First of all i want to congratulate all those that have been invited for the interview because you are the lucky ones. I have finally given up because today i was given the shock of my life and I wish I never started this process at all. To cut the long story short i contacted the guy in charge via email and gave him my data he cross checked and his response made it clear that there is nothing i can do. I wrote the test on the 12th and everything was perfect, i scored 41 and the computer recorded my score normally but when I contacted him today he responded telling me that I scored 30 and not 41 well it is unfortunate because i didn't take a snapshot of the result and I have to evidence to prove my score so i thanked him and said goodbye to niger delta. I don't know if they sold my result or if it was a system error but the truth is that i feel very disappointed and i have already given up. I will still pursue my career and i will rather work for a white man for free than come back home to help niger delta which i actually had in mind before this whole scholarship thing came up. For those who are still hopeful, u can contact the guy he answered really fast but i doubt if they can do anything now because the last messages where sent on Sunday and no one has received anything since then. All the same more good luck to the lucky ones.

Omo now this is a game changer! Are u kidding me?? R they selling our scores or what? WTF! This Na Rubbish o. Next thing they go talk sey Na 5 I get. Anyway I everyone should send in their details through mail. He just replied my mail from yesterday n said they will verify.

Update: it seems that they will really contact us ooo. I told my cousin to go there. He just called me that he went to the hotel and apparently saw godsion himself who showed him my pix from social media I contacted him with and told my cousin that he had already replied me that I will n contacted in 48 hrs. So let's wait m see......kinda encouraging I must say.

So I searched him n found him in other social media platforms n that's when I got a reply. Ofcos i asked nicely since i didnt go official way. So scroll up u will see his mail. if he gets there anything they give u, u collect n say thank you. It doesn't paint a good picture at all. He should b asking about dress code or howbthe interview was. Or did they wait as long as we waited during d test. Not how much money did they give u. We r grown ups please. Some of us r going for Masters degree n Ph.D there should be a level of maturity that comes with that. Haba

That's not true they are pple with low scores that have not been invited Ihave not been invited I contacted the said marge they said my score was low for project management I don't even know the cut off.

Please when I was referring to Local Govt, I was talking about the final selection for award of the scholarship. I don't know anything about how people are selected for the second stage.

But using common sense, if there is someone, from the same local govt like you, that scored lower than you and got an invite, then you should also be invited. However it is highly unlikely that two people from the same village or two siblings will get the final award.

Just speak to the MARG guy and trust him to sort it out. last year over 40% of people did not get the mail to come for their scholarship award letter, not to talk of interview. I don't know why NDDC cannot just leave these things in the hands of more enlightened people; this thing is no longer rocket science.

if it is true that the MARG guy sent invites by email, then it is also true that he has the list of everyone that was suppose to be invited.

if I were in your shoes, I will contact him, and give him my details to help me verify.
the details to send to him will normally include
your Name, Ref code (DEL-0#########), Score (0 - 50), State, Level (PhD or MSc) and Field (like engineering, geoscience, etc).

please try to coordinate yourselves properly and go about things in an educated way. Don't give Buhari and your other jealous Nigerian brothers any excuse to terminate this good work.

For instance, I don't know anyone, yet I got the scholarship, and the experience has been worth it.

Your advice is insensitive cuz it's not our faults that an incompetent hand handled our scores. People expressing themselves here, helps those who stay far know how to manage their situation. So stop being insensitive and mind your bizness.

all he is saying this is time to be proactive instead of waiting for a text that might never come. Try to get phone number to call, send a mail, send someone to go check out at venue to see what's happening. That's all

I think you actually make sense. But the thing is people that stay far away. Could b an issue.

I think you should keep your mouth shut and allow people express themselves. If you have been sent a text go and prepare for interview and stop behaving like a kid. I have very reliable information coming from both NDDC and the consultant company handling the exams so please be reasonable and respect the boundaries.

This is the issue,

NDDC has a cut-off stipulated for each state, the consultants select those that meet the cut-off and send the names back to NDDC who are now responsible for allocating interview dates and sending SMS

The names are being sorted manually and they are still in the sorting process, the interview dates will stretch to two weeks so definitely those that have not received who meet the cut-off will be sent their SMS eventually and interview dates allocated to them.

Let all nerves be calm, and pray to God that everything work out fine.


Mind you, I'm not an applicant am just observing.

Omo if people from Rivers and Delta with high scores have not even been called, something crazy is just wrong. The main Niger Delta people. I think we should start thinking about reaching out. If anybody gets positive feedback should let us know. There's no harm in trying.

Criminalmindz what are you talking about? There is a system and it should work for the people who worked hard for it and deserve a slot in the interview. I wrote on Monday, it was bad enough that an exam for 1 o'clock didn't start till 7:30pm and I had to write it 3 times before I got a score. Now I scored high and I haven't been called. A friend of mine with the same course, the same State, the same LGA got a lower score but was called. Another friend scored high but wasn't sent an sms until he went to nddc office to complain. Please if u don't know what to say, just keep quiet. The system is flawed and this particular year, it was very disorganized.

there's nothing like levels. If he got 42 or 45 he scored high. He's being realistic.

I actually got the number of one of the guys sending the SMS and he said they aren't done sending. He requested for my details and said I will get today as they will send more text messages today. He also said he's aware many people who scored high haven't been texted and that they are working to rectify that. I'm hoping they sort it out today. I quite fancy the idea of going to NDDC headquarters to lodge a complaint early as it gives time for them to do something before the interviews r done with, as when they finish it will be too late to do anything. Cause trust me some people that score high will still be omitted at the days end if they aren't proactive about this.

this does not show Professionalism at all. Smh. At this rate u willnreach out to get scholarship. U will also reach out for them to pay the scholarship after leaving u stranded. They need better organisation abeg. If we didn't see our scores some of us would think we failed. The system is sad.

I have a major update for those who haven't gotten their invites (I'm included) - I found the people in charge n contacted them - they assured me I will be sorted soon that they are sending it manually n v been skipping names - if I am sorted will let you guys in on it.

oh ur not takimg no for an answer. Lol. Nice one. To me the whole manual thing or what ever makes the thing more fishy. We are in 2015 even a simple excel can handle scores arrangement n even state quota in one single click n they send out everything at once. Na them sabi sha.

So far, from what I have read on nairaland it seems most of the peps that gets the scholarship were prospective students of UK schools.
Am wondering if NDDC has a bias towards UK schools or applicants with a one-year master program course. Your responses will be appreciated.

my friend is in Stanford University. It didn't cover everything but it helped him a lot cos he had started first n was doing graduate assistantship before he got nddc alert. I don't thing it's strictly UK. The thing is UK schools give admission on platter of gold while places like US n Canada u have to prove urself. They don't care about the money. So sell urself during the interview u never know what could happen. Plus all the articles I read on scholarships they said "schools around the world" nothing specific on UK. So u never know

am more curious of the fact since we had unique identity codes which has our personal records and disciplines. So these people that wrote when did they arrange all this? Knowing which discipline each belongs to? Abi they asked them by mouth? Still fishy. But anything is possible.

1. Can NDDC pay the awarding university all neccessary fess if you decide to do their online program and remain here in naija cos of your job.

2. Would you forgo NDDC SCHOLARSHIP, if you just got good paying job with an annual salary of over N5,000,000 with a car. You have to choose between going to some UK school and getting Masters and then coming back to get a job OR accept this job offer as stated above (by the way I Already have a Masters degree from UNILAG.

bro stick with the job. There r many options. Uk is not a place to leave a job like that for.
