i have upgraded to android 6.0 marshmallow on my infinix hot 2.....i cannot find mtp (media transfer) when connected to a pc....pls heeelllppp!!!!!

it should show on your notification bar but if it didn't, go to developer options in settings and look for "select usb configuration", select and choose the one you like.
to enable developer options, enter about phone and tap build number till it tells you " you're now a developer "

if anoda version like android 6.1 comes to upgrade after rooting will I have to flash the android 6 again or a android one initial Rom.... Any Idea

if you only rooted without modifying system, then you just flash your boot image alone. If you modified system then restore your twrp system and boot backup but if you didn't backup, flash yhe lollipop December build on previous page then flash marshmallow.

There are some down sides actually, like not being able to view your files on internal storage. Still sifting my way round it though, you're advice to do some proper back up before upgrading to 6.0, na me come be scape goat since am still not able to locate all my files worth 9Gb on internal storage. On start you'd be prompted to format your external memory as internal memory, thereby converting your external mc to internal, which wouldn't work on any device whatsoever. More so, it deleted some pre installed apps, after downloading Facebook app from play store, it refuses to start, guess some apps ain't compatible on marshmallow yet including Psiphon like how am I gonna surf the net now? Anyone with a way out on how to retrieve files from internal storage should please help out as I can't afford to loose my important files.

download mini tool power data recovery. since android reformatted your storage, when you open the software, select partition recovery and next time ,don't choose adaptable storage over portable storage unless you know what you're doing

flash this via stock recovery https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota/infinix_infinixx510sprout_infinixx510/9393104c63b06172fc7078c01f4a9a586ffdc3aa.update.zip , reboot then flash the marshmallow zip and you're in marshmallow

since you're rooted download terminal emulator
open and type "su" without quotes and enter
then type "reboot recovery" without quotes too and enter.

Been using this phone for two days now and I must say it is a pretty decent phone, this being my first MTK device.... A beast for its price no doubt. But the fact that there isn't any known surefire working root method for this phone is just straight out frustrating to me and this is where I feel the likes of Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG etc will always be kings, the development community are everywhere, you don't have to plough through the entire Internet to get what you want. A quick visit to xda development forum should always get you what you want including the materials, the how-to's if needed and everything else. Until I root this phone, ima continue to treat it as another stubborn step child.

don't blame MTK, rather blame infinix, rooting would have been easier if fastboot flashing was available and their stock recovery not so buggy.
shame on them shallow pricks.

side effects is negligible and can be countered by having stock android one rom downloaded too in case marshmallow shows up on android one first.

To receive updates send OTA to 33233 To boot into recovery send RECO-BOOT to 33233 30 naira/SMS....LOL

Please can anyone post a screenshot of sensors tab using CPUZ. I want to buy this phone as a christmas present for my brother and i just want to make sure it has a gyro sensor so it can work with a VR headset.

it doesn't work with VR, magnetic and gyro sensors are missing. Google cardboard and camera aren't supported.

please bro, don't confuse people, xui on hotnote is far from the same with the Infinix ROM on hot 2. So when giving help,don't give with reference to your device, they are totally different save for android version display number. don't suffer people to waste they MBs because of how awesome you describe xui hoping its the same with that on hot 2.

we can't know till we receive marshmallow, but I expect it only to update infinix ROMs not android one. if if there is an infinix marshmallow, it should update.

about the memory card stuff, its totally normal because memory card is mounted as sdcard0. If you change to infinix ROM ,you need to have the android one ROM nearby so you can update to marshmallow when it arrives.

Also the infinix ROM supports otg and has better battery management. Its superior to android one ROM in terms of stability for a normal user.

mass storage was disabled from Android 4.4+...if you're using infinix ROM or if you're rooted,I can guide you.

Go to your settings.. Sound and notification then notification when device is locked and choose don't show notifications at all or hide sensitive notification content .. That's all

that's not a fix,its unfixable without root. its lollipop default.

it comes with lollipop, until you root and install xposed,you can't do anything about it.

mtk ain't bad in performance but it has less powerful GPU than snapdragon. that's its major shortcoming.
