I feel the need to organize raising money for this young man, whose news was posted about a week ago. Please note that I don't know this Family from anywhere.

I have mentioned the OP of the initial thread, to seek verification before making any donation, however, I did not get any response. I assume, he doesn't have any information as well.

Please is there anyone in Uyo, willing to work with me and other Verifiable Nairalanders to assist this young man?

The first step now is to verify that this is real and obtain supporting documents. Is there anyone in Uyo, willing to assist in verifying this, please?

I applied to the one at Abuja. Their Corporate office.
I had an aptitude test, it wasnt all that difficult though. However, their means of shortlisting was quite high. Cos I could remember not less than 100 people wrote the exam, and in the end, they chose 8 or 10 of us. It was a very good experience. And if you can, try to get in.
Dont be discouraged, If you are around Abuja, try to visit there and submit your SIWES Letter, or an application letter in advance. So they can keep you in mind pending when they are taking people again. I believe they already took in Students for this period. Cos its usually March to August. But you should try and check it out.
Truth is, most contacts I knew there already left, and some are either outside the country or other places. Including my immediate boss. So there's no one I can reach out to ATM.

Try to go there, you can route back to me, to let me know sup. Then whatever it is, I can also try to contact one of my friend whom we had the SIWES together, maybe he has contact with anyone still there.

blind&deaf dogs...hahahahaha....bingos with their wahala. well I grew up with goats(usual suspects apart from dogs),sheep(don't expect me 2 say cows next) then some rabbits, Guinea pigs and white mice. for the birds, chickens, another household name, and pigeons. some reptiles like snakes came around uninvited but they never went back. hope am not missing any?by d way,which category do we put snails?

Yea, actually busy, plus I'm a mixture of both. There are times when I prefer to read certain books, and there are times when I'd prefer to just watch it. But reading does it faster for me, than watching. Besides, I can always read on the move.

Hahahahahaha. I can so relate. I used to have a dog with that exact description. As much as I love that dog so much, it was so dirty. Whenever the gate is opened, it threatens to bite you and then runs out of the gate. Only to come back 30 minutes after with body filled with poo. At times it will come back with a dead chicken in it's mouth. The entire Compound will begin to smell. Ewwwww! And when you dont open the gate, it begins to cry and disturb the entire neighbourhood. My mum got fed up of it and had to give it out.
Now that I think of it, I've had series of dogs in this life sha. Lovely dogs. I've had the blind, the deaf. Their mum gave birth to about 5 of them in her old age. And 1 was blind, the other was deaf. I couldnt hold back my tears when the blind one died. That was the moment I understood the Yoruba adage "se eranko, se eniyan"

from what you've said so far, I don't think you should be into series. They have lots of suspense and drama. you need 2 b real patient. GOT is in a Special class of itz own, it contains every single genre. as for suits, it's also very interesting. stopping at episode 2 means you didn't know d value of wat you wer watching.

Of course, You're right! It wasn't valuable to me. Which is fine! But I guess it was valuable to others.

Didn't get past the first season of Fringe too. Something about abnormalities and all. But it's good. And then I saw someone mention Designated Survivor. It's good too. Its still Jack innit as the major character. I can't wait for Season 2 of it. If you haven't already, do check it out too.

Oh cool! I'll see a preview for that too. Yeah, Designated Survivor is one series I've been patient enough for the season 1 to end. I should begin watching it before the season 2 comes out in Fall.
