Big bro, the malt drinks you quoted here contain some little pints of alcohol because of the barley, wheat or sorghum present in them which has undergone a small fermentation process to aid its consumption. That's why you have some slightly bitter aftertaste when you consume those malt drinks.

As a matter of fact, the alcohol used to disinfectant wounds actually goes into the body system though in small quantities not capable of causing damage.

The no alcohol in the body na sakamaje mantra because humans need alcohol (in at least minute quantities) to survive on earth.

Some people even believe that one of the things that saved Africans from several plaques that devoured the earth was the early use of alcohol on the continent.
I am not really against the availability of alcohol in our society considering the many good purposes it serves humanity just that the proliferation and abuse as regards production, distribution and consumption needs to be checked.
For instance, since the advent of the smaller packages enhanced by the pet bottles and sachets revolution, the number of lives being destroyed in Nigeria by ethanol has multiplied by over 100 times. It was easy for NAFDAC to give approval viewing the development as an innovation but after it became obvious that it was causing more harm than good to our society and they tried to retrace their steps last year did you notice the media gang-up against NAFDAC that followed thereby making it impossible for them to remove those smaller packages out of circulation up till now.
Also, there should be stringent consequences when abused. If you drink and drive in the western world you know you will collect but in Nigeria even if you cause accident that ends up wasting other lives unnecessarily you may go scot free.

Ethical investors... Is alcohol the only thing NB produces?
Yes, if out of over 20 products only Maltina, Amstel Malt and Fayrouz are non alcoholic that's 85% alcoholic products focus and 85% result in school is 'A' score.
Hope my philosophy general course lecturer taught me logic well?

Off-topic, but alcohol na bad thing sha.

Apart from well known risks of driving under the influence and social nuisance, it is now known that even moderate consumption raises risk of a host of cancers, including cancers of the throat, stomach, colon, rectum, liver, and breast. And the more you drink, the higher your risk. A friend of mine, a gastroenterologist in the southwest, is seeing a sharp rise in gastrointestinal cancers and premature death in men in their 30s and 40s.

Rant over.
It pays to be an ethical investor.

No sir, simply type on any search engine you use 'list of countries that limit free speech' and the result will tell you where I got my conclusion from.

You shouldn't be surprised considering where it is coming from. It is obvious that the Islamic world abhor free speech. But thank God Nigeria is a secular society so whoever wants to limit free speech must secede with their own section of the country first before implementing such.

Complete yeye people .why do Nigerians(south) always act this stupid while people from other countries that japa still have sense and focus
The most funny aspect of the whole issue is that many of them gathered all forms of lies to plead asylum in foreign land and are living from pay-cheque to pay-cheque but will be quick to denigrate persons earning their living in Nigeria without provocation as if money is freely flowing on the streets of Western countries.
Besides the infrastructure and availability of job opportunities there, 98%of them are working for number of hours normal human beings shouldn't work just to pay bills and as such I don't envy them.

Show me where I asked you or anyone else not to pay. My statement is unambiguous, but I'm not surprised at your response--tithe payers are mostly emotional, not rational beings. tongue grin My statement is that tithe collectors are "takers from the poor", whether the poor pay willingly or otherwise is another ball game entirely. However, if they are enlightened and empowered, most won't pay.
God is a 'spirit' and as such can not be worshiped with 'rationality'. If christians don't contribute their monies how will their churches be built and maintained?
I am very certain that one person or more among you, your father or mother was born in one Saint this or that hospital, or attended one Saint this or that Primary or Secondary school, have you for once asked yourself how that hospital or school could have been built if the white people that contributed their monies for missionary purposes then were very 'rational' thinkers like you?

Yes.
Will be slashed into two after bonus + dividend markdown (slashed into two because bonus is 1:1)

Let's say APR closed @35 before markdown...

After markdown (also called Ex-Div/bonus date) will be:
A. N35 minus 0.60k = N34.40k
B. (N34.40 x 2bn) ÷ 2bn + 2bn = N17.20k

** Note however that: If markdown price appreciates more from that point 17.20, then your holdings will be in advantageous position once the bonus is added.

** Concerning the dumping you mentioned, it might not be dumped as envisaged, it may appreciate instead.......
If it's going to follow UCAP pattern, then it may appreciate faster than we think.
Thanks for always being there.
I also think Afripud is over-bought currently considering the size of the business and the current share price which is making me believe that Street's assertion might be the way it is headed.

I was thinking I can do a JIJO to collect the bonus and cash out but I might get trapped so let me quietly go for my option B instead.

Mcy pls do you see the price of Afripud possibly dropping by up to 50% after the bonus? Because definitely I know there will be dumping but is there a way the chart can guide us on the possible resistance level during the dumping?

ELLAHLAKES recently (yesterday) listed 1.1bn additional shares on NGX at N2.80......this listed shares being the conversion of debt owed to Equity.
Even though this has increased ELLAHLAKES OS from 2.7bn to 3.8bn, I think it's a good step aimed at cleaning the balance sheet and positioning the company for more value enhancement and near future profitability.
This could be the reason for not falling and reason why it will probably not fall below N3 for longer time.....barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Lol. That's my own understanding of it.
Thanks for the information. This is like the exception to the rule I wanted to understand.
Please is the current price a good buy zone?

Not at all, I was searching for a legit place to invest, checked online and found Risevest @25% interest but when I visited their office at Yaba I learnt they are not SEC approved so i couldn't proceed and kept searching then last month I found ADVANS chatted with them online and invited them to my office today and after a fruitful discussion I decided to do further due diligence with other investors here that's why I posted it.
I haven't even invested yet, because I am still considering wether it is possible for am MFB to scam anybody and all other possible disadvantages. However, they have the highest interest rate I have seen so far within the group of regular financial institutions.

Just imagine OANDO getting the nod to run any of Nigerian refineries? The noise, the protest, the cries!
Even with a refinery in a far away country, Nigerians are still insinuating corruption.
Oando should build a refinery from scratch, since investors are now having a positive view about the company they should raise money from local and foreign investors. Did you hear how many trillion that DMO returned as oversubscription for the last treasury bills auction? Why should that size of money be chasing T-BILLS instead of getting invested into our productive sectors to grow real GDP instead of this growth by GDP rebasing shit.
If Tinubu sells part of any of Nigerian refineries to his Nephew Nigerians won't take it. However, our existing refineries should be unbundled and privatized at 40/50 ratio between NNPC and foreign investors.
We can only experience true freedom from both refined products importation and price stability when we have foreign investors competing Alhaji and other local investors in that sector.

The following is from Meta AI:

The Pointe-a-Pierre Refinery, also known as the Pierre Refinery, is located in Trinidad and Tobago. It was once the country's largest refinery, operating for over 100 years before its closure in 2018 ¹.

The refinery was initially built by Trinidad Leaseholds Ltd in 1917, with a production capacity of 75,000 barrels of oil per day. Over the years, it underwent several upgrades and expansions, including a major refurbishment that took seven years to complete and was officially opened in 2000 ².

At its peak, the refinery had a capacity of 190,000 barrels per day and was equipped to produce various petroleum products, including liquid petroleum gases, unleaded motor gasoline, and aviation gasoline ¹. However, due to significant financial losses, lack of competitiveness, and declining production, the Trinidad and Tobago government announced its closure in 2018, resulting in approximately 5,500 job losses ¹.

Since its closure, there have been efforts to sell the refinery, with the Trinidad and Tobago government negotiating with potential buyers.
My only interest here is the 5,500 jobs a third world country will export to a second world country despite having a better comparative advantage in the sector in question.
It is only when Nigerians ( both leaders and the led) start reasoning like that in all our decisions that we can have a country but for now oke n'ohia ngwere n'uzo.

I count myself lucky though, I thank God.
What I made in the capital market from Tinubu perceived 2 worst policies not that much but enough for my entire life if well managed .
U have asked me before about my sector n I swear as a poultry farmer, I can't complain about the present administration.
I thank God n I count myself lucky though definitely the economy is not smiling

This reasoning is selfish, you benefitted but more Nigerians lost. The actual fact here is that so many subsistent poultry farmers had to shut down their farms because they could no longer afford the continuously rising cost of feeding and because Nigerian agric sector is more subsistent inclined, it caused a drastic reduction in the supply of chicken in the market which caused a spike in the prices.
When we analyse Tpain policies or any other government, a wholistic approach is better because it takes everybody into consideration.
