Around 11am on Friday I decided to wash since it has stopped raining. While walking to the bathroom I felt water gushing out of me. I just stood there wondering if am urinating abi my water just broke. My SIL said I should go to the hospital but I told her it was probably urine that I wasn't feeling any pain nor contractions. I sha decided to go after my second SIL called me. I jejely took my time to brush and bath. while at it my SIL kept on calling urging me to hurry up ( I was like Wetin dey worry this woman abi na she wan go born the pikin). I got dressed and decided to trek instead of entering bus since it was just 20mins walk from my house. After explaining to doctor, He put his hand into my something and brought out some reddish discharge saying I shouldn't wait for any bloody show that he took it out already. He sent my file to Labour ward saying I should call home for my bag( Labour ward keh? ) While the nurse was admitting me I told her I want to go home but she assured me that I was in Labour. She inserted the hot drip and asked me to lay with my side. SIL came with my bag then she said I shouldn't scream nor cry o unless I want to cry in each of my delivery. I was admitted by 2pm, after about an hour Na so contration start ooo hmmm it wasn't funny but I kept bearing it until I couldn't anymore. I told the nurse to call my husband for me o( I wanted him to see what I was passing through) She told me to call on God instead that my husband cannot do anything for me. if only she knew that all thru the process that I've been begging God to make it easy for me. I sha left the nurse alone while concentrating on my pains. I asked a lady I met in the ward if this is how painful Labour is but she said she don't know that she's also a FTM. The contractions started coming a min apart and I felt the urge to poo. I started shouting nurse come o I want to shit o, I want to piss o in fact I don't know the one I want to do o. she check me and said she feels the baby head, called the doctor while she took me to the delivery bed. Doctor came and told me how to push. I pushed with all my strength but he said I was just making noise not pushing. That I shouldn't make any sound but push. After the 3rd Push I felt my baby slipped out then plancenta followed. I was asked to bath while they cleaned up my baby.

It was a painfully beautiful experience because immediately my baby came, the pains vanished and I felt nothing but joy

My prayers are with all our GTC mothers . The God who made me a mother will visit you soon

Liftedhands:
Overweight and multiple carriers need more folic acid! Do you fall under any of the above? If not I'd suggest you ask for another blood booster that doesn't contain folic acid and get a folic acid tab separately to avoid overdose.

Cat fish is safe just don't use uda to cook it and try not to buy cos most of them lie just to make sale or don't understand how dangerous it is to a pregnant woman ( except few with fear of God will tell you the truth about using uda or not)

Some chemicals in relaxer ,hair and body cream sips into the blood stream and automatically gets to your baby, to be safe wait till you've gone past the formative weeks say third trimester! Before applying relaxer.
However if you must due to unmanageable hair! Please ensure they put a seat outside for you where there is enough ventilation and don't let it sit on your scalp for long.

My advice will be get a braid done instead that way you won't have need to comb or wear an undergrowth filled hair till it's safe to use relaxer.

B.S.:-
6pm - got to hospital.
7pm - was given bedspace.
2am - procedure started (drug inserted).
6am - was feeling normal contraction (3cm).
8am - contraction was serious but I was calm and just calling Jesus once it hit. Doctor thought I was still 3cm because I wasn't showing sign of serious contraction and was advising me on other options (cs) if I don't progress till 12noon. I told her to check that am sure I have progressed and after she checked I was taken to delivery room (6cm).
9am - oxytocin was added to my drip and the contraction was intense and I started the breathing technique which really helped me (7cm).
10:25am - my beautiful baby girl arrived weighing 2.75kg with generous cut (according to the doctor that stitched)

2. You can prepare the cat fish pepper soup yourself and don't add all does pepper soup spices cos i heard it is not good for early pregnancy and it is better to be safe then sorry.
3. I think you can relax your hair cos it is once in a while thing na.

1. No genuine idea. I think I read somewhere that the body will just take what is required and excrete the rest.
2. Cat fish is safe. Just make sure you don't prepare it with those random peppersoup spice that they give women in labour. Reduce pepper too. You dont need anything that will make you purge.
3. Relaxing your hair doesnt affect baby in anyway. Go ahead

Good morning to u all congratulations to all mamas that av given birth and safe delivery to all the wadding mamas.
pls I av some questions to ask
I was admitted 3 weeks ago due to cramping at 10 weeks and several test was carried out everything came out fine my PVC then was 35% I was discharged and prescribed some drugs including ferobin plus to be used once daily so yesterday I went for my first antenatal class my PVC was 33% the doc said I should increase the ferobin plus to twice daily I.e 1 in d morning and 1 at night to boost my PVC level.

1.My question now is that one ferobin plus capsule contains 5mg of folic acid so if I use it twice daily hope the folic acid daily dosage will not be too much?

2. I av been craving cat fish pepper soup for long is it safe for me to eat it?

3. Can I relax my hair at 14 weeks pregnant?

It wasn't an easy jouney after 6 years of waiting on d lord and also had miscarriage last year at 2 months and that was supposed to be my first baby and i know God has other plans for me and I I know my heavenly father has signed this baby im carrying. I will carry till full term in Jesus name Amen. We shall all carry till full term and our baby will come out strong and healthy and we will deliver like Hebrew women. I told her I can't push with contraction let it stop a bit but she beat me anyway. When it stopped a bit I tried pushing but I was not holding my legs cos I don't feel co.fortable with it. I spread my leg n tried holding one leg n gave it d push of my life qith 2 pushes baby came out. I begged a doctor around to do me fondant pressing but she refused n said madam push ur baby. DAT labour room experience is not here.by 6pm I birthed my lo n around 7am d next day we were discharged n in all I give God d glory.
NB. The zobo drink may not be what induced d labour o . I didn't see show neither did my water broke. Unlike my 1st dat blood was coming out truout labour

Just follow your doctor's instruction.

Some fibriods degenerate with time- this will cause you more pain but baby will be fine.
