In Islam, you change your eating time. That is you eat from DUST to DAWN 5.00PM to 5.00 AM, instead of Dawn to dusk. This simply means not eating when the sun is up. In Christuanity, you start fasting from 12.00 AM, fast the whole day and break at 6 PM, then restart fast at 12.00 am.. During dry fast, which the common approach, you fast for 24hrs.
