OLAADEGBU:
I can only agree with you that traditional religion is fake but God is real. Do you know this God?
Do I know this God? Yes! He is me in the flesh and I Him by His breathe. Why would God put His breathe in man other than to have His Spirit replicated here on earth. But my point is, the way to Him lies in individuals, not religion. Find your way to activate His Spirit that's gone dormant in you and you'll see Him.
Know ye not that ye are Gods?

I dunno why im reluctant to do this. Mean I have helped lots of people on nl reach the light, but I feel you just want to waste my time with your chitchat.
In addition to my earlier response to your doubt about me, please reconsider with this: My name is belldartop (nickname). A male Nigerian aged 37yrs and resident in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital. I'm a government worker.
I was born a Christian and was a devoted one till year 2015 March when I gratefully stumbled on a novel, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Though a novel, certain facts therein led me to further my research on the religion I could give my life to. I started asking myself "to what end is CHRISTIANITY because nothing really happens. We only pay tithes and offerings and the so called GOs junkets around the world in opulence and extravagance; the likes that even the so called holy book proscribes. I discovered I'd been living a life I was preconditioned from womb to live. This got me enraged.
However enraged I am or could be however, it doesn't change the fact that I need a remedy. There's every need to realign my life in the way of inner awakening and consciousness of my godliness. This all I found in your nairaland posts. To this end, I need help.
My 36yrs as a christian produced nothing but poverty, inferiority complex and self denials among other ills white man god fostered on me.
I want a change. Please direct me. Help me and guide me.
Thank you.

As is to be expected, I'm more than sure that piece like this won't make front page. Instead, MODS, aside placing people on ban, perpetuates, in many instances, the consciousness of hate, rivalry and propaganda in the subconscious mind of gullible Nairalanders and by extension, Nigerians.
Time to call a spade what it really is. No more propaganda on nairaland. Help Nigerians to know the truth that can only set them free from ignorance, blind servitude, propaganda and hopelessness.
@Seun, take note.
PoliticsFayose's Empty Stomach Infrastructure! By Tope Michael by Vello(op): 10:07am On Jan 01, 2017
As usual, Governor Ayo Fayose has condemned President Mohammadu Buhari for the rate of hunger in the land including Ekiti state. Does this guy think at all before blaming President Buhari for the problems that other governors are solving? Ekiti state was once a proud producer of Igbemo Rice. Incidentally, Igbemo Ekiti is the next town to Fayose's village, Afao Ekiti. So he should tell Nigerians why his government of stomach infrastructure has failed to revitalize the Igbemo rice factory which was once a pride of the Ekiti people.

Has the governor of Ebonyi state not increased rice production to the extent that the state is selling rice to other states right now? Is the lousy governor of Ekiti state not aware that the government of Governor Akin Ambode of Lagos State decided to partner with Governor Bagudu of Kebbi state for the production of rice? Is Mr. Fayose not aware that the partnership has created opportunities for Lagosians to buy a bag of rice in Lagos at N12,000 while it is sold at N20,000 in Fayose's land of empty stomach infrastructure?

Incidentally, Mr. Fayose is one of the governors who have been campaigning for true federalism. Can we have true federalism when an agrarian state like Ekiti has to depend on the federal government to feed its people? Simply because Governor Fayose is bereft of ideas of good governance? In any case, if Mr. Fayose seriously wants the federal government to feed the Ekiti people let him refund the N2.5 billion traced to him through the ex-minister of defense, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro.

From that sum, the federal government can invest N1 billion in agriculture in Ekiti state.

Do I sound stressed to you? I'm certainly not! I don't belong to the class of some religious people who hate others and try to fight for their god. My God is not under any threat from you or anybody, He is God all by Himself, He doesn't need your approval of Him or your recognition of His sovereignty for Him to be God. What I feel is not stress, but great horror at the sight of what awaits you in eternity for the boldness to openly challenge the Almighty with the same brain and logical reasoning that He created and gave to you. One thing I know the devil for is the fact that he will use you and DUMP YOU! You are feeling cool with yourself because of the excess knowledge you think you have? Don't worry, God has seen and dealt with your type before, and your case is not new to Him. You will not be the first to deny Christ, and you will not be the last either, but like I said, by the time the devil is done using you and he feels he has no further need for your services, HE WILL DUMP YOU LIKE SHIT IS DUMPED IN A TOILET! By the time you find yourself after death in anguish and torment in hell and you see the same devil you are working for now being the one adding to your torment, you will swear and curse the day you denied Christ.

Like I said, I feel horror at what I know awaits you, not stress.
Can see you're truly stressing yourself.

Educating Reno Omokri By Lauretta Onochie

Some years ago, I met a wonderful Nigerian/Canadian man, who was not only an intellectual but has made a mark as an entrepreneur in Canada.

During one of our many discussions, he expressed delight that his personal friend, Barack Obama, had won the nomination to run as the President of the United States of America under the Democrats.

A few weeks later, my friend was very unhappy. The source of his unhappiness? He was eager to support his friend financially. But he was not an American citizen and so, was PROHIBITED by law, American law, from contributing to his friend, Obama's campaign funds.

So, I was mortified that Reno Omokri does not, in 2016, know this fact before embarking on fabricating a story about President Muhammadu Buhari part funding Mrs. Hilary Clinton's campaign with a whooping $500 Million! And under this economic hardship that Reno's paymasters bequeathed to Nigerians?

Reno Omokri obviously views America through the lens of PDP where even funds appropriated for developmental projects, ended up being used to fund elections. Even if the government of President Buhari has the funds to spare, which it doesn't, American laws have ensured that no American candidate would foolishly accept foreign donations.

There's quite a lot such a huge amount can do at this time of Nigeria's economic recession. The government is scraping together its scarce resources to meet its daily obligations to Nigerians and corporate bodies.

For example, It has since been revealed that Reno Omokri's masters failed to pay for fertilizers in 2014 and this debt was not reflected in their handover notes. Consequently, farmers yields depreciated in the 2015 farming seasons, giving rise to the "Hunger in the land." That obligation has now been met by this administration, the reason we are optimistic about a 2016 bumper harvest.

Again, Nigeria is now compelled to pay $5billion final settlement to Western Energy Companies (Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, Eni, Chevron and Total), a group of companies involved in crude oil exploration and production in a joint venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

As Exploration and production costs are split between NNPC and the Western Energy Companies, NNPC failed to pay its portion of the expenses between 2010 and 2015. Five years when Nigeria made more money from crude oil sale than any other period in the nation’s history. This has prompted the groups to hold back on vital investment to continue production activities in the oil fields.

Construction companies across the nation were made to lay off their workers and abandon their equipment for lack of due payments while funds appropriated for such were used as slush funds to buy Nigerians during the 2015 elections. This information was also lacking in their hand over notes. But these obligations have also been met, and construction companies are back on their beats.

Just as Reno has continued to lie through his teeth, the President Jonathan transition team was very economical with the state of the nation's economy and indebtedness. It took one of their own, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to inform a not-too-shocked nation that the economy had been down for three years before Pres. Buhari came along.

The Jonathan era was when the administration elevated corruption from the ordinary to the ridiculous. People like Reno Omokri sold lies for a living and has continued to do so. But Nigerians are sick and tired of the lies of the Jonathanian era. They know the truth. They won't swallow their lies anymore because they know it's corruption fighting back.

The more we try to forget these people who ruined our nation, the more they remind us of their ignoble deeds that brought our nation on its knees. It was therefore, a cheery piece of news when the Federal Government restored History, as a subject in our schools' curriculum. That means we can now freely discuss the sins of the past administration without being told to move on. It also means that our children can learn how Reno Omokri's masters squandered our commonwealth in selfish and ostentatious living.

How can we know where we are heading to if we do not relate to our past? How can we avoid repeating past mistakes if we bury the past and refuse to even talk about it? We will continue to confront and shame them with the facts and the truth.

When in 2015 some Nigerians invoked Isaiah 54:17 on President Buhari, those who ruined our nation thought it was a joke. Reno Omokri and his ignoble team are experiencing it today. Lies after lies, and they get exposed for the fraud they are.

American elections are funded with American Money. A simple question on google could have saved Reno Omokri this mockery and embarrassment. As usual, with all his lies, Reno has mud in his face. Always ask Google.

Christianity Etc6 Reasons You Need To Change Your Church by Vello(op): 12:36pm On Oct 28, 2016
When it comes to matters of religion, Nigerians are very touchy people. So it is almost impossible for the average Nigerian to see something wrong with their churches. However the truth remains that not all places of worship are good for the faith or will remain good for a Christian’s faith forever. The time will come when you will need to leave and move your search for God elsewhere. The question is, how do you know when it is that time? Note that the reasons below might vary from place to place, and the ultimate decision still lies with you. Having said that, here are some reasons you might consider:

1) Are your needs been met?
The point of going to church usually is to fill your spiritual needs. If however, you currently attend a church were that need is not being met, then it might be time to consider, making a change. The need for a supportive community of faith, the need to feel close to the God you serve and the need to feel you are doing something right are some of the many reasons people attend churches. If these needs aren’t met, then it is time for you to move on.

2) Church scandal. A scandal a day is one of the ways to describe some churches, and if this is true of the church you currently attend then it might be time to consider moving church. Before you move however, you should consider asking questions. Are the scandals, the work of detractors? Do they hold any water? If the answers you get are unsatisfactory, then you should consider leaving. A church should be something to be proud of, not one you have to constantly defend to outsiders for scandals.

3) Worship of man is another problem Whenever you notice that your church has moved from the worship of God to the worship of particular man of God or pastor, then it might be time to consider a move. It is possible that some churches and their founders are people who are power hungry. So instead of the worship of God, the worship may become focused on the man in charge of the church or its founder. You easily notice this in using the pastor’s name in prayer or worshiping him like he is God.

4) Offering in church Giving to a church or in support of it is something that should be done voluntarily. If the church however seems to drain you financially, or becomes more interested in what you give financially instead, then you need to reconsider your stay in it. Repeated passing of collection boxes, huge and continued emphasis on giving financially to the church is a sign that the church is shifting focus, and it might be the time for you to move your search for God.

5) Huge crowd worshiping in a church
It is possible that when you joined your present church, the numbers were few. Over the years, that church has probably grown in numbers. If there is no proper supervision by the church leaders, you might start to feel like a grain of sand at the beach, with no special feeling of connection. This might be another good reason to move on, because for many that feeling of belonging is important and it may be lost as the church grows in numbers, without proper supervision.

6) The book, Christians follow is the Holy Bible.
If the teachings in the church you currently attend differ from what the Bible teaches, then you might be in the wrong place. So do not just accept whatever anyone says. Do the research for yourself, and if there are differences, especially in the fundamental issues, then you should consider moving elsewhere.

My Lord, Please tell me where to keep your bribe?

Do I drop it in your venerable chambers

Or carry the heavy booty to your immaculate mansion

Shall I bury it in the capacious water tank

In your well laundered backyard

Or will it breathe better in the septic tank

Since money can deodorize the smelliest crime

Shall I haul it up the attic

Between the ceiling and your lofty roof

Or shall I conjure the walls to open up

And swallow this sudden bounty from your honest labour

Shall I give a billion to each of your paramours

The black, the light, the Fanta-yellow

They will surely know how to keep the loot

In places too remote for the sniffing dog

Or shall I use the particulars

Of your anonymous maidservants and manservants

With their names on overflowing bank accounts

While they famish like ownerless dogs

Shall I haul it all to your village

In the valley behind seven mountains

Where potholes swallow up the hugest jeep

And Penury leaves a scar on every house

My Lord

It will take the fastest machine

Many, many days to count this booty; and lucky bank bosses

May help themselves to a fraction of the loot

My Lord

Tell me where to keep your bribe?

My Lord

Tell me where to keep your bribe?

The “last hope of the common man”

Has become the last bastion of the criminally rich

A terrible plague bestrides the land

Besieged by rapacious judges and venal lawyers

Behind the antiquated wig

And the slavish glove

The penguin gown and the obfuscating jargon

Is a rot and riot whose stench is choking the land

Behind the rituals and roted rigmaroles

Old antics connive with new tricks

Behind the prim-and-proper costumes of masquerades

Corruption stands, naked, in its insolent impunity

For sale to the highest bidder

Interlocutory and perpetual injunctions

Opulent criminals shop for pliant judges

Protect the criminal, enshrine the crime

And Election Petition Tribunals

Ah, bless those goldmines and bottomless booties!

Scoundrel vote-riggers romp to electoral victory

All hail our buyable Bench and conniving Bar

A million dollars in Their Lordship’s bedroom

A million euros in the parlor closet

Countless naira beneath the kitchen sink

Our courts are fast running out of Ghana-must-go’s*

The “Temple of Justice”

Is broken in every brick

The roof is roundly perforated

By termites of graft

My Lord

Tell me where to keep your bribe?

Judges doze in the courtroom

Having spent all night, counting money and various “gifts”

And the Chief Justice looks on with tired eyes

As Corruption usurps his gavel.

Crime pays in this country

Corruption has its handsome rewards

Just one judgement sold to the richest bidder

Will catapult Judge & Lawyer to the Billionaires’ Club

The Law, they say, is an ass

Sometimes fast, sometimes slow

But the Law in Nigeria is a vulture

Fat on the cash-and-carry carrion of murdered Conscience

Won gb’ebi f’alare

They kill our trust in the common good

These Monsters of Mammon in their garish gowns

Unhappy the land

Where jobbers are judges

Where Impunity walks the streets

Like a large, invincible Demon

Come Sunday, they troop to the church

Friday, they mouth their mantra in pious mosques

But they pervert Justice all week long

And dig us deeper into the hellish hole

Nigeria is a huge corpse

With milling maggots on its wretched hulk

They prey every day, they prey every night

For the endless decomposition of our common soul

My Most Honourable Lord

Just tell me where to keep your bribe.

I can bet you, this ipob President and "AWA Oyel" loaded mentally derailed damaged cargo wasn't invited to inspire or motivate the students, rather he was invited to show his face. Face of failure! Face of the man who corrupted his country to the point of extinction! Face of the monkey that boasted that his administration has produced more millionaires by dashing his supporters and party members Nigeria's money from CBN coffers to buy private jets!

Showing those students who a leader should not be. Simple!
