I said I am buying, you are talking of sarcasm.

The offer can be 100% successful if the offer is underwritten
Oga Emma I am still not believing you until you school us on what have changed in Kpakus (lol).
Are you seeing upside should the acquisition be successful? because even me I know that any day Ellah declares ordinary 500m profit the share price will go hay wire and that day is closer than ever should they succeed with the acquisition.
On the other hand, given the current market situation any underwriter will be seriously afraid.
But I thought the current owners of ARPN will just acquire shares of ELLAHLAKES to complete the acquisition which should have been a better option for existing shareholders because I think Chuka needs more aggressive directors who will bring more ideas and also keep him on his toes to deliver value to all investors instead.

Sarcasm intendended.
But you people will be surprised that ELLAHLAKES will still raise at least 80% of the fund, same way the stock price plummeted astronomically without your support. shocked shocked grin

Nigerian Exchange Loses N2.8 Trillion in One Week as Investors Sell Off Stocks Amid possible U.S. Military Invasion Reports

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) suffered heavy losses this week, with the All-Share Index (ASI) dropping for the fifth consecutive day to close at 149,524.8 points on November 7 — down 501.7 points from the previous session. The week’s decline wiped out about N2.8 trillion in market value, marking a 2.11% weekly loss.

Friday’s 0.33% drop followed a sluggish trading session that saw 527 million shares exchanged across 24,637 deals, compared to 619 million shares traded on Thursday. Market capitalization also slipped to N94.9 trillion from N95.3 trillion, reflecting the continued bearish sentiment.

Analysts attributed the selloffs to investor concerns over the federal government’s proposed 25% capital gains tax on profits above N150 million, expected to take effect in January 2026. Some foreign investors are also reportedly exiting due to rising geopolitical risks, including U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent thre@t of possible military action against Nigeria.

Despite the general downturn, NCR and MCNICHOLS topped the gainers’ chart, rising by 9.94% and 9.82%, respectively. On the losers’ end, BERGER and CILEASING shed 10.00% and 9.86%. In trading activity, WEMABANK and CONHALLPLC recorded the highest volumes for the day.

This kind of news needs to be on the headlines continuously all through next week and beyond until this wicked government suspends the implementation of this CGT rubbish or at least cancel the retrospective aspects of it.
Please lawyers in the house can a law be implemented retrospectively?

ELLAHLAKES
Public Offer @13.....
Now the work of the MM is to first move it above 13......
Further price action/appreciation to follow....
Buying at current market price of circa N11 is a huge discount.....

* Do not forget that:
- ELLAHLAKES has around 3.8bn OS
Out of which over 50% is domiciled with the strategic investor, directors and institutional investors...
- All the company needs to do, if they're serious, is to mop the free float as much as possible, then move the price to their desired junction
- Don't also forget that the ball is totally in your court since you're the CEO of your portfolio
- This is purely my opinion, I may be right or wrong

https://nairametrics.com/2025/11/07/ellah-lakes-secures-sec-approval-for-landmark-n235-billion-public-offer/-
The MM really mean business, any offer you drop below 11.93 automatically gets filled before you blink while 11.93 fills within minutes. They should move it above PO price fast.

N200M in any part of the world is a decent amount. With that amount, you are richer than 90% of the world populace.

200M in good dividend paying companies in NGX is RICH. We should stop the act of dollarizing everything. Nigerians settle their local obligations in Naira.
It is this kind of reasoning that made Oyedele (abi wetin una dey call am) classify #50m earning in Nigeria as ultra-rich. What can #50m really buy in the Naira value of today? He forgot that #50m of today was just about #18m pre Tinubu regime.
Even an entrepreneur doing business with such amount as capital is still a budding entrepreneur.

You don't compare with u.s federal bonds.
You compare with other issues we done at yields as high as 11%
You compare with yields on Eurobond issues from other African government which are around 7-12%

Then you compare with yields on domestic debt which are around 19%.

No African government can get commercial instruments at same rates as the U.S government.

Why we're celebrating is cos this potentially helps the currency which in turn helps the purchasing power of the masses.

For instance at $2000 Keke napep would be 3.4m when USD was 1700, now if it crashes back to 1350, it will become 2.7m which is a relief for the man on the street hustling to buy one.

Same with polished parboiled rice.
Same with cars,
Same with refined petroleum products.

And quite importantly when foreign substitutes come down in price, even locally produced goods get cheaper.

Everyone gets to buy a little bit more.

If you noticed, part of the profits MTNN reported in Q3 that helped them exit negative shareholders funds and even pay a dividend was cos of naira 's appreciation.

Specifically about 61 billion in Q3 vs 105bn they're paying in dividends.
Please when did MTNN declare dividend, I haven't read this anywhere yet?

I have really been away for a while, i just searched this now, it is a good one from MTN though.

If I am not mistaking only MBENEFIT is the insurance company that saw green at market close today. Investors are beginning to see serious value in that company. Meanwhile, other insurance companies have turned to JOJOIST's assets.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valthegreat(m): 4:41pm On Aug 18, 2025
This DANGSUGAR matter is no longer understandable, I planned to sell on loss @57 last Friday to rebalance with any of the good insurance stock (like AIICO or MANSARD OR MBENEFIT) but nobody bought and before I could click on sale today I saw some good bids and left the button alone now I am seeing over 61.40.
The question now is this back and forth movement is it not the activity of JIJOISTs? Because I see the up and down movement continuing endlessly until the company comes out of debt perhaps by H2.

So DANGSUGAR don become JIJO stock until fundamentals improve? The way the JIJOISTs are riding it Loco go soon park him kaya there too.

There is a capital raising exercise about to happen in Chams

Keep ya eyes open and know when to run....Plan is always to push up the share price and do the capital raising at a discount to the market
Unlike other companies that use their MM or show workings in order to raise the share prices before announcing Capital raise (or better put share dilution) e.g ELLAHLAKES and now JAPAUL, CHAMS has already laid everything bare, I think qualification date was same day the information was released, price is already know #1.70.
So I am only sensing the activity of JIJOISTS because I am yet to see what should move the price.
I have already offloaded most of my holdings but I am regretting why I didn't do so at the peak price of 2.75 today

The mistake I made in Chams is advertising a stock of low revenue. I learnt a new lesson from Heisime about low profit margin.

If a stock can generate a higher revenue and make a loss,it's understandable.Something must cause the loss like the case of Dangote sugar and international Brew. When they get it right, the share price will rise.

I am sorry I have made a u-turn in Chams for now.The shares outstanding has risen to above 7B and we are yet to witness a higher revenue let alone a high profit margin. All the businesses they handle is by contracts. They are left with peanuts when the superiors collect their lion shares.Nothing is left for shareholders to enjoy.

I have chams and I am not planning to offload now because the bull is about to touch some stocks.it might be opportune to move up as ASI is expected to hit 130,000 by year end.A time we are expecting market men and women to have interest in stocks is drawing closer but not in 2025.

Mr president is fighting re election in 2027.I will not be surprise to see ASI touch 150k during election campaigns in 2026.
You have been forgiven at least for accepting that you are a human that can make mistakes.
But now that you are marketing C I Leasing what's the difference between them and Chams because from my little check it is also a low revenue company. From last unaudited result PAT was about 728m while OS is around 3B. Should they distribute PAT 100% it will go around 0.24 per share. Please where do you see more value that will grow their revenue going forward because leasing business has always been a low revenue business?

Oga why you dey write thesis for practical things?
Why you dey compare rats with rabbits?
In as much as I believe Ellah is a growth stock, plenty things needs to be done

Why did they choose the option of diluting shares when they can sell commercial papers?
Did others start by diluting shares?
Check the outstanding shares of okomu and presco and check that of Ellah.Cant you see they are not in the same league?

My problem now is Ellah's latest results is not good, what prompted the rapid rise in price?
When the audited result is announced in the next few months, this same share price will nose dive.
They should do well and sell commercial papers. This is the only news I will appreciate than doing right issue or private placement/ public offer.

I have to thank Ellah for rewarding me to where I think I can stop until I see the next line of action which must be a positive one that can impact on the top and bottom lines.
Loco I have been expecting you to write this kind of thesis on Chams too, you marketed for us to buy and theirs was even worst in the sense that while others try to push price up before releasing information for share dilution they moved straight with right issue info and made the release date same as qualification date meaning they don't want investors to rush in to qualify which may have helped the price. Thank God I reduced my exposure by 50% before the nonsense right issue information came out because the nosedive in price of the Chams stock fish since then no be here. Who wan buy right issue at #1.70 for a non-dividend paying stock that is already selling at #2.
You told us to expect a big news that will move Chams and the big news is drowning the price instead.

I guess you are right. No man knows tomorrow, after all I bought the first public offer of Guaranty TrustBank@ N5 but, was only able to buy few units. Who will believe the same GTB will be selling for as much as N70 a few years later.
It is very unfortunate to note that that your #5 in 2004 was more valuable then than the current price of GT Bank shares of #70.
E.g: Your #5 as at 2004 can buy a unit of BIC brand of writing pen but today #70 can't buy one. It is currently #100 or more today.
