ola_pluto: No. You're not a thoughtful person. Its not my fault that you cannot reason along. You probably havent done as much exams as I've done. Exams like JAMB cannot be generic. They need to be able to catch out even the most brilliant students. The questions may be presented as easy, but trust me, there's a catch in every question. Only the gifted will spot it. Those gifted ones get high marks. The ones who are not reasonable will not spot it and come out of exam hall making noise how easy the exam is. Even from this thread, many of you guys have shown very little understanding of simple lines of thoughts, talk-less of a JAMB paper set by experienced uni lecturers who specialise in picking out what students dont know.

very good... maybe you have never had a personal relationship with any of your teachers before... if not.. its cos of how you reason.. theres a reason why they are called teachers, its not just to teach, but to impact knowledge... so painful they are not recognised in this part of the world.... before a teacher can beat his chest for a student, which Is very common especially in secondary schools dis dayz, then he must have closed studied and monitored them. you dont know this teacher and you dont know his student! why insult d teacher by calling him unintelligent after making no sense or actually thinking like ur surposed to. depends on ur orientation tho

ola_pluto: Vouching for exam result is not within the teacher's duty. His duty is to teach and teach well. What happens when the student faces the question is between the student and the paper only! JAMB I know contains a lot of very tricky questions set to catch out unsuspecting students. How a teacher can vouch for a student shading the right answer is beyond me.

ur still not making sense... the candidates did not leave their question papers in d hall did they? I see no reason y a student will mark 1 tin on d question paper and then shade another on d o.m.r bro the truth be told... a teacher that is close to a student am not talking about d classroom relationship, will know the students strenght even better than the parents

I cousin scored below dis cut-off marks and is presently studying law @ uniben. People lay much emphasis on their last year's score, who knws, most of them cheated and got away wit it, but were apprehended dis year. My sis was lucky to get away wit hers last year by being admitted wit anoda runsing @ unizik

ola_pluto: I do not know your qualifications as a teacher, but I think it is rather unintelligent to vouch for a student you didnt sit the exam with. No teacher does that! No sensible teacher at least. I passed through a university where integrity is guarded. I had times I left exam hall waiting for a 90% only to see 55%. When I ask for the photocopy of my scripts and go through it, I see tiny, silly mistakes which have caused me to be marked down.
A teacher like you should be at the forefront of guiding students to start preparing for next year Jamb. You will be heavily humiliated if you keep vouching for students this way. You're probably one of those thinly breaded teachers responsible for this mass failure.

What happens ds days is get engaged with social networks, go thru past questions in split seconds, then start fasting and prayer 3 days b4 exams. My frnds, there is nothing like little effort and big success. Only fools run away with that mentality. Its very unfortunate that this yr's result was poor,but kids of today are in trouble.

nope no point.... no matter the turnout of candidates, nigeria is rich enuf to provide enuf room for schooling, how then do we beat our chest that we have actualy tried our best for the coming generation... if not for private secondary schools, nigerias illiteracy height would be higher than it is right now.... samething goes to the tetiary institution... it is cos of the introduction of private universities that we naw have graduates of 18yrs.... money rules d world... Most of d people who claim they've read like hell, have done little compared to what is needed to soar high in d examination. To prove dat jamb isn't a child's plays, look @ d prescribed textbooks by jamb and see if u know anybody dat has @ least, half of them. Almost all d books r A'level and higher institution textbooks, and questions to be set will be taken from all of them, xpectially technical questions. Most people rely on past question. I'm sorry who whoever uses it without making research to confirm d correctness of d answers. Even d past questions sold @ jamb offices, r also questionable. Probably, dey don't give 1 or 2 correct answers to give room 4 even more study and judgment. I hope someone will gain frm dis msgs and see things frm anoda context besides their own, even more importantly, to be be a better student.

Kizyte: This years massive JAMB failure was as a result of exam malpractices. Students shaded answers that were sent to them on their various mobile devices and or papers without crosschecking them to make sure they're correct.

Though most answers sent to the students were correct but because the JAMB board already knew about the leakage, they decided to secretly have different paper types in one paper type. e.g. Paper type 'I' correct answer is option A". Another paper type 'I' correct answer falls on D" thereby misleading the students into shading wrong answers.

IF YOU WERE THE ONE, how would you know there were two or three paper type 'I' or two paper type 'D?

MY ADVICE TO STUDENTS: Write any exam all by yourself, and do not rely on exam malpractice. You can do better! You would have scored higher if you wrote without malpractice!

NB: This disclosure is as a result of my analysis. You can make further analysis and share the result on this thread.

stop all this foolish and baseless assertion that I poo ur talking about is the error that caused d mass failure cos they obviously had a different data on their database and marked everybodys type I with wat they have nd not wat d candidates had

avalontony: JAMB JAMB JAMB!!!!!!.....those of u that think that you were no awarded ur correct scores, pls pick the question papers and go over them again. In Jamb questions u have related answers, that if u make a mistake in ur solving u will arrive at an answer which will make u think u got d right answer. Computer hardly make mistakes, dont think black answer sheet has never been graded by computer......they have test runned all this before, its not d first time jamb is conducting exam. I know how it feels to get a low score in jamb............. U can always try again.....this is not the end!!!!

see this guy oo... computers dont make mistakes? so thats ehy they should mark over 1.6 million scrits in less than a week and with levity... its no news that on the 27th of april after d exam was conducted the education minister cried out about the limited number of space available in the nations institution, your point is not needed here cos you have absolutely no point atall everybody canot be lying at once... everyone cannot be dull at once....

let me point out sometging to you guys. Before the results came out there was this rumour all over the internet that jamb has deviced a means to finnaly cob examination malpractice, and examples whr given some said jamb stored the types each candidates whr given and will mark them according to that so any candidate that shades another type will get an unexpected score. Fine! but still some whr jubilating and some whr vibrating... they also pointed out that those that copied, your type a is totally diferent frm your partners own, etc now surposedly this is actually true, then this result shouldnt be out by now, and if its not then jamb made a serious and very unremarkable mistake in the question papers that will most likely cost most jambites another year, waiting to purchase another jamb form next year again. The reason am saying its a mistake is I see no reason why jamb will set the same question for each type but different options.... I say this is an error in the question papers that jamb did not verify before the exam day which means that while most jambites thought tgey whr answering a particular type of question, in the real sense , because of the error on jamb database, they could hav bn answering another type entirely... dosnt the educational sector have a complaint board? who do we run to at times like this? answers and observations please.

are you serious? what number do you have in mind when you say few? we are been exploited here and you are talking about thrash and social networks.... it has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.... speak for urself or dont speak atall..... if jamb know that the spaces available in the in the institutions are limited, the forms should also be limited how can you sell 1.7 million forms when you only have 500k spaces? it makes absolutely no sense. this has gone on for a very long tym nd I must say if nothing is done it will continue, even our so called institutions are following the same footsteps... you know u can only admit 7000 students and then you sell 100k post utme forms... ths is just bad...
