thread for long but I reached out to guys here when my first TRV application was refused back in July. My second application has just been approved. We Bless God!
Here's my timeline:
M.Eng (Electrical Engineering, MUN)
1st Application: May 5th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Refused: July 7th, 2017 (Insufficient Funds for tuition fees, Purpose of Visit, & Travel History) Ordered GCMS Notes immediately and it arrived on August 9th, 2017. VO said i was being sponsored by a third party (my cousin), limited evidence of relationship on file, limited travel history and weak evidence of personal financial establishment.
Meanwhile, it was a fully funded admission, i had to stress that in my second application while also tackling the above reasons.
Second Application: August 28th, 2017 (Paper route), linked it online. Medical passed like three weeks later (same upfront medical i used for the first application) Application updated November 14th, 2017. Approved (I checked my profile the night before (13th) and review of eligibility had not started)
Special shout out to @Thesoj; As soon as i got my admission in March 2017, one of my guys in Canada advised me to read all your posts from the beginning and i did, very enlightening. Thanks Boss.
Very big thank you to @Maziude 1 of Ottawa who reviewed my LoE and pointed out areas where i sounded desperate, Lol. Thanks Boss!
Special thanks to @Austinpee4, @Mcobex & @Jnyuwa02 for their inputs and advice on how to tackle my refusal reasons. I'm grateful.
I believe my Scholarship was overlooked in the review of my first application because of the way i filled the financial section of my first application form but @Osemigho's post on that subject ensured that i didn't make the same mistake twice. Thank you bro!
I'm happy to answer any questions and to help anybody in need of some guidance.
Cheers Bosses. Congratz@Nzo1 |

Refused! We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements
CORRESPONDENCE
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. • Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
PS: Paid tuition for a term |
