Your documents shows your car is registered more than a year. In some situations just try to keep off and use instinct also. |

big father: No i did not say you should flaunt your ride, i believe you won't do that because investigation can still reveal things. But what i mean is that your car will not be seen as Toks again after a year and you can drive with no fear. Thanks |

@Yodee As you have not answered my question already, i glanced through your thread and realised that your car had been registered and used for over a year, i think i'm correct. Do not be deceived my brother, any car age above 10 or so can not legally come into the country. This is the reason they are shipped to cotonou and smuggled into the country, so any paper accompanying such vehicle comes the way the vehicle enter the country. I mean the custom paper/duty is arranged for the vehicle for registration purpose. Ok, can you figure out why they are shipped to cotonou and not directly to Nigeria Port? Now listen very carefully, if you try to get another custom papers/duty it will still be as thesame as the previous papers used for the registration. The situation would have been different if the car age is within the accepted age by the Federal Government. My advicce for you is to keep off the custom officers for sometime, i think after a year or when you start renewing your papers you should be free from them. Please do not waste your money! Finally vehicles from cotonou are as legal as those one from Nigeria port if the age is within the accepted age range. What you need to do is to pay your custom duty accordingly to the Government. Thanks for assimilating this fact. |

ikeyman00: Thanks too for your appreciation. The cost for the whole documents depends on the make , model and engine capacity of the vehicle, and it also depends on whether it is for registration, change of ownership, or renewal purpose. For further information do not hesitate to call us. samstels: Yes you are correct, you definitely need tinted glass permit and it is only authorized by the Inspector General of Police (IG). The tinted glass permit is collected once with no renewal. Call us for direction and procedure. Thanks. |

Sorry for my absence, i got Computer problems and i do not like going to Cafe. olu-romeo: You will get papers that will keep Police and VIO off your back but, customs i'm not so sure. It depends on how your dealer get it into the country. But let not deceive each other if it is older than 10years, it is illegal to get it into the country. It is simply called smuggling. Nevertheless, many of older cars are getting in everyday, my advice for you is just to keep off the custom officers for sometime. Thanks. big father: YES. The guy is correct, you need to go to Abuja if the car was registered there. Thanks. |
