Yes, they said they needed only original passports and any letter addressed to the embassy should be original. The other certificates I notarized the photocopies.

Hello house, I noticed that vfs didn't collect my original documents like marriage certificate, change of name etc is this the norm, they only accepted photocopies.

No I haven't tried again. I tried since last week wednesday the very day submitted and on sunday they said they didnt have my details yet.

@kc4all, I tried to link my app online yesterday but no app was found. Thats quite strange cos it's been over 1 month since I submitted. @Veil1234 have you linked yours? Anyways I had called vfsglobal before and they confirmed that my app is still under processing... they also confirmed my email address as correct, so i wonder why I didn't get acknowledgment email after submission... anyways fingers crossed.

@ Jumman, It's the same study permit form adults use. I will advise you try to fill it yourself before u arrive vfs if you haven't. I had challenges downloading it for my five year old daughter and casually worked into one of the biz centres and after filling it I was charged 5k. I talked and talked and eventually paid 3k.

Pls I need help, my hubby applied for me and my 5 year old daughter, open work permit for me and visit visa for my daughter but on getting to vfs I was told we were supposed to fill out open study for my daughter instead of the visit. Please how do I effect the change for her.

I paid 30k for 32 pages and applied since December. There's scarcity of booklets according to the officials.

But wait, must you print out your statement in PH? I thought It can be done from any of the bank's branch? Sorry on the passport stress it will end in praise amen!

@VEIL1234 you can link all application on line, but you have to link the three application separately online in the same account, I linked both my application and my daughter application online but kindly wait for 2 to 3 days after submission before linking, to allow your application updated in there system before linking.

Yes, but I noticed I got three seperate text messages with all our tracking numbers and three separate e-mails too. Just wondering. I tried to link mine yesterday but was told there was no info yet about me yet, so I figured it was because I just submmited. Mayb I will just wait till I can link and see what it has for me. Hi Dannylng, why is it taking this long any ideas? Do you have anyone helping you out? I did mine: change of name in Abuja and I waited three days!!!. You might need to talk to someone o! How long should the bank statements be from when you printed it to when you apply. I.e what is the recommended gap between when you actually printed it and when you apply?

The reason for this question is this; I printed my bank statement from ph and ttavelled to abj for my new passport but now I've been waiting for my new passport in Abj for more than a month. Should I go back ph to get new statement or wait because I was told it will be ready next week or at most week after next

I called and was told that for paper route, it is been processed in Lagos while for online then it's Ghana.

*You will just need to print his supporting documents and the letters should be signed by whoever is writing it.

Thanks a lot, I had to mail vfs today again and they said it's the same study permit form my husband filled I will fill for her but I will leave all the portions they ask for school details blank. Even though I was told she wouldn't need a schedule one form since she is 5, I intend to fill it all the same plus the study permit form and take when I am submitting. I guess they will let me know which one to drop on the D-day.

1. I'm not sure there is any document titled 'Open Work Permit'. What i know is that people apply for Visit Visa for their underage kids.

2. He can scan and email all original documents to you and you print out.

Please I am still preparing to send in my SOWP application by God's grace month end. My husband is in canada on study permit. So I was at Vfs today I got the following information:

1. That our 5 year old daughter should apply using an "open study permit form". I was asked to look for it on the website. I have searched and searched. I dont know if I am searching wrongly, anyone knows where I can get it?

2. I also hear I must submit original copies of any letter addressed to the embassy. Please the invitation letter from my husband and the letter his supervisor will write in support of our application can he scan it to us or he must post it to make sure its the original he is sending?

@VEIL1234 yes u do need a police character clearance certificate. Go to Alagbon for that. I did mine for 4k. Shouldn't take more than 2 hrs or less.
