We are good! No doubt. But where lies danger is overwhelming the health sector... testing seems very slow, with steady increase in number of active cases on a daily basis. Lockdown will most likely be extended. Politicians will do what they’re good at(looting). Citizens are crying hunger... are we actually ready?

Soyinka has remained a strong voice against any form of repression by successive Nigerian governments. He was in the forefront of the fight for Nigeria's independence from Great Britain. In 1967, he got arrested and put in solitary confinement for 2 years during the civil war.

In 1965, he seized the WNBS studio to demand for the cancellation of the Western Nigeria Regional Elections, which was riddled with malpractices, and a sham.
