Businessman Sent To Prison For Stealing N70m
A 33 years old businessman, Augustine Oshoke has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly obtaining the sum of N70m from Hassan Muritala under false pretense.

A 33 years old businessman, Augustine Oshoke has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly obtaining the sum of N70m from Hassan Muritala under false pretense.
The accused was arrested by the operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, FCIID, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos and charged before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a two-count charge of felony to wit, obtaining money under false pretence and fraud.
Police Counsel, Henry Obiazi informed the court in charge No A/25/2018 that the accused committed the offence in December 2017 in Agage, Lagos.
Obiazi told the court that the accused connived with others still at large to tricked and collected the sum of N70m from Muritala with a promise to exchange the Naira with the sum of $283,000 equivalent.
Obiazi stated that after the accused collected the M70m from the complainant, he converted the money to his use and failed to provide the dollars equivalent to the complainant to date.
He said the offences the accused committed were punishable under sections 411 and 314 (3) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges in the open court and Chief Magistrate O.O Oshin granted him bail In the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Oshin adjourned the case till 2 May 2018 for the mention and ordered that the defendant be kept at Ikoyi Prison, Lagos till he perfected the bail conditions.

That as the conspiracy continued, the President (then Presidential Aspirant) officially requested from his alma mater (Provincial Government Secondary School Katsina) to provide a spreadsheet of his WASC result. No 7. His alma mater obliged his request and publicly displayed his personal result and also issued him a new statement of result with the date of the issuance (I think January 20, 2015) on it. This was done to shame all the conspirators. No 8. That nobody challenged the authenticity of the spreadsheet/statement of result issued by GSS Katsina till date. NO ONE HAS TAKEN THE SCHOOL TO COURT FOR ISSUING A FAKE RESULT. No. 9. That the only media platform that took the part of professionalism on the issue was Sahara Reporters by carrying out an investigation (investigative journalism) on the issue. The Media Outfit requested from the Examination Body (Cambridge University) to confirm the authenticity of the statement of result and spreadsheet published by Buhari’s alma mater (Government Secondary School Katsina). No 10. That the Examination Body (Cambridge University.) DID NOT deny the authenticity of the spreadsheet as displayed by GSS Katsina. They admitted that PMB partook in WASC examination in the year (1961) he claimed but however FAILED TO CONFIRM SR request to publish same. THEY CITED EXTANT LAWS IN THE UK PROHIBITING PUBLICIZING PERSONAL RECORDS. No. 11. That anybody bringing up this issue again that PMB does not have WASC without first confirming from GSS Katsina and Cambridge University should be pitied as he has lost touch with time. No. 12. That the right question shouldn't be the rationale for bringing 13 SANs or more but the eleven issues above. And all those SANs we learnt worked pro-bono. The poor doctor has been sufferring in silence with many battles to fight ...it's called Burnout Syndrome. We can do alot to reach out to a fellow brother when he is down. Not money but a little kind word, a nice gesture and a listening ear may as well save a live. RIP

A Port Harourt-based nurse, Oji Allwell, has said he is not the doctor who committed suicide by jumping into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge on Sunday.

The nurse was forced to speak out after many online news organisations used his picture along with the story of Allwell Orji, the Lagos-based doctor that actually committed suicide.

Oji’s photos along with the suicide report went viral late on Sunday and led many of his friends to believe he had taken his life.

In a video uploaded on his Facebook page, the nurse informed his friends and well-wishers that he was alive and well.

He said, “Good afternoon my beloved friends and well-wishers. My name is Oji Allwell, I am a nurse. I am making this online video in regards to the news that has been trending online about me being a medical doctor who jumped into the lagoon.”
