Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker: "We were more competitive than last year but overall we have to admit we were good but not good enough in certain areas, particularly the final third. "We had a couple of decent possibilities, but we could not find the final pass or touch. "We defended better, but they are still better and we have to learn quickly." |
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "It was an even game, but at the end of the day they have financial power and used it in a effective way with players like Diego Costa and Eden Hazard making the difference. "They did not work our keeper more than we did their's. We had more shots and missed opportunities to take more. We lost on details and this is unfortunate. On his touchline clash with Jose Mourinho: "I went out of my technical area because I wasn't happy with the challenge and I wanted to see what happened. Someone stood in front of me and that was it. I say absolutely nothing else on that. "Jose says we should have finished with eight men and I return that compliment. I don't know how Gary Cahill finished the game. I don't know how Branislav Ivanovic finished the game. I don't know how Oscar finished the game. "It is a concern to be nine points behind Chelsea, with the quality of the teams ahead of us, but we will keep on fighting and go on to the next game." - Arsene Wenger |

@BARRISTERS - If you read your bible in Hebrews 5:7 even Jesus had to pray with 'strong outcries' - "In the days of his flesh [Christ] offered up supplications and also petitions to the One who was able to save him out of death, with strong outcries and tears, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear".(NWT). In this circumstance it is very obvious Jesus did not prayed quietly, he prayed with "strong outcries and tears". The bible also said as a result of this in Luke 22:44 "But getting into an agony he continued praying more earnestly; and his sweat became as drops of blood falling to the ground" (NWT). Do you think in this circumstance Jesus prayed quietly and started sweating. Even as close as Jesus to God, knowing what he was about to face, he prayed with "strong outcries" in other words, 'aloud'. My advice when praying is that apply discretion. Even if there are peolpe around you and the circumstance need you to pray aloud don't hesitate, you are not talking to them pray out loudly. But if the circumstance does not need you to pray out loudly, you can even pray in your heart without even moving your lips like in the case of Hannah in the bible. Shalom! |
I didn't mis-quote the book as you have allerged. i quoted exactly the as it was written. From what you have said it is obvious that there are circumstances that will warrant praying out aloud. Just as Jesus prove in the case of Lazarus when he commanded "Lazarus! Come out!". He does not need to be soft spoken about that. The point is there are are circumstances that will need a high tone when you are praying even when it will attract attention from others and there are circumstances that will require that you pray quietly. For example when praying before taking your meal there is no need to start praying out loudly. discretion matters. I am happy you acknowledge that your publication advised the Cote D'Ivoire 'interested person' to 'in an event of hearing the strange voice' that he normally encounter strangely, that 'he should call on Gods name loudly'. It means JW are not against praying out loudly in some certain circumstances. It is pretty much clear. BARRISTERS: @Vicrobor |
ibukun obi: i am a jehovah's witnesses, over one hundred years ago, we have been liberated from that bondage of noisy prayer pattern, we live quetly and demonds dont come to our place of worships, and we dont cast out demonds that does not exists. You say you are a JW, and you don't engage in loud prayers. I wonder if you have read one of the watchtower Society publications 'KNOWLEDGE THAT LEADS TO EVERLASTING LIFE' on page 116 there was this man a JW to be that was being harrassed by demons and the book advised to pray aloud. |
Beginning fromDay 1, the miracles have sterted happening. Although I am not able to make it to the camp I am following it up on Dove TV. I believe distance is not a barrier. Pastor Adeboye gave 5 prayer points on Day 1. 1. Praise God that I am still alive today 2. Father, whatever is standing between me and the wonders of new creation, tonight reveal it to me. 3. Restore on to me fully everything that I have lost through sin, disobedience, carelessness. 4. Even before tomorrow morning let there be evidence of the wonders of the new creation in my life. 5. Father, from now on let my dominion be fully established. 6. add any personal prayer point of your own. God bless you. |
aglomar: Glorious gathering. It is broadcast live on LTV every night.Awesome gathering! You can also watch it live on Dove Tv. |
Oshiobaba I feel you. PDP can do and undo! Just wait for the results first and then we will take it from there. |
Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid Manager who got in his kitty his first La Liga title with his team said he feels that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves to be awarded the next Balloon d’Or Player of the year award and not Lionel Messi. Messi who has won the World best player award back to back became only the second player in history to win three successive times last January after Michel Platini who the football legend and the present UEFA President won from 1983-1985. Mourinho said he feels that the former Manchester United player’s contribution formed a very huge part of their success this season which part of it is the team winning of the La Liga title, so he believes that Ronaldo should be a worthy winner when the awards come around again. Although Ronaldo’s 46 league goals fell four short of Messi’s remarkable haul as the Argentine claimed the Pichichi and the European Golden Shoe. And for that reason Mourinho believes his 27-year-old compatriot should be rewarded by FIFA when Ballon d’Or voting takes place. In Mourinho’s words “Cristiano has to win the Ballon d’Or, not because he has been the top goal scorer, he was that already last season, but because his goals delivered a title. “Messi scored 50 goals that weren’t worth anything, in the same way that Cristiano scored 42 last season that didn’t stand for anything. He hasn’t been able to win the Pichichi and I believe he should be compensated with the Ballon d’Or.” Meanwhile, Mourinho has again reiterated that winning La Liga with Madrid was toughest he has ever won. The 49-year-old Portuguese has now won seven championships in four different countries after collecting two league titles each with Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan. But he believes overcoming Barca has been the biggest challenge of his career.
