POKUASI2: You crying blood wouldn't stop me from stating the fact and obvious. Kumasi is a glorified village and it's a fact. There's nothing city about it. From the people that watch you like mumu when they noticed you're from ACCRA to the lawlessness and everybody being a thug in it to shitty structures and terrible roads. I was in ABOABO last week and could see airplanes land on that airport and the areas around the airport are worse than okigwe.
The total imo state land area is not not up to Kumasi , even Kumasi indoor market only probably is a quarter of the whole of owerri if factored. The largest part of South East which is onitcha is not even up to one quarter of Kumasi by land mass.
The developed part of Kumasi will sink in the whole total size of south east which you think is beautiful. Your enugu is a bit bigger than magazine a single area location of Kumasi .
ProblemChild1: You mean this same Owerri. I dare you to show me CBD of Kumasi that can rival this then I will quit talking. No go show me university of kumasi oo. Because that's the only beautiful place in kumasi.
Yet it is not at the level of ibadan city development .
kNUST alone in Kumasi will swallow any development in oweri. You think Ghana is joking.
Kumasi indoor market self will gulp the largest infrastructure in owerri talk less of the whole city
POKUASI2: I've been to this Kumasi over 6 times and can categorically state that Kumasi is like okigwe in imo state and not owerri. The only place that feels like a city is TECH JUNCTION and it's mostly about the road. Kumasi can well be described as a glorified village.
it isn't only okigwe, it is okija shrine in anambra state. You talk as if imo state is better developed than ibadan in Oyo state Nigeria . If ibadan is not more developed than Kumasi , what makes imo a second division city be better . Economic migrant .
popizaino: Guy you don't need to sweat it. A popular Nigerian journalist by the name David hundeyin said it,that no West African country comes close to Kenya in development. Forget the online braggado, everyone knows the reality when they log out of nairaland.
people overhyped nearly everything.
Kenya is not better than Nigeria and Ghana, this is a fact. You look into the money in the pulse of the individual and not what the state claim to have .
AMKAG66: Guy try and travel to Nigeria. Try, Lagos, Abuja ,Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, etc.. Trust me bro, your mindset about the level of development in Nigeria will suprise you. Even places like Ilorin will give some African capital cities a run for their money. I’ve been to both Kotoka, MMIA,NAIA and Port Harcourt Airport ... I can easily tell you that those new terminals give them a clear edge. Amidst their leadership struggles, this place is not a pushover. I used to think all these videos about Abuja by all these bloggers like African Tigress, Wode Maya,etc.. where just hype until I got here. Just try and visit again and thank me later bro.
most of us knows Nigeria more than you guys. I have been to 26 different states , I doubt you have traveled within Nigeria that far
Jamestown123: The least airport in Russia, handles 2.5 million passengers annually, so compared to 400k of Kumasi. Why do you wish to compare? Kumasi is the second biggest city in Ghana, but it still can't boost of anything than an airport.
I only show you airport and not because I can't show you more. , what exactly do you want from a city that is not available in Kumasi . Just be honest .
Russia has some few places that are not developed than Ghana as a country. Fact
Jamestown123: If you read my reply to Just30, you will see where I acknowledge that both Ghana and Kenya has more stable electricity compared to Nigeria. But they are not there, or even close to Nigeria yet.
Ghana by example is ahead of Nigeria in social development. Forget the over hyped giant of Africa . Look right within
Jamestown123: How do you want to compare russia's poorest regions with Accra or Kumasi self? Just because of airport? Lafia in nasarawa has an airport my bro. Jigawa state has an airport, that's not development.
what exactly can't be compared in both countries. Aren't Russia not part of European economic powerhouse?
The airport i showed you bove is part of what made up a developed city . If the mentioned cities you write up has airport of such magnificent , then they are developing too.
Jamestown123: In conclusion, while Kenya and Ghana have made significant strides in developing their capital cities, they must not forget the importance of balanced growth and development. By investing in other regions and promoting economic diversification, these countries can reduce inequality, promote stability, and ensure that the benefits of growth are shared by all.
Ghana has made a better strive to the progress of her country than Nigeria.
Some certain thing isn't a biggy in GH. We don't "shout up nepa" here for example . We don't care if light is off or on because we hardly see it off . This is not only happening in Accra alone but the whole of Ghana at large .
Jamestown123: Does this looks like a city that is developed to you?
Yes , a city such as the picture I show you is developed . Many part of Russia towns (one of European country with higher GDP) ain't like dat that is just an example.
Yes it is developed . This is the new international airport . Ghana is just 30 million and we have three standard international airport located in three different city
Jamestown123: All these Kenya and Ghana with their one city development bragging self ehh. Nairobi is taking shape, beautiful skyline and some nice innovations going on there. But in reality, omo Kenyans are seeing things on things. People are migrating in droves from their other smaller towns to Nairobi to seek better life and job, but still yet, the government aren't wise enough to shift development and job creation to other regions. Ghana on the other hand, is only focused on Accra that is looking like Asaba, with PH vibes. Other regions of Ghana are suffering dearly from lack of infrastructure and jobs for its hungry and agile youths. You all knows what this means in a long run for the both countries right? Nigeria would have suffered that same faith if they haven't shifted attention to other cities from Lagos alone.
But this is not true ....
This is Kumasi , about four hours drive away from Accra .
And your silly post about comparing pH and asaba with Accra. We have discussed it here.
I will consider it as bragging. You are free to do so
gallivant: How about deportation rates per country, am sure the data will reflect accordingly. Migrants and students are also economic refugees, they just choose to fly there rather than use dingy boats. Don't get it twisted!!
how are students economic refugee? When student are directly empowering the pulse of their host country thru tuition fees and other miscellaneous expenses.
There is a reason visa tailored for education purpose are granted fast
rvp2018: Anyway, Kenya cannot compete with Ghana or Accra. You're simply not at our level. Big Zoo Nigeria is struggling - leave alone Ghana.
the picture I show you is about 1070 unit. Kpone low housing unit
Ghana isn't Kenya mate , at least the money in the pocket of the people shows the difference. You started mobile money before us , we supersede you in it now .
When it comes to social and human infrastructure , we ain't on the same level.
rvp2018: 1000 units - is not bad - but do you imagine if you sort out main sewage and really build up 1000 units is very small housing estate. Now because you're sprawling and wasting land - it become enormous.
this is another housing unit in some part of Accra .....completed.🇬🇭
1500 unit pls , nearly 1300 already completed. Not a vision but reality . That makes the difference
rvp2018: 1000 units - is not bad - but do you imagine if you sort out main sewage and really build up 1000 units is very small housing estate. Now because you're sprawling and wasting land - it become enormous.
rvp2018: Ghana entire Accra city is struggling to build 10 15 floors building while kenya 1M affordable housing projects are build thousands of 15 floors housing.
Eldoret City Affordable housing
what Ghana has built three years ago ... And will still continue the project next year ...
It is about floors , it is about space outlet ....
