Thanks for checking master. May God continue to be with you. Amen. wasseynewest: Salute to every member in here that has been making the thread stand out as always. Una boy "wasseynewest" apologise for his absence all along guys.
Like we all know, Canada na "Pay as you go " so man has really been trying to integrate. But rest assured, in my own little way with my indefatigable co-tutors, we continuing with our IELTS gospel and thank God that for every IELTS results released, we do have sizeable numbers of our TAKERS crossing the greatest hurdle & making the cut.
If anyone is still in doubt whether this journey is worth fighting for, I bet you it's gonna be a decision you will never ever regret if you hang on till the end. In fact, your offspring will be 4ever indebted to you.
In the few months(just 3) wey man don enter here, my brain has been formatted so tey whenever I do video call with my people back home and see some things like Pure Water & Bad Roads, I'm always like, oh! So I've passed through this before . As funny as it sounds my people, that's the pure truth guys. It was a matter of Writing IELTS 123456789&10 btw myself and wifey but finally, here we are starting afresh and enjoying our new lives in Canada.
Our boys are first to integrate, we know how kids can be na while Wifey, a Chemistry grad. who was unable to get a #1 job in Naija is now gainfully employed. Me too ? Doing just fine with an establishment that pays way better (and less stressful) than what I used to earn back home.
So guys, no matter the challenge you facing right now, I tell you giving up on this dream should be your last option.
No Pain, No Gain...........#Bemotivatedguys

Noo, you dont need any contact at Unilag records office. Mine was done without any contact, I only sent mail when it seems they were slow with the verification response and they replied me the next day that the mail had been sent a day before my mail was received. So I will advise you send a mail too. Lynchokkles: They sent verification as at 18th June.... but I was told email verification can be done if you have a contact at records though |

If you processed your transcript online, send them mail. They will reply you and tell you if the mail has been sent or not. Although WES too can take time to update, but it is better to confirm from Lag before accusing the man. Lynchokkles: Good evening, please this is quite urgent. I got a contact from unilag for WES transcript verification via email, so after paying the guy, he told me he has already sent it to WES, after 48hrs I got no update regarding to the verification response from the institution. So I called WES to let them know, but was told no mail received from my institution. So I told the man it has not yet received, he said sotry he didn't tell me, that all emails sento on that day were bounced, I felt bad though but still composed myself. He said it will be resent, I disturbed him all through for 2 days to make sure it has been sent. He said to me yesterday that WES will update me soonest. After taking some chill pills all through yesterday and today, no nothing. I called him back, and he is saying i have to be patient that WES takes 15 working days to update after receiving all verification from unilag... now I knew he is just playing me. Please guys, those that did verification from unilag, does it take that long as the man claimed?... Please if not, I urgently need a reliable contact to help me with email verification. Thanks as I await replies |

Congrats, thank God for safe trip. We are inspired not to give up. Ifeoma77: Settling in My original plan was to spend a couple of weeks in the US with family and then do a road trip into Canada but OVO had other plans. So instead, my people came to Toronto and I've been enjoying myself since. With a US driver's license, you can rent a car in Canada, so that's what we did. We've taken long drives to most of the cities in the GTA and beyond. Stopping at random places of interest, eating great food and just decompressing. I opened checking and savings accounts with TD Bank and got a credit card with 2k limit. Free unlimited banking for six months. Got a virgin line, 4gigs, LTE with phone at $55/month.

My dear I've called all the callables, gotten same response since March, eligibility met, security and criminality not yet started. Mailed Ralph, the person who responded was talking about replying to constituents blah blah, mailed one other guy like that, no response. The agent on my last call said she was going to send a note to the officer processing my file or something, I think she did cos I got one generic 'your file is currently in line for review' but we can't be bothered right now mail. Nothing person fit do again. I can't come and go and kill myself.

Congrats. Narkoya: Ladies and Gents... come ohhh! Application has been approved.
Decision to leave Nigeria- since forever. After my MSc in the uk, I came home intending to go back for a PhD. Unfortunately, my mum fell Ill and died. Phd dream had to take a back seat so I could care for my siblings. Eventually got a great job and kept travelling as much as I could. One day, heard about canada ee and decided to try it out. Before I could say Jack Robinson, I met, fell in love and married the most patriotic Nigerian on earth. Started trying to get him to agree to EE... Eventually, he agreed cos he wanted me to be happy. Meanwhile, I started my WES behind his back
IELTS: My husband kept dragging his feet until BC increased their fees to 75k lol. We wrote in june 2018 and the man who didnt want to write IELTS had 8.5/8.5/8/8 while I had 8 in all except writing - 6.5. I was devastated. Immediately registered for another exam, even though I was advised to do an EOR. Wrote my second IELTS and had 8.5 in all but writing.... 6.5 again! I no gree oh. EOR straight! Score increased to 7.5. Next hurdle medicals.
MEDICALS: I had paid for a vacation to us so couldn't get a favourable date at both children's practice and Q life. Meanwhile, I, the PA, turned 30 so we lost a few points. Didnt want to do medicals in the us incase I needed a repeat. Eventually completed medicals at IOM in November 2018. Meanwhile, ITA was received in October. |
