Aura4aura: I want to thank everybody in this group for both informations that were passed here and words of motivation. I got my visa and I am so happy. The process was a hard one but it ended well. So I am here to encourage others to keep going and to also detail my experience as somebody can learn a thing or two from it. My first interview was scheduled for March 18th but by then I didn’t have block account confirmation. I sent an email to reschedule but I got no response. So on the interview date, I went there with the bank deposit slip and I was told I couldn’t be interviewed. I explained to them that I had already sent an email to reschedule but I got no reply. I was told to wait for a minute. The lady finally came back and told me that they just saw my email and I am lucky I did sent the email I will be rescheduled. I was rescheduled for may 8th and by then I had my block account confirmation. During the interview I was asked repeatedly what course I was applying for and why was I choosing Germany over an English speaking country. Then I was giving 5 economics questions and 5 mathematics questions to answer and that was it. I was asked when I intend to travel as well. I was called on the 14TH if I wanted to come pick up myself or if they should use my courier envelope. I decided to go pick up on the 15th and my visa was granted. Apart from Paulinus making things difficult, it was an easy process Awesome! Please what type of math question were you given? |

Ellenony: There’s oral and written interview. Unlike before that it was just oral. Interesting. Did you do the written interview? If yes, what were the questions you were asked? |

Generalmac: To an extent, this pattern doesn’t make any sense because everyday , people are booking with the old system and they are valid, going by that, the appointments booked with the old system will be inexhaustible unless there’s something I don’t know and I would like to be corrected. Thanks. Hello, please can you send the link to the old site. |

Chaigogo22: You will need to do an authentic affidavit for change of name for your birth certificate. Also if you were born before December 1992 and have an NPC birth certificate (the green coloured one), they would likely reject it and ask you to do a declaration of age, backed by your parent or a family member older with 15 years. Please when you mean backed by your parent, does it also entail attaching their ID to it? |

Hi everyone. I am trying to book an appointment on the German consulate website and part of the requirement is a birth certificate. I don't have a birth certificate just an affidavit. Please how do I navigate this? |
