The hacker took over his phone, so OTP, email verification and all MFA notifications will be received by the SCAMMER. So, the victim has NO CASE. He deliberately handed his device to the scammer. He has now learnt the hard way. Nothing is really free online.

Nigerians are too docile. I expect everyone of us to have hit the streets protesting by now against myriads of challenges we're facing in this country. But we're afraid of the government and police brutality abi... Now the bandits are knocking on everybody's door. If you don't face your fears, it will keep on terrorizing you.
I don't have anything against them celebrating the moment. But things are getting out of hand as a nation to focus on trivialities.
