With the year difference I still think the Accord is better since change is inevitable, the changes found in the accord has made the luxury marks of the lexus OBSOLETE.

Actually it depends on the cars. A 2003 Mercedes Benz E320 is still ahead of a 2008 Honda accord. Both are not in the same class though.

Mecerdes aint a car that someone who is looking for something economical to maintain should go for.

Thats a big downgrade. Instead of rx 300 go for 2003 or 4 highlander. If you live at a place where the roads are good get a honda accord or consider toyota muscle/spider they are roughly at s same price.
