Family › Re: Should I Expose My Wife's EX? by VEIL1234: 11:30pm On May 27, 2017 |
So on point. missomo: I think you have a very good woman as a wife. Let me tell you why.
Your wife obviously was very close to her ex. It is obvious that the issues she had in the marriage made her confide in someone she thought was a close friend. The fact that he was married too made her more comfortable. Unfortunately, he turned out to be an opportunist. Immediately she discovered he had ulterior motives she backed away and let it be. That's a good woman. People make mistakes and she didn't even commit adultery but fled from it.
She is a bit foolish and immature though but good because she told you. Most women won't ever tell you what happened but because she has a simple mind and an innocent spirit she did.
Poster, can you come out here and say truthfully that you haven't had an extra marital affair since you married her? She probably discovered one or two of your flings and she decided to retaliate during a fight by saying that she went to see a man. She didn't see any man. She came back late because she spent time with a female friend complaining and vowing to teach you a lesson. She said she was with a man simply to prove to you that she too can be found appealing by someone outside. No woman unless she is feeding you will ever admit or flaunt her infidelity to your face.
You should sit down with you wife and in a civil manner tell her what you think she has done wrong. You people should sort it all out in one night and there should be no secrets or secret movements between you two.
Lastly know that there is no perfect marriage. Don't listen to anyone here saying she is a prostitute because you know she isn't and that is why you wifed her. I wish you both the best. |

Good Evening house,
I finally got medical request today, but there's a small issue. I applied with my 2 year old son and my 5 years old daughter. I got the letters for the clinic for my son and I, didn't find any for my daughter. Anyone had any similar experience before? What do I do? How can I enquire as the mail is a ''do not reply' e-mail. Thanks ahead. |

I should think paper is faster, from the trend. I still stand to be corrected, and yes your son would be TRV while your wife open work permit. toluberry: Hello seniors, pls which route is faster and better at the moment online or paper application? Also just for confirmation my son is 9 months old his own application should be visiting right while my wife's own is sowp?
Thanks in advance for the quick response. |

What how? Is your spouse on study permit? I am guessing you did upfront medicals? I am so sorry pls be encouraged. jobmman: I finally got an update in my mailbox yesternite, (paper application but i linked it online). When i saw it my heart skipped. When i finally got the courage to open it, lo and behold i was Refused based on personal assets and financial status. (meanwhile i submitted a treasury bill certificate in millions alongside my app). My total wait time was 15 weeks, my only consolation Is dat we ve also submitted PR app after getting ITA recently. It will surely end in praise. Peace out (jumman) |

Congratulations, that's medical request. Please when did your husband apply? Paper or online? Iyalodeofcanada: Hi everyone o.
My husband got an update from cic today on our SOWP application. Some of the field on the application profile reads: "Review of medical result: We are reviewing the results of your medical exam. "Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents. Note that we have not been requested to do medicals neither did we do upfront medicals. However, they sent him medical report form "IMM 1070E". The content of that IMM 1070E looks like he has been required to go for medicals. Can someone who has pass through this stage explain what is happening?
Thank you all. |

Seconded!!! very correct. Folaroyal: I am sorry but this attachment shows Proof of funds for Skilled immigrants (Express Entry).. There is NO place in the CIC guides, regulations or requirements specifying particular amounts needed for Open Work Permit!!
Please be guided... If you are filling the form, you are the main applicant & you will be required to show present proof of employment cos the visa you are applying is that of a worker!!
Your proof of fund is also the most important.... Your spouse in Canada is probably studying and not expected to show your sponsor funds!!!..
You need his/her copy of passport, study permit, proof of address and maybe an invitation/consent letter.
If accompanying children exists, ... Your employment, parents/siblings, assets, pension and co becomes your ties to home country!!!
It's better to apply when your spouse is still in school as your requirements and conditions to meet grows wider if he/she has graduated or are working!!!
Regards |

For SOWP, theres no range, but be wise and provide as much as possible. kasco2pro: As Odianose13 said your husband funds matters most. According to cic, the table shows how much he should have. If he is working, include his employment letter, notice of assessment for each tax years he filed and bank statement that should suffice. |

[quote author=shinarambo1 post=54390624 Thanks a lot for the info I am no sure my huby even knows this as he is currently in saskatoon schooling. The certification for HR is CHRP. Well, let's see how he it goes.
Your kids would be okay in any city. Environmental professional in saskatoon? most environmental jobs are located in much smaller towns and cities. With HR, i know there is a professional certificate that HR professionals aim for in canada to enhance their chances of landing a job, but i dont remember the name of the cert.[/quote] |

Following from the trend. Paper application has been faster than whatever you see quoted as processing times. I am aware that you can request for your passport if you need it before a decision is made but I am not sure how it works yet. Whichever way, once you submit your original passport and you do not request for it before a decision is made, It will remain with them till they are done processing, however long it takes. Mbogi: Wow! I have no idea, I have never use paper application, are you saying that they will keep your passport for 36weeks? What if you want to travel? This is sick |
Travel › Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by VEIL1234: 8:27pm On Mar 05, 2017 |
Okay, thanks for the clarification. Mbogi: It's only a speculation for now, it's not official yet, it's not cancelled yet this is what I heard from immigration lawyers discussion, thay have it on the table for consideration because Canadian are complaining that we are coming in and taking their jobs, that was why they came up with LMIA with high application fee, the next step is to cancel the whole program, I don't have a page or link to show you but people are talking about it.
I'm just making sense on why our processing time is this long, few staffs are working on our work permit application. |
Travel › Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by VEIL1234: 11:59am On Mar 05, 2017 |
That should have been a better option, the problem is there's a high rate of refusal for visit visa. It also take some three months to apply within canada. I really don't know why processing times increased this much as at early last year btw Jan and feb to be precise it was 51 days. This will all end in praise amen! Sarang: Is it better to apply for this work permit from Naija or to apply visit visa then transform it while here?
The time is not encouraging for direct application. |

Spot on! God bless u. dupyshoo: I was discussing with someone yesterday about DIY (Do It Yourself) and I thought I should share it with people on this thread.
As we are planning to get ITA, submit application or waiting for PPR. Let's take our time to learn some new skills which will be really handy when we get to Canada. Skills like making hair, sewing clothes, painting, decorating your house, repairing electrical goods, plumbing work will save you a lot of stress. These are skills that can easily fetch money that you will not have to pay tax on. Even if you are not making money out of it, you won't need to call tradesmen that will charge you exorbitant fees. You will have to learn how to maintain your home yourself. You wont be able to call electrician to come and fix light bulb for you or a painter to paint your room.
I will use UK as an example as I have not really lived in Canada, you can buy Ankara for £20 and will have to pay £30-£50 to sew it. To slim fit or shorten a pair of Jeans/trouser will cost you more than the amount you bought the Jeans. Hair can costs between £30-£100 and the hairdo will still be terrible. Even those that learnt how to make hair on YouTube and are not very competent will charge you a lot. To change a lock after misplacing your key will cost you from £30 upwards.
Also, if you can, get international driver's licence before you leave Nigeria. In addition, bring along your Nigeria Driver's licence. I heard, for some provinces, you might be able to get away with some driving test stages if you can prove you have been driving for some years. |

Hello Mbogi, Can u kindly let us know where you got the info about cancelling TFW? Is it from a reliable source? Thank you! Mbogi: The issue is that they are short staffed for temporary work permit, the government is concentrating on PR, I even heard that they want to cancel TFW altogether, I will advise everyone to try and get into express entry pool because the points are reducing with full force. |
Travel › Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by VEIL1234: 6:12pm On Mar 04, 2017 |
Hi Mbogi, I submitted my original passport along with that of my kids via paper route. When my husband applied for his study permit that was also what he did. You will be asked to come pick up your passport when a decision is made. For those who applied online, they will request for their passports when a decision has been made. Mbogi: They don't have your passport until they have process your application.
What I'm saying is that paper application is the slowest application process that is why lawyers always advise to renew/extend work permit with paper application because it will take longer time to process and you are allowed to continue working until a decision is made. |
