Imuetic: Hello viscope, at this stage of the application, you would not need academic referee's attestation. And for your transcripts, you have to address to the postgraduate school and not the department. okay? avicky: Sorry about d loss. Though d referee stuff is not indicated in d form, what u just need is ur cert/statement of result and transcript. So while in maiduguri to get a replacement of ur cert, u can apply for ur transcript too. avicky: Like I said before, there is no need for referree attestation. I know some schls like LASU do ask for it.Thanks so much friends! A special tanx to @avicky for ur precision in answering my questions. Ur answers were really helpful! However, I would love to know if the 17th deadline u mentioned is in July and not June. Though I can't tell if Maiduguri is totally safe at the moment but I plan to leave for Maiduguri on Monday next week, so that before the end of next week, I could be back in Lag to submit all necessary documents @ the dept and also sent my transcript to the PG school. Thanks once again, God bless! |
Basically, what I'm trying to inquire is if there would be need for academic referee's attestation at any point of this initial application. Also, I'll love to know if academic transcripts are to be addressed and sent to the department in which one is applying to or to the school of postgraduate studies. PLS. I NEED ANSWERS ASAP as I would not be able to communicate with Nairalanders or anyone once I arrive in Maiduguri due to network shutdown. Thanks once again |
avicky: Yes, u must upload ur Nysc cert either discharged or exempted.Pls I will like to know if after completing the online registeration, there is anything like referees attestation form to be printed out. I av paid the application fees and filled the necessary information online including my picture. I even printed out the acknowledgement slip. However, I am unable to continue with the registeration because I lost the original copy of my university statement of result on transit, so I can't scan it as requested. I hope to travel to University of Maiduguri (my alma-mata) this week in order to get either a replacement of the statement or my original certificate. Hence, my reason for wanting to know if there will be need for referee's attestation, so that I can do that too in Maiduguri before coming to submit in Unilag. Thanks! |
I wish there was a contestant that has Vanneni's height, GraceBestowed's eyes, SleekChic's bust, Adaobi's lips, Nikkyshyne's dentition, Nadia's skin & swag, Graisel's face and Lupey's hips ![]() I would have ordered all my Family and Friends to vote for HER! ![]() |
berryoflife: click on M.sc Zoology, u'll find it dere. Thanks Berry! *sigh of relief* |
Please, can anyone provide useful information on whether or not Unilag will be admitting for MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Control? I can't seem to find it among the list of available courses for the 2013/2014 academic year. Please someone should advise me! |
Iamoilprince: Wen the form is out, I will hook u up wit all u need.Hi bro, I'm also waiting to apply for the MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management. I would also like to be a part of any study group or share study materials. I reside in Abuja. Pls send me an email on vicope007@yahoo.com |

@OP, I understand U.......I am also affected! When I discovered this attitude in me, I decided to set a standard for myself, by dating only very beautiful, intelligent and attractive ladies, it still didn't work because I continued to get fed up with the relationships. In few of the relationships, I avoided sexx like a plague when I became scared it was the reason why i got fed up quickly, yet nothing changed. The craziest part is that even when they try to impress me by helping out with house chores, laundries or cooking, it still doesn't change anything! I am Taurus and not Gemini.....so I doubt if zodiac horoscopes has anything to do with it. I once sought the advice of a friend who is a professional psychologist, yet despite heeding to most of the advice he gave me, everything remained the same. I had stop dating for a long time now and all I do is flirt with those who are interested in just flirting! However, everyday that I wake, I can't stop thinking about how much I desire to have that someone that will be so special in my life. Sometimes, I just pray that I'll be able to overcome this in marriage, because I usually imagine if I'll ever meet any woman that will fascinate me all my life without me getting fed up for a minute. I know for sure that I am not scared of commitment and I know that though I was jilted once, that isn't the reason for my attitude because I do not even hold any grudge against my ex who jilted me neither do I use that as a reason to hurt others. I really just don't know what's wrong. I believe it should be a mental condition and I am very willing to find out more about it. |
Amaaskia: Its your ANCESTORS and YOU that is worthless, not me. Pathetic man with a sad life, looking for who to drag into that sadness... Unemployed he goat! No go find work o, dey NL dey follow me talk... I'm a graduate with a masters and a wonderful job, I'm independent and working hard to accomplish my goals... Hating me for being confident in myself and my abilities, only shows how completely empty and worthless you are.. Nuisance! *spits* |
Ijeoma Okeke100: OP you are cursed and when you decide to get married your wife is going to sleep with your best friend everyday until you decide to comi suicideU sound like one of those fake prophetess in Ibafo! ![]() |

please when will the 2013/2014 PG form for unilag be out for purchase |
bibu: . Please what is the duration of M.sc. Environ. Mgt in Nsukka?Master’s degree (Regular) – 12 months for full-time and 3 Semesters for part-time. But please NOTE that entry for 2013/2014 programme ended on April 1st 2013. |
Eeeeemmm.........meanwhile, give me the babe's number, so I can inquire and confirm from her what she meant. ![]() |
Am I the only one thinking that the person who prolly helped u acquire or develop the property in Lekki is also the person feeding you lies to make stay back in SA? *not my business* All I'll just say is that when compared to SA, Nigeria is SAFER in terms of security! |
But sha....if the MSc degree certificate will carry the seal of University of Gothenburg Sweden (well that kinda make some sense), then its understandable! I'm also seriously considering that of Unilag. The duration is also an issue for me. I'll rather apply for unilag's 18months programme (3 semesters) or squeeze out the money for Uniport's 12months INRES programme. There is no TIME to be doing 4 semesters oh! ![]() |
OMG Few days ago, my cousin lost her only child after over 10 years of marriage. The child was just about a year old. I saw her about five hours before she died. She was so weak and thin that you could see the shape of her skull! The baby had been to two general hospitals in Abuja where she was 'falsely' diagonised with malaria plus in one of the hospitals. After they treated her for malaria and there was no sign of improvement, they discharged her and told my cousin to seek spiritual help. After that, she was taken to a private hospital where she was treated for malaria and thypoid without even conducting a single test. It was during the treatment, they tested her for HIV, PCV and other tests, and the test results showed she was okay. The baby eventually died after receiving her last drip at the hospital. I may not be correct, but now I strongly feel that the death of that child may not be unconnected to worms, beacuse she was so pale, thin and weak ( the doctor could hardly find a vein in her body to pass drip through). I could remember the night the baby died, my cousin complained that the food in the baby's stomach may not be digesting as according to her, the baby didn't pass out feaces and her stomach kept bulging the whole day before she passed on! This is really an eye opener for me! @ OP, God bless you! Deworming should be taken as seriously as preventing malaria and thypoid! |
jmichael: From ur narrative, u wia busy tellin us hw u drive a rols royce phantom and move abt wit plenty fones and lappys. Dat paints a picture of a larger-dan-life, proud & arogant dude wit little or no regards for elderly pple. Thus I won't b surprised at ur lack of calmness and patience which wld av saved u dis mess. Dose r my detected loopholes in ur story. If I hear from d school authorities, I cld den make a wholistic judgement on d matter. And who appointed you to be a JUDGE in Nairaland? ![]() |
berryoflife: Unilag offers environmental toxicology and pollution management or so and i think unaab also offers enviromental management *nt so sure if its management*, i'm also interested in d course, though i studied biochem. I'm hopin to get d M.sc form for unilag wen it comes out. I suggest u check deir websites. Goodluck!I have been able to garner the following information: 1. OAU Ife MSc Environmental Control and Management. Course Duration: 4 semesters. Application starts: October. 2. University of Lagos MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management. Course Duration: 3 semesters. Application starts: April 3. University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. MSc Environmental Management and Protection. MSc Environmental Management and Toxicology Course Duration: 4 semesters. Application starts: July 4. University of Port-Hacourt MSc Natural Resources and Environmental Management (Run in Partnership with University of Gothenburg Sweden and three Nigerian Universities). Course Duration: 12 months. Application starts: July/August 5. University of Nigeria, Nsukka MSc Environmental Management and Control. Application for 2013 closes on April 2nd (today). **Other institutions offering MSc Environmental Management include UniUyo, ABU Zaria and a host of others. Please NOTE that I placed emphasis on these five universities above based on my personal preferences which include: 1. Not wanting to study in the NORTH (as I already did my BSc there). 2. First generation universities that are prestigous for their PG academic standard and recognized by the NUC. 3. Federal Universities (I prefer them to state and private). 4. Nigerian Universities with good ranks on the 2013 webometrics and 4ICU ranking of universities. 5. Full time courses (some universities offer MSc Environmental Management on part-time and executive basis) 6.(Most importantly) course outline and course description. UNFORTUNATELY, No university offers MSc in Environmental Biotechnology.....except for UNAAB that offers MSc Animal Biotechnology. Guess we still have a long way to go in embracing the emerging field of Biotechnology in Nigeria. Please try to keep in touch if you get any info about any of these institutions (especially when their PG forms are on sale). I will do the same. Thanks! |
U mean these seaway guys are still there? I was there sometime in early 2009 when I was in Lagos. They actually advertised on Vanguard Newspaper. When I got there (same address that the OP gave), I saw a small shop that they used as office. With the same man and lady speaking igbo, I was discouraged. They asked me to drop my cv and #1000 which I told him I didn't have because I didn't know it was required for the interview. He asked me how much I had, and I told him #400. He said I should bring it but I declined, insisting that was my transport fare. He told me to drop 'something' to show my commitment and I reluctantly dropped #200 (at that point, I knew I was been philantropic), but I wanted to fulfill all righteousness. Few days later, he called me to come pick up my letter. I didn't want to go but I was curious and desperate at that time, so I went there. He gave me a letter that was addressed to the Manager, Seaway Nigeria (there was no particular address) and a phone number (that of the so-called Manager). After giving me the letter, he asked for #1500 which I told him bluntly I do not have. He then told me to call the number in two days time. When I called the number, a woman picked and I explained how I got her number. She told me to hold on, that my appt letter was under process, that she will get back to me. She never did! After a while, I relocated to abuja and was blessed with a Federal appt. Today, all I do is laugh when I remember my ordeal with those fraudsters. However, my worries are: 1. How come this people continue this illegal activity for years without been busted by security agencies? 2. Why does the Guardian Newspaper or any other dailies not confirm the authenticity of job recruitment agencies or adverts before publishing them, thereby misleading millions of unsuspecting umemployed youths? I think this case should be reported by all of you who have been recently duped in order to prevent others from falling victims. Imagine people travelling and risking their lives to travel to Lagos only to be duped by job scammmers! Its pathetic and unacceptable. May I also add that Lagos and Ibadan are notorious for these job scammers. For reasons I do not know, they are not so much in Abuja, though there are some! |
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your contribution. I'll do as you have advised. God bless you. |
Gorimakpa: I hope you are not a learner. Dont believe everything you're told, its not today that we started chasing these FG jobs, and NIMC cant be different. 95% would go to politicians and NIMC topshots candidates, while lucky quota system beneficiaries and lottery winners would share the remaining 5%. For your info, 0% goes to merit. I only hope to be a lottery winner sha.Very very true! |
Chrisbenogor: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAYou are awesome, dude! +100 likes |
Amalision: I am just very confused on this thread. I mean veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy confused. My head is shattered. Cuz of the numerous tins I heard on dis thread I moved around to get d real fact so that my mind can be at rest. I alongside my uncle friend who is a top army oficer went to places today.Guy, you are very on point. NSCDC is finding it hard to pay salaries now. I have an ex girlfriend who has not been paid for five months since she collected her appt letter. Immigrations will annouce recruitment after easter, but a list already exists on the table of the Chairman of the board. However, those with recommendation letters from prominent and influential Nigerians including a proper follow up can be assured of a place in the NIS. |
vanunu: My friend more schools * nine new federal universities plus alimajeri schs here and there) are being built, more fg roads are being reconstructed, our railways are now working, power is now almost stable, more health centers and hospitals are being built, our airports are now very very beautiful and clean.Oh yes! Nine new universities while the existing ones are below standard and cannot make it into the list of the world top 3000 universities. As a graduate of Botany from a federal university, my dept lab never boasted of a microscope till I graduated. Trains that travel 33 hours from Ilorin to Lagos, is that what you call a good rail transport? As I type this comment, my smartphone is about going off, thanks to the fact that we have not had electricity for the past 48 hours (I reside in one of the largest satellite towns in FCT). Which subsidy thief has been sent to jail? Pls just one name please. No fuel scarcity? What is experienced in Lagos and Abuja is called what? Fuel abundance? Except there are other roads people access, the road I travelled from Abuja to Lagos last month is nowhere to be called a standard, safe or world-class highway! Take a visit to the FCT (the capital city of Nigeria), several parts of the city including Mpape, Kubwa, Dutse, Dawaki, jikwoyi etc still have a large population of people without access to proper toilet facilities (you find people excreting in drainages and public places). Needless to mention the poor waste management system in several parts of the capital city. Despite the billions allocated to the Ecolgical Fund office of the presidency, what has been done to remediate the issue of erosion in the South East other than people feeding fat on huge salaries in the name of Ecological Fund office? Violence, crime and corruption is at its peak. Nigerians pay more to buy petroleum products yet get little in return from the govt. Unemployment rate is at an epidemic level. My friend, if you cannot see these things......SOMETHING is wrong with you too! |
Billyonaire: You father is a total failure for raising such a wayward son, Are you mad or just plain silly ? 17 unused Ambulance cost how much ? I can singlehandedly buy 17 ambulances and dash your entire village. Nigeria is a rich country and we have average of 180 private jets so far from mostly Private citizens, if you are a failure, do not blame to President. Blame who ever fathered you.Your choice of words shows that you are rude, uncultured, ignorant and immatured. (No offence intended). How much do you think you have that you are bragging about buying ambulances in someone else's village? How many have you bought in your father's house, talk more of your village? You see......so many half-informed young chaps coming on NL to rant rubbish makes the forum so disgusting. If any of your elder ones have had the opportunity to work in govt at any level....please inquire from them what inflation of govt contracts is all about. Then you may understand that the amount that was claimed to have been used in purchasing those 17 ambulances can actually buy 100 of those ambulances in real terms. |
Oh' yes! He's so capable, buh which ever way he's still gonna use d public funds to fill in d blank spaces
The man David Mark has golf courses in Otukpo Benue State and Dublin, Ireland. The man David Mark receives gifts of all kind from corporate organizations, politicians, business moguls, contractors, foreign expatriates and people of all kinds. David Mark's salary per month is over #20m (excluding other allowances that comes with the office of the SP). Needless to mention his various business interests that span across almost all sectors of the economy. I am not trying to justify the huge salary he receives or that his source of wealth is completely legitimate, all I am trying to say is that a car gift of #8m is not beyond the financial capability of DM even without having to dip hands into public funds. Period! |
tatosh: Seems everybody around the world and some Nigerians seem to just realise that our president is a concrete nuisance. Well, I've known this long ago and I seriously campaigned against him in 2011 but those without brains said they were voting GEJ not PDP...now we are in a mess.I'm with you on this! I also campaigned against him and did not vote for him in 2011. I proudly voted for Buhari. Just last two weeks ago during the area council elections in FCT, a friend of mine who is 35 years old, a university graduate and still unemployed hitherto, voted for PDP candidate in Bwari Area Council after been bribed with #1,000. I couldn't but marvel at the hopelessness of Nigerians! |
