In El-Rufai’s late July memo obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, he lay bare how the terrorists had infiltrated and dominated communities and formed “a parallel governing authority,” exercising control over social and economic activities and dispensation of justice in the area.

He said the terrorists had advanced in their plans to make Kaduna forest areas their “permanent operational base” for the North-west region, citing a “series of intelligence reports.”

“Observed movement patterns and intercepted communications of migrating terrorists have shown a clear interest in setting up a base, with the stretches of forest area between Kaduna and Niger states strongly considered,” he wrote.

As the political activities towards the 2023 general elections pick up steam, the terrorists, El-Rufai told Buhari, have promulgated a law to ban residents from participating.

“The insurgents enacted a law in the district, banning all forms of political activity or campaign ahead of the 2023 elections, especially in Madobiya and Kazage villages,” the governor wrote.

The Ansaru terrorists are known to have an extremist ideological posture against democracy and secular authorities.

The ban on political activities, the governor said, followed a recent wedding ceremony involving the terrorists.

“According to actionable intelligence, members of the Jama’atu Ansarul Musulmina Fi’biladis Sudan (aka Ansaru) hibernating in Kuyello district of Birnin Gwari LGA recently conducted a nuptial ceremony during which they married two yet-to-be-identified female residents of Kuyello village,” El-Rufai wrote.

“The ceremony was attended by various Ansaru members and witnessed by residents of the area. After the marital rites, insurgents in attendance reportedly conveyed the brides to the dreaded Kuduru forest, in the same district.”

In the North Central, Peter Obi is swinging the states from Taraba, Nasarawa, Benue and even Plateau. NE and NW are rooting for Atiku with daily dfections hitting core APC states. In the NE, Borno that the APC Vp hails from are ready to destroy the over'hyped Zulum.
Where is APC sure of? With the economy gone South and debt servicing gulping revenue, Buhari cannot afford to throw money around, unlike in 2018.

Both APC and PDP are currently bereft of ideas on how to tackle the Obidients's media. They have now resorted to creating fake news and attribute such to Obi's followers.
Thereafter they will come online to debunk their fake news. Some will call it "Fact Checks", just to hoodwink gullible few Nigerians. Their aim is to paint Peter Obi's followers as fake news peddlers.

Thanks to INEC, all those who were hoarding voters cards are now dumping them in gutters, burying them in bushes and littering them on the streets. The era of ballot stuffing and writing of fake results are over as well as viters surpression are systematically being solved. We commend INEC for these innovations.

Next step is how to kill vote buying and over voting as well as incidences of ballot rejection.
INEC needs to move just one step further. That is to digitize the ballots and hence eliminate ballot papers and ballot boxes.

This can be achieved through on-screen tabs with political parties logo on a digital ballot. If the law requires physucal ballot paper, this can be incorporated into the gadgets. Just like BVAS has eliminated incidences of ballot stuffing and electronic transmission has killed physical collation, we can move another step further to improve our voting process by the elimination of the incidences of over voting, ballot rejection and voter suppression.

Lets be realistic, a losing candidate can induce polling unit cancellation by creating incidence of over voting, even with one vote. INEC need to criminalize over voting. Make electoral officers accountable for allocated ballots. If incidence of over voting occurs in a polling unit, the officer that issued more ballots than accredited voters should be made accountable. Lastly, INEC need to begin process of ballot scrambling. It is just a simple technology that ensures that digital ballots are not traceable to voter, but encrypted to internally loaded memory of the ballotting devise.
