I am glad nobody listened to him. He is one of reason Ghana is bankrupt. His revolutionary idea was to borrow ministry of education budget - for 5yrs - and use it to build model schools. That kind of over-leveraging or over-borrowing - end results - BANKRUPTCY.

We dont do such nonsense. We listened to them as we are open minded. But sorry we have some of Africa best policy makers.

We have achieved 100% transition since 2018 - without double track nonsense.

We have almost free education from primary to secondary to university.

Now we are adding school feeding programs for primary kids.
Ghana is scoring you 7 goals to nothing here . We have been doing this and better seven years back at full scale .even far wider and cover than yours . Basic, primary and secondary education is entirely free here.

Free education from basic to secondary level.
Free boarding from basic to secondary level .
Free feeding from basic to secondary level . Even our kids drink rich chocolate .

Absolutely free transport service as well.

You can now see why your govt will always write another letter for Ghana assistance again.

Your country is broke , she will not be able to pilot it at full. The little you try to implement , you run out of dollars.

And the idea was found to be idiotic - only Ghana can send kids for six month at home - then bring others. Build schools.

There is no double track nonsense in Kenya.

Yet we have achieved 100% transition of primary kids to secondary - since 2018.
can you shut up . This is just less than three years. Which year do you achieve 100 percent primary transaction rate . 2020 or year after . Your letter is not more than three years .

This is former deputy minster of education in Ghana lecturing your president on how Ghana is about to revolutionized her education system. Kenyatta was even at the seat . They were all schooled .

1) There was no mistake. Ghana policy wonks were looking for a city that Ghana could realistic aspire to be in 2050 - and they settled on Nairobi of the 1980s. Now with your bankruptcy - I kinda of blame Nairobi - it made the current gov overambitious and sunk your country.

2) Kenya write to many countries, go to benchmarking in many countries, copy ideas all over the world. It doesnt mean Ghana or Uganda or Guinea is better than kenya. It mean we are willing to hear and listen to ideas.

For example, we wre looking to achieve africa first 100% transition from primary to secondary, and we were asking if we can adopt Ghana double track - and we found it be nonsensical - and didn't pursue it further. We have achieved 100% transition now - going into 4th year - without the double track nonsense. We instead decided to build more classes and more secondary schools.

On 2nd - I see small country syndrome - everytime Kenya come to site visit something in Ghana or TZ - it's the validation you need.

Nope, you should have been coming to Kenya, to copy many things that makes Kenya great, that has seen kenya grow despite having no gold, no oil, no bauxite like you.

For example, you should come and copy our co-operative movement and mindset - which is truly admirable in Africa - and is corner stone of our development.
you are lame in thinking , this is what your govt personally pen down. ( Minister of education .

""I will appreciate if you can consider sending one or two officers to spend about 10 days in Kenya, preferably before end of March 2020, to help conceptualise and design the Double Track System," the statement said, adding that, " Kenya will meet travel, accommodation and any other related costs"" that is how hungry you were then before your election , assuming a new govt with kenyatta philosophy continue , the adoption will have been fully implemented. You don't copy or borrow idea that is of no useful, you borrowed idea that is superb than yours. As you can see , the idea was taunted to be successful and hence the willingness to copy it .

We have given you before we can still give you again.

You own president wont have used Nairobi as North Star.
Dar is like Accra - just slightly better.
Nairobi slums occupy 2.5 percent of the land and 5 percent of built up area - hidden in river valleys and forests.
Dar Slum occupy 95 percent of the land.

Ask KaziKazi to provide you with drone shot of Dar Slums.

It will be like Accra - they will have to show small section of it.
You keep repeating this thing as if you gotten a golden egg for it . Mistakes happens and that is from his own ends . He even apologize for such rubbished . Kenya on the other hand wrote a direct letter seeking assistance from Ghana on how to implement some certain kind of educational policy . That is official and not deniable . What is even more ridiculous is that, Ghana has share so many important part of her growth in election , democracy and now education with you lots . Yet she doesn't brag about it like your poor self .

Only those who are unexposed like you idiot will agree nairobi is better than Accra .

Ghanaian 🇬🇭 architect David Adjaye has designed a new interfaith complex in Abu Dhabi, UAE, called the “Abrahamic Family House”.

The building has been inaugurated by the United Arab Emirates and accommodates a mosque, church and synagogue.

Speaking in an interview, David Ajaye said:

“In the Mosque, the light surrounds you until you get to the silence and the stoicness of facing Mecca. In the church, you hear the sound of rushing water. For me, water is so important in Christianity. The church is an ark in the world.”

The synagogue is the first of its kind in the UAE and faces towards Jerusalem.

The interfaith complex is supposed to enhance tolerance and understanding among the Abrahamic faiths.

There is difference btw accepting LGBT and allowing people to advance or promote LGBT as human rights. Kenya court recognise the right of someone to form NGOS to support LGBT causes. That is not right to engage in LGBT. It right to talk about it.

Homosexuality is illegal in kenya although nobody has been successfully tried for it - as we do not have anal inspectors yet. Maybe you can send Ghana experts on that.

We also have many people condemned to death - but we have a vacancy for someone to kill them - the last dude died in 1980s - and nobody has been executed since then. Maybe Ghana can also help send us executioner.
what a nonsense write up. A display of madness. Who cares if you practice it or not . The fact is, you entertained the discussion in your highest court and that is a fact. You should have limit it to pornographic house to discussed it. What a shambolic zoo you called a country . We censor what should be going out here .

Ghana is for Ghanaian and homosexuality isn't part of our norms and value here but guns control is and we are willing to help America on it . isn't that stupid enough forcing what is not part of us to be delivered straight in our stomach. How two willing adult does their things is their cup of coffee not Ghana highest court case, this is not a simp country like kenya . We have serious issues to discussed and nonsense laws to abolished here. We recently changed succide case from a punishable case to a civil case . Therefore patient are taking for counseling thru the hands of professional .

it sound like should LGBTQ be required to wear a t-shirt . "I am a gay/lesbian so therefore respect me as a human" . Do you need that to survived as a gay/ lesbian in life ? Same goes to atheist and ufos . If whatever you are doing is not harming the norms and society values you are part of, Then it is your own headache until you try to harm us with it.

You speak like a stupid adult. who is having interest with LGBT? . The most powerful number 2 US citizen visit Ghana and she again propel the LGBT idea and our law makers make her eat it back . So what is your problem? America knows the soft power Ghana posses right from independence, if they want to champion anything on africa , Ghana is always part of the country they first test run it .

I am sure many Kenyans also will like america to stop shoving the LGBT rights down our throats, and instead discussed about real life issues . The life threatening issues like gun control and violence ? So stop being stupid by telling vaxx to speak only for herself.

Anyway, we've had openly gay Ghanaians since the 50s and they've had no problems in Ghana.
This is africa , it is openly spell out . Our culture and society values isn't supporting it and it seems evolution of culture isn't going to change it either . America must recognised that . We have a moral standard to protect . And no amount of western system or propaganda can change it .

Whatever anybody do in their own bedroom is their own cup of coffee, but we will not allowed that ptrivilege to saturates our society.

And as for gun control , which is more important topic than this LGBT community right , we have a better system that works here than America , so we can help them on that . This is a matter of life , it make more sense talking about it than this LGBT nonsense rights.

Yeah ... It's good that they are clearly defining and opening up the career paths ...

No one should be limited as to what they can do and what they cannot.

This will solve the failure of guidance and counseling at Senior high schools.
And this idea of science class being the best option for student will be solved as well. Anybody can study from whatever class he/ she has strength at first stage . Gaining admission into medicine, law , or any engineering class shouldn't be a limited option. An art college major student can still do medicine in unis in as much he/ she will be doing pre medicine major so are other class too. A fantastic america innovation . I hope it works, the new govt if voted in power may decide to discard it . .

It will also solve bribery case( the issue of seeing parent trying to force their wards into the class they don't really merit in the beginning.

This is what the STEM education is trying to improve as well as the coming onboard of more liberal class room settings in Cat A and B schools.

I think a lot of people know where the name Ghana comes from
I love this idea of having pre engineer class for non science student . So superb , it will interest you to know student who study fine art can actually do wonders in architectural class than so many science major . I love the idea of trying to convert the liberal art student straight to science specific major . It will improve the STEM numbers and also the quality .

Kenya gov does that. The laws applies to everyone - informal or formal. If gov set minimum wages - say 130USD like kenya - and you underpay someone - he can go to court.

Even house maid in kenya - you've to be careful.

https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001230827/house-helps-in-kenya-win-big-in-court-battles-with-employers
The Government in 2015 raised the salary for house helps to a minimum Sh10,954 from Sh9,781.

In addition to the basic pay, employers are also required to allow their workers a compulsory weekly 48-hour break which is an equivalent of two days off and also contribute to the National Health Insurance Fund and National Social Security Fund on their behalf.

Failure to give off days, according to Regulations of Wages (General) (Amendment) Order 2015, attracts Sh527 compensation per day or Sh4,216 a month.
