MTN promises exciting prizes for participants in the Digital Music Mobile App Competition.
The prizes range from a Porsche Cayman, Kia Cerato saloon cars, home theater karaoke sets, smart phones, a record deal under Nigeria’s popular music producer- Don Jazzy and a lot of other rewards.

Participants must first download the MTN SongStar app on their mobile devices by visiting the MTN app store, http://nextapps.mtnonline.com/app/mtn-songstar.30736 or send songstar to 131.

Participants are further expected to select and download any song of their choice from the library of karaoke songs, after which they will sing, record and share on the MTN YouTube channel within the application. Click Here to Find the Youtube Contest Page

Participants are thereafter expected to encourage friends and family to view their uploads on the MTN YouTube channel as uploads will be picked and rated based on the number of views recorded.

The 10 uploads with the highest number of views will be adjudged and selected for monthly prizes.
The monthly prizes include a Kia Cerato saloon car, home theater karaoke sets, smart phones and many other consolation prizes that will serve as incentives for participants.

At the grand finale in December, three participants with the overall highest number of views on YouTube, and another three selected through a wild-card procedure, will compete for the ultimate prize of a Porsche Cayman and a record deal under Don Jazzy.

The winner will be selected based on finesse and musical craftsmanship.
The last day for the submission of September entries shall be 04 October, 2013. The last day for the submission of October entries shall be 01 November, 2013. The last day for the submission of November entries shall be 29 November, 2013.
The Winners for the month of September shall be announced on 7th October, 2013. The Winners for the month of October shall be announced on 4th November, 2013. The Winners for the month of November shall be announced on 2nd December, 2013.
The Grand Finale will take place on 07th December 2013.

The union had however, insisted that it wanted N350 billion in 2014 and N400 billion annually for the next four years.

A labour leader who was privy to the details of the meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Executives of ASUU told Thisday yesterday it would be in the best interest of the union to accept the proposal.

“Once you meet the president of a country, where else do you want to go? Who else do you want to meet with? The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) were present at that meeting. If we cannot find an exit, then we are in serious trouble.

“You cannot leave a strike open-ended, it will backfire seriously. If the government had started the ‘no work, no pay’ policy as soon as it was obvious that ASUU was bent on prolonging the strike, the strike would have been over by now. It would have broken the ranks of the members,” the source said.

The source added that although labour leaders are of the opinion that the government holds the major part of the blame for the strike, they (labour leaders) also think that ASUU has overdone it.

“If after all these, ASUU remains adamant, then it would be obvious that they have a political agenda. It may also be an ego thing for ASUU NEC who realise that ASUU has been known to be a union that strives on holding governments to ransom,” the source added.

Heard EXXON MOBIL only employed students from chemical engineering and 1 other engineering department for the 6 months I.T.

Dont know y we werent informed earlier as most of us spent alot on transportation to and from exam state/center..

well i am already on my 4 month at SEDI-Enugu, was kinda sad at first since no pay e.t.c but listening to other students (Engineering field) stories about their I.T in most OIL companies EXXON included, experience-wise, i am grateful i am here, SEDI for my I.T.
