And I believe Ycee has offered us a lot; and i'll put all my money that he wins it.

ABEOKUTA — Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command, said weekend, that it had arrested about 82 candidates of the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, in the state for alleged involvment in examination malpractices.
The exam, held last Saturday in about 108 centres across the state, however, recorded no violence. State Corps Commandant, Aboluwoye Akinwande, in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Kareem Olanrewaju, said the candidates were arrested from different centres across the state for cutting corners during the examination.

Akinwande said, 30 candidates were arrested in various centres in Abeokuta, nine in Ewekoro local government, while others were arrested at Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU centre, and Molusi College in Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the state.
“Some of them were caught using their phones while others were in possession of prohibited materials like books, palm tops, Scientific calculators among others. The Corps will take appropriate action on the candidates caught cheating.''
''The first thing is that they have been made to fill relevant forms. Investigation will be conducted, that will determine their culpability and then we can decide
on their trial. Necessary information about them have been collected.'' Apart from the arrest, no violence was recorded in any of the 108 examination centres. The large number of arrest recorded was as a result of effective coverage by Civil Defence. They were taken by surprise as they thought it was business as usual.
“The Corps will continue to do its best at all time to ensure examination malpractices are reduced to the minimum if not eradicated. We will continue to appreciate the support of candidates, parents and other
stakeholders,” the Corps Commander said.

The Nigerian Entertainment Conference held over the weekend at the Grand ball room of the Eko Hotel and suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was nearly marred by violent exchange of words between Kennis Music Boss Mr. Kenny Ogungbe and Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria COSON, Chief Tony Okoroji.
Chief Tony Okoroji had confronted Kenny Ogungbe in the presence of journalists for daring to say in public that COSON owed him (Kenny Ogungbe) money.
“How could he say such a thing? And in public?” Chief Okorogie fumed.

The incident happened immediately after the first session of the conference where Mr. Kenny Ogungbe had been amongst a panel of discussants along side Cool DJ Jimmy Jat, Sound Sultan, MI and Weird MC during which pertinent industry issues had been raised.
The panel before taking questions from participants discussed “Looking at the music scene through the eyes of talents, labels, investors, consumers, regulatory
bodies. The role of an artiste in the digital age and lastly, surviving in a peculiar industry like Nigeria.
However Weird MC in her opening had raised questions on the “exploitation of our works”. She noted that the music
industry is no longer about just
entertainment but a business that
should be accounted for. She claimed that music properties of artistes were being exploited with no form of payments made as settlements.
Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) is Nigeria’s sole government approved collective management organization for
musical works and sound recordings.
Weird MC specifically asked the society if they had any kind of international affiliations with international music copyright regulatory bodies to help check the exploitation of works put out
by Nigerian artistes. According to her “We need to address the International Affiliations involved, cause this is a business.
Kenny Ogungbe had stepped out after the panel to re-emphasis these statements made by Weird MC to reporters before making the comments that infuriated Chief Okoroji.
After the heated argument, both were too angry to speak further on the testy issue.

It seems that this Terrible Network keeps getting worse by the Minute. I was so frustrated today by their poor service. Although my phone was in 3G mode and I couldn't make a single call without making abt 10 attempts to call just 1 number, and even when it connected the call just kept breaking.
I couldn't even access the Internet with my phone, I had to wait till i got back from work to browse with my Laptop. Something needs to be done about this MTN Network. They were the 1st to begin the 'Porting' advert as if their Network was even good.

The management of DANA Airline on Friday said that it had introduced mobile check-in device for passengers, which was first of its kind in the aviation industry in Nigeria.
Mr Obi Mbanuzuo, Head of Commercial of the airline, disclosed this in Lagos. He said that the new device could issue
boarding passes to passengers before they reach the check-in counter.
With this recent launch, DANA has become the first airline in Nigeria to use this solution.
''We will continue to use technology to enhance the flying experience of our passengers by simplifying air travel and
saving valuable time, '' he said.
The Commercial Head said that the initiative complemented the airline’s existing check-in counters and online check-in service.
''With this solution, our mobile check-in agents can quickly access and verify the travel reservation details of passengers, book them on their choice of seats and
generate boarding passes.''
''Now, passengers with hand baggage need not wait at the check-in counter to collect
their boarding pass.''
''They can simply approach any of our easily recognisable mobile check-in agents on arrival at the airport, and then proceed through airport security to the boarding
gate,'' he said.
Mbanuzuo said that airlines all over the world were constantly innovating processes to speed up check-in for their passengers,
which DANA would also build into its operations.
''The check-in facilitated by the roving agent, is the latest concept for a speedy check-in for the jet-setting passenger,'' he said.
NAN recalls that the airline currently operates 10 daily flights on the Lagos-Abuja-Lagos route, and has just re-launched daily
flight services to Port Harcourt from Lagos and Abuja.
