You are not correct. Abuja is cheaper than Lagos in transportation (uber, bolt) and food. It only competes with Lagos in rent. Abuja doesn't even have such talk less of okada) bodaboda in kenya)

I think everywhere in the South, one dollar at 890 naira would still get you a plate of Eba, Soup, and Meat. If we use the black market rate of today, one dollar at 1400 naira would still get you that even in okay restaurants.

I don't know if 11 cedis can get you a plate of such food anywhere in Northern Ghana. If it can of course I am ready to learn.

Also, Accra and Abuja are not even close when it comes to high cost of living. Only Lagos comes close to Accra in that in the entire Nigeria.
You guys love deciving yourself. An average nigerians used paragon and BRT buses( trotro in Ghana) than uber and bolt in Nigeria. Those commercial buses are way more cheaper in lagos than Abuja.

A dollar is 12 cedis at average rate , that is enough for good meal in the northern Ghana. You will even eat averagely in the southern Ghana..12 cedis is probably above a 1000 naira .

Abuja is more expensive than lagos . Rent, transportation , restaurant , clubs and the rest

you do know that what 1$ can get me in Nigeria is far cheaper than what I'd get if I spent same amount of dollar bill in Ghana.
it varies ogbeni, I have been hearing this nonsense quite a lot . Northern Ghana is way far cheaper than southern Nigeria ( groceries) . While northern Nigeria is actually more cheaper. Accra and Abuja are quite the same when it comes to expenses only lagos seems more cheaper

Is transportation to Ghana more expensive than transportation to Asia? grin

Mr man, I go Asia last year. How much is 100,000 naira compared to that? grin

The point is Abuja fine pass Accra. grin
The point is not about how much, the point is can you afford it now coupled with the austerity in Nigeria .

He said Kigali was cleaner than Abuja and that's the only thing he said. He didn't say Kigali was more organized or developed.

Again he's made it clear, [b]there's no city in Ghana he can compare with Abuja. If he had given parameters earlier as Serenity, Cleanliness, and development and said Abuja cannot be compared to any city in Nigeria and Ghana in terms of all this, but for cleanliness, Kigali is cleaner, what else are you twisting and arguing about?

Now your doubting Thomas is cured from doubting. grin
Doubting that what, that you spent about 10 to 15 thousands naira cheaply for transportation to Ghana) less than 100 cedis

Try it now , you will spend nothing less 90 to 100,000 naira to Ghana . Then I will know you are talking.

If they start ranking cities by individual experience, hospitality and Infrastructural developments and entertainment, you sure know lagos, ph city, Enugu city, uyo and Abuja will be rank higher than any Ghanaian cities, including Accra.
lol... You think Accra is a mini second class city right? It is because you are naive . Even cotonou ( french City) will beat those city you mentioned when it comes to entertainment.

No city beat Accra in the entire of west africa in night life . We don't sleep here . Abeg only lagos comes close

If Calabar alone was in Ghana, I'm sure the Ghanaians won't let us breath.
But nothing special about Calabar? Similar version are dotted elsewhere in Nigeria. It was not even natural. Even the ranch is practically dead now due to lack of maintenance.

I put it to you that if cape coast was a city in Nigeria, Nigeria will have market it better than Ghanaian . Evidence is the similar version in badagry. It has the history but lacks the captivation .

how does the emboldened correspond with government spending? Does government buy goods from the average man on the street that'll make him increase price or reduce supply?

There's difference between "government spending" and "throwing cash into the system", if that's what is confusing u.....

Unless government reduce spending and increase tax, u say? what school of thought made u come up with that? If government increase tax and reduce spending, what should money generated from the tax be utilized?
money is meant for spending , spending and again spending. Availability of too much money to spend leads to inflation that is the direct explanation of the whole shit to you. If you have no idea.

It depends though. Maybe if Government prints money excessively and throws into the system like that which so many Governments did to survive the aftermath of COVID.
But Government can spend in a way to reduce inflation e.g through subsidy in production.
so you even have a clue on how the result of the covid-19 spending leads to inflation in many part of the world including the mighty ones. ( Let me give you a little example , once there is much availability of cash in the system , particularly in a country that import less and export more like us , it forces supplier to increased prices of goods inorder to limit or curb demand being supplied. That is pull inflation in economics.

There is no strong evidence that government throwing cash into the system can curbed inflation, it is rather the other way round.

Unless govt reduce spending and increases tax.

inflation doesn't happen cos of government spending, excessive or not..... In fact, govt spending reduces inflation.

Thought I should chip that in.
Not for a nation that depends on loan for her capital expenditure. There are two ways into inflation . The people and the government. Particularly when money used for capital expenditure are spends into project that those not directly pay off her own debt

Who's responsibility is it to make sure that our inflation stays low?

Also when you take loans and use them on profitable projects you will benefit but when you waste it on unproductive projects you will bear the consequences
Anyone whose studied economics knew inflation was going to take off because of john mahama excessive spending. They lied until they couldn’t hide anymore but it favor them, they weren't in the power, the new government also start behaving like the past administration.both of them need a knock on their head .

Most of the loans secured had been used to safe the free shs and free meal( good loan) frustrating other means to spend on other relatable projects.

That's the issue with some of you.

He cannot be credited for Projects he came to meet cos loans for those projects were secured before he came into power

I am talking of the projects he Nana Addo has done since he came into office. He has so far borrowed over 650 billion cedis within 7 years. Mahama borrowed less than 250billion within 4 years, you know the projects Mahama completed and those he could not complete so what has Nana also done with the plenty money he borrowed?

Abeg PTC interchange in Takoradi has stalled for many months now
Do you consider inflation when you are talking about the difference in loan secured by the two political party ?

I am not in support of political party but a strong governance system.

Tamale flyover and which other interchanges were done by him again?
I hope you are not thinking of Pokuase and Tema interchanges.
Even most of mahama project were completed when his out of office . This problem are mainly issue of politics rather than money , works not done on time is common among politicians for whatever politician reasons .

Go check Takoradi interchange, one of the largest in africa ( it is yet to be completed that is true, infact so many of his project will be completed after his tenure

ACCRA- KUMASI ROAD DUALIZATION.

TEMA - ACCRA ROAD DUALIZATION

MANY URBAN CITY DEVELOPMENT ACROSS TAKORADI, TAMALE , KUMASI and so forth. Infact when it comes to flyover/ interchange. akuffo has done well. So many of it in accra alone .

I know Abuja quite very well before I came across wode Maya thru youtube video .

Note that between 2018 and now, a lot has happened in PH though.
