Quite a major part of Nigerians are quite agnostic/atheists.

I guess the law prevents media houses from collating and calling results before the official announcements. Its a bottleneck that should be removed. They should be able to start calling LGA/states results once official voting has ended. They just shouldnt declare winner. Especially with INEC now uploading a very decent percentage of results on time

Unfortunately, thats likely not to be the case. As an excercise in curiosity, i collated the results for Igueben yesternite( first to be fully uploaded). Tye margin by which PDP worn is quite low. It shows that people have not yet learnt their lessons. The elections cycles are meant to provide feedback to parties and government but that wasnt the case.

I wont be surprised if APC wins. I saw some result sheets with almost 100% voter turn out. These were not in igueben though. I saw them on nairaland and i havent gone to irev to verify. But they look so cooked up. And i saw about two or three of such. With such tricks and people still voting APC, i guess they will declare APC winner today.

Hmm. The funny thing is that both Dangote and NNPCL are right. Dangote stated that they didnt sell at 898 because they sold in USD. Since USD is not a legal tender in nigeria, NNPCL simply translated the usd price to naira.

The key issue is that the fuel is circa $0.55 from dangote. NNPC can easily manipulate the price by using any exchange rate they like. E.G, closing rate for nafem is 1546.41. traditionally, CBN sell dollar at the lowest rate of the day to BDC. If NNPC had translated the cost above at 1546.41, the price would have being N850/l. If they used the lower band at N1500, price would have been N825. So the real price depends on which rate NNPC decides to use.

Nothing will change from october 1 if they sell to Dangote at a high USD/NGN rate. He'll simply multiply this same $0.55 by the exchange rate they sold him the crude and sell back to NNPC.

So if they improve exchange rate to N1000, fuel can sell at 600 since dangote rate will be N550.
In fact, if the rate had been the N460 as at when Buhari was leaving, this same 0.55 would have been N253.

In other words, we are all suffering from the naira devaluation.

Why are you always fixed on dollar comparism? Is dollar your national currency. The trade surplus is one of the gains of devaluation. Imports are becoming expensive. Therefore consumption for imported goods has to reduce. This creates opportunity for local production and job creation. Once we achieve a reasonable percentage in local production of petroleum products then the economy will turn the corner.

This ur format has been tested severally. Last admin closed the border on rice. How far is local rice production now?

By the way, dollar comparison is not required. You can translate both to naira at 2010/2020 constant prices. Result is the same

The truth is, people are so annoying that, if you take God and eternity out of the picture, there's no motivation for being what we call "good". Personally, I consider those things as good only because I believe God considers them good. Or, which other standard do you have for the 'goodness' and 'badness' of lifestyle outside God, Bible or Qur'an?

I actually will contest that good and evil/bad should be defined with religion. There are myriads of religions and various teachings in each. We've also seen teachings from both religion you mentioned that are abhorrent to current socially acceptable behaviour. Also what is good in one religion may be bad in another. In fact, what is good in one culture may be wrong elsewhere. Below are some issues that varies based on the religion or culture you are looking at it from.

1. Treatment of women
2. Polygamy
3. Child marriage
4. LGBTQ

So how do i personally define good or evil?

I simply ask myself some non religious questions:
1. Will my actions violate the established laws of my current land?
2. Will the rights of other individuals be violated by my actions?
3. Will my actions be unduly injurious to nature?
4. Does my action holds any benefit to me?

Those are part of my personal lenses. It will definitely not be compatible to most folks but i've long discarded trying to adhere to religion in determining what is good or bad. Recall that no religion can claim to be the ultimate right path. The adherents just have "faith" that they are.

On a lighter note, using my lenses, lets look at premarital sex.

1. Is it against the law: No
2. Will it violate the rights of others: No (if consensual)
3. Undue negative Impact on nature: not that i am aware of
4. Does it benefit me: yes.

So for my lenses say it is good, religion will say otherwise.

Each of the JVs in nigeria has governent shares which may vary usually between 55-70%. With the approval of the Seplat deal NNPC will hold 70% while Seplat holds the balance. This will be the highest holding by NNPC in a while.

What this means is that NNPC will fund 70% of the cost of the joint venture while seplat pays the rest. This include capex, opex and expex. This payment is made via a process called cash call. In return, NNPC will lift 70% of the crude produced by the JV and sell on its own as it so wishes.

Thats is why NNPC is able to use crude as collateral for loans because it lifts crude from various JVs.

Of course there is also the PSC arrangement which is totally different but make una read that one.
