Nigerian comedian, Funnybone has threatened to sue Nigerian documentary photographer, Seun O who arrived from London sick and still decided to turn up for Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) which was held on March 14, in Lagos.

Recall it was earlier reported that photographer Seun O confirmed that he was feeling unwell after a documentary producer warned of a suspected case of coronavirus who might have attended the AMVCA and interacted with a number of Nigerian celebrities. He however never disclosed his health status after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) sent over a team for a medical test.

Funnybone has however revealed his plans of suing Seun who arrived from London sick and yet decided to attend the AMVCA. The comedian who revealed that he tested negative for the virus, added that he keeps getting calls from family and friends even though the event was held over 14 days ago.

He wrote;

14days after Amvca and I kept getting calls from family and friends asking me the same question , Stanley hope you are good ? Are you coughing ?
Well I am not showing any symptoms yet and I won’t by his grace.

I did the test finally and it came out NEGATIVE. So fam Iam well, alive and safe. Stay safe and be safe

Meanwhile before I forget oga SEUN who arrived from London sick and yet decided to turn up for Amvca . Pls get well soon o and recover fast if nobody will . I will personally sue you to court. But first get will soon you hear.

The Southern Nigeria Peoples Mandate (SNPM) has urged the Federal Government to extend current border closure to 2023 due to its enormous benefits to the country’s economy.

The President of SNPM, Mr. Augustine Chukwudum, made the call on Friday while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.

Chukwudum noted that most Nigerians could now see the positive impact of the border closure on the economy.

“Although, many Nigerians misunderstood the Federal Government when the border was closed last year, but now we have seen the positive impact.

“That is why we have to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for taking such strong decision despite all condemnation from different groups.

“Today, Nigeria government has continued to save N1 billion daily from petroleum products that were hitherto diverted, hoarded and sold across the nation’s borders.

“Even at the seaports today, revenue being generated now is more than three times what the ports used to generate in the past.

“This is enough to show that ships that are supposed to land in our seaports were going to other countries, thereby making Nigeria to lose billions of naira that should have accrued to Nigeria if those goods were cleared here.

“No sensible leader will see his country’s economy sinking and keep quiet.

“All these reasons are why we must encourage and support President Buhari to extend the border closure till 2023,’’ he said.

Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, recently noted that the border closure had yielded result regarding the nation’s security, aside the achievements recorded in economic activities across the country.

The fire incident occurred in the Red House hostel within the premises of LORETTO SPECIAL SCIENCE SCHOOL ADAZI NNUKWU ,ANAOCHA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ,ANAMBRA STATE The fire damaged many school peroperties .
The cause of fire outbreak was not found and no causality or life loss recorded.

The fire outbreak which occurred without any sign of notice ,pulled the Anambra state fire service who proved beyond performance .

The efforts of
Agbili Martin Onyedikachi , the Director of the Anambra State Fire Service is well commended for having controlled the fire with his team. Also, he has proven his capacity of commitment to the service.

Interestingly, Hon Patrick Estate Onyedum (TC Chairman Anaocha ) and Hon Ejiofor Ebele Leonard (Member Respresenting Anaocha 1)* were fully on ground participating and assisting the team .

The spirit of commitment was seen on ground with the help of individuals,school management , students and Anaocha Police Command under Asadu Uchechukwu (DPO).

The fire was seriously controlled because of the efforts of the Executive Governor of Anambra state governor ,Chief Willie Obiano , who has equipped the sector to serve Ndi Anambra effectively and his is greatly appreciated.

A truck on Sunday rammed into a commercial bus and killed all the 12 passengers on board and the bus driver at Abuduka on Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway.

The accident was said to have occurred around 10a.m. at Abuduka Area of Surulere North Local Council Development Area of Oyo State.

Eyewitnesses said the truck lost its brake while climbing a hill and suddenly began to roll backwards. The bus in which there were 13 persons was said to have been trailing the truck very closely and the driver could not manoeuvre the bus to safety before the accident occurred.

Both the commercial bus with registration number ABJ 14XN and the truck were headed for Ilorin before the tragedy.

Eyewitnesses said all the passengers in the commercial bus lost their lives in the accident.

But the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Oyo State, Mrs. Uche Chukwurah, said officers of the organisation got to the scene of the accident shortly after it occurred and confirmed that six persons among the passengers lost their lives, while seven others were critically injured.

She said the injured victims had been taken to the hospital, while the remains of the dead had been taken to the mortuary, adding that he could not confirm whether the death toll had increased as at Sunday evening.

She said updates would be given to the public on Monday when officers of the corps got back to the hospital, where the injured passengers had been receiving medical attention.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday, led other top government functionaries, including service chiefs and members of the diplomatic corps to honour the nation’s fallen and living heroes.

The event, which involved the laying of wreaths at the National Arcade, was one of the highlights lined up to celebrate the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

First to lay the wreath was the President, followed by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad.

In another order, the Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd.) and his Federal Capital Territory counterpart, Malam Mohammed Bello laid the wreaths.

Thereafter, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin; the Chief of Army, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Adm. Ibok-Ete Ibas, performed the exercise.

Other dignitaries, who also performed the wreath-laying ceremony, are representatives of the members of the diplomatic corps as well as Nigerian Legion and widows of late officer/soldiers.

Buhari later led the dignitaries to the signing of register and release of the pigeons.

AFRDC is an annual event by the Ministry of Defence to honour fallen heroes who laid down their lives during the First and Second World Wars, Nigerian Civil War, Peace Support and various Internal Security Operations in the country.

The Remembrance Day provides the opportunity to honour the veterans who are alive as well as solicit for financial support for the families of the dead ones.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the celebration started with series of activities including Jummat prayer on January 10 at National Mosque and Interdenominational Christian service on January 13.
