This is a combination of skype and Whatsapp/BBM.

And it is native to android, (just like BBM is native to blackberry and iMessage/Facetime is to iphones/ipods)

It's a matter of time before Hangouts blow away every other messaging app on android devices.

Dont also forget the fact that you can continue your chat on on your computer, no other IM has this.

And this app is from The Great Google, the company that gave us android. Hangouts is bound to succeed, as long as android remains successful
