Exactly what I thought. Like you said, I'm quite sure the boy wasnt in control of flying the plane.
The only reason this became a problem was probably cos of the breach in policy vs the cameras. Which could be a big problem for the Air brand. Hence, the "Suspension" to fulfil all righteousness.
But you know the Media na. They'd use the phrase "10 year old fly a plane" just to sell.

And yea, Birds leading to Engine failures most of the time, are one of the major causes of Air disaster.

I remember how a friend's PC was used as a bot for months and wasn't aware.

These things happen. The safest of the safest can still be caught off guard.

Just to add:
Especially with IOT devices gaining grounds. Trust me, your PC being hacked is the least of worries.
Appliances, Cameras, electronic devices, cars et al are being hacked by these black hat guys and turned into bots to cause series of distributed cyber attacks. DDOS and the rest. An example was the DDOS attack on Krebs, Dyn and Ovh last year.
So even though you are not directly affected, your devices can serve as a bot for attackers, to cause pain to others and their businesses.
