The usual mad ranting we've come to expect from Ghanians. How does this even make sense. You think Ghana is only economy with large informal sector. That is true for almost every African country. Still gov should set decent minimum wages in formal sector that will guide the informal sector.
You are an idiot , informal economy are majorly a one man ventures , so how is govt going to set a standard on how much many individual who are into it are going to pay themselves. Govt should be responsible for how much one man who owns a business should be earning on his own ventures , you are not just mad , you are idiot too.

Ghana average wage now about a dollar

𝚄𝚗𝚊𝚙𝚘𝚕𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚒𝚌 𝙽𝚒𝚌𝚔©✍🏿atdomynych
¢14.80 is the minimum daily wage in Ghana, when food can easily cost the average person ¢500-1000/m (¢20-30 daily), means a sizable number of Ghanaians are FOOD POOR. Food prices relative to wages should dominate our political discourse and not party politics. We're SUFFERING!
An average income is not a standard in an informal economy . How many times will that be repeated to fool. Minimum wages can never do justice here .

we don't seem to have appreciated Gridco and ECG as much.

Basically all utility providers here are so diligent
I always have this assurance at the back of my mind whenever I am traveling to rural Ghana that there will be light supply and I have never been disappointed . What I want now is realiable internet speed anywhere anytime like the electricity.

According to rvp, unprofitable for power companies
if there is anything Ghana has really done well . It is the electricity sector. Nearly every nook and cranny in Ghana are electrified . Even the remote village which is not connected by road nor water constantly experience 24/7 electricity .

But do we have an option......

According to a worldwide survey conducted by the Pew Research Centre, Ghana is the 3rd country in the world that loves America, behind the Philippines and Israel. The research indicated Ghanaians love USA more than the Americans love their own country.

You're confirmed clinical mad.
So you 10M dollars mosque is now Mecca smiley
And one useless catherderal you're struggling to build will now become St Peter Vatican smiley

Be satisfied with slave dungeons of cape coast that is mecca of slavery. Nobody will take that from you.

For Muslim nobody - not even if they build 1 billion dollars mosque - will replace Mecca - or Hajj - as it one key pillars of Islam.
For Catholic - there will always be one vatican.

For African American - Ghana slave dungeons will always be their mecca of their slavery and suffering. Invest in the slave dungeon tourism.
Fool , always looking for reasons to argue , who is telling you a mosque in Ghana is replacing that of mecca ? Are you daft or something? Muslim has so many little mosque they adhore in their heart that is different from mecca . There is one in jerusalem, it is even regarded as the second mosque to them in terms of spiritual ranking to that of mecca . There are some in egypt too . The senegal one called kaola is also of high spiritual importance to the tijaniya muslim in west africa .

So what is the color of your madness? Is it that you don't know catholic synagogue in france earns more revenue to the govt of france than your useless tea or what ?

u mean ur Muslim friends should leave the mosques in their own countries just to come and worship in a certain mosque in GH simply because it share similarities with another certain mosque in Türkiye.

Wow.😳
What is wrong ? Muslim are living their comfort zone to saudi arabia every year to go worship in mecca mosque . What is wrong with that. If you have the money you can do it . You can mixed holiday and religious activity together . It doesn't matter

There's no gold for old... It was a negotiation strategy.

It's cheap because the cedi value has improved
the gold for oil deal makes it cheaper comparing it to dollar for oil . The window market proves it . The cedis hasn't gain much likely since the beginning of this year

Convert to naira

It is expensive than in Nigeria but cheaper than in Kenya
And it is also cheaper than neighbouring Togo and bourkina faso as well. It used to be the opposite last year. At least the Gold for oil deal idea is a valuable one

can't afford to import fuel
can't finance any infrastructure project,
dollars shortages and etc
It has to not borrow which means years of underdevelopment will continue for more years.

A broke country
so this people don't know the meaning of shortage of dollars?

If you are short of international currency "" dollars "" then you are really broke because you can't even do neither

rvp2018:
We dont have history of ever defaulting in our debt - we aint about to start. We are not fools like Ghana.

Legally an account goes into default if it’s closed by the lender following mounting arrears, and has the ability to affect a borrower’s or country’s creditworthiness.

The delayed payment came in a year when Kenya had asked for an extension of the debt repayment moratorium from bilateral lenders, including China, by another six months to December 2021, saving it from committing billions to the Beijing lenders.

But the lenders, especially the Exim Bank of China, opposed Kenya’s application for a debt repayment holiday in a standoff that delayed disbursements to projects funded by Chinese loans.

China postponed the repayments in January last year, helping Kenya temporarily retain Sh27 billion that was due for six months ending June 2021. The opposition from Chinese lenders forced Nairobi to drop its push for an extension of the debt repayment holiday to avoid straining relations with Kenya’s biggest bilateral creditor.

And you never read Treasury rebuttal.
In 2020 during COVID Kenya applied for G20’s Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI)
We got six months relief - not pay about 700M dollars owed to G20 countries.
Chinese EXIM BANK later claimed SGR loan was not covered by G20’s Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI).
We paid.
Old story.
Last month alone we paid Chinese 500M dollars - as the loans are paid every six months.

Do you know what STUPID GHANA did in 2020 - when everyone was going for G20’s Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI)

They refused - said their credit rating will take a hit - and they run for Eurobond for 3 billion dollars.

NEVER SEEN SUCH KIND OF RECKLESSNESS. I predicted here Ghana will go BANKRUPT.

Middle of COVID-19 like crisis - you take commercial loan of 3 billion.

And indeed last year you went BELLY UP
You are yet to debunk this fact?
