I remember reading one newspaper post here on nairaland, i think sometime in 2011 or 2012, that the CBN had given directive that Nigerian banks should not charge more than N250 for customers who make ATM withrawals abroad with their debit cards. Now I am in the UK, armed with my ZenithBank mastercard debit card, I have made three withrawals and upon checking my account online some days later only to realize that zenith bank has actually charged me N1500 per withdrawal, totaling N4500. This is outrageous. I am currently trying to find articles online to know whether this CBN directive is true and if Zenith bank is indeed flouting this directive, and if so I need to make an official complaint with the authorities and seek redress for this reap-off. I have found UBA's publication on their website stating that they charge N240 for ATM withdrawals abroad which is in line with this supposed CBN directive, this is the page: http://www.ubagroup.com/countries/ng/cards/debitcard/debitmastercard I am just so angry now, I just need to find some official documentation of this CBN directive before taking action. Please I also urge you guys to post links to any official documentation or articles or newspaper reports regarding this "not more than N250" directive. Zenith bank(or any bank for that matter) should not be allowed to get away with this fraud. |

This is interesting and i must say kinda contrary to how normal christians interpret "born again". When someone says he's born again he means he's given his life to christ and leaving his past sins. But the OP seems to be saying that anybody who hears the gospel is born again. This is not making much sense, it doesn't agree with well known christian teaching. |
stockbull: I hope it's not initial public offer(ipo) talk to your broker and initiate the sell mandate with 1.8% broker's commission, you're doneThank you. No it's not IPO, they are old stocks I inherited. I have registerers, not brokers. Is it the same process? As in just direct them to sell and then pay 1.8% commission? |
I have stocks in public companies in the NSE that I want to convert to cash. What are the requirements and processes? What commissions and taxes will I be required to pay? How long does the whole process take? |

What markup language does nairaland use for styling it's posts & comments? eg: the smiley's, bold, quotes, etc. I would have thought they were HTML but HTML comes in angled brackets: "<element></element>" while this nairaland ones are in square brackets: "[element][/element]". |

man! these phones are beautiful. What operating sys are they gonna run? |
great news. This is how our technological development starts. The days of mere textbook theoretical knowledge is slowly coming to an end. |
In some states eg: islamic countries, religious law is the same as state law while in others, these laws are separate and should not interfere with each other once they have been clearly defined. The church should abide by state law when it comes to public\secular matters while the state should not interfere with church law because church laws are for people who have volunteered to put themselves under the umbrella of the church. |
okeyxyz defined evil on a thread, I don't remember which thread but it was interesting. He defined evil as "to be against, or to be an adversary" and this makes sense to me. therefore, even god himself can be evil when he moves against a person or nation and there is evidence in the bible to support that. One such verse said that an evil spirit from the lord took over paul and caused him to attack david. |
