Education / Re: University Of Ibadan Students Lament 450–750% Fee Hike by Villa12(m): 9:30pm On Apr 17
FreeStuffsNG:

I think we should understand that the university needs the hike to remain in the business that brought the students to the school in the first place. Secondly, it is much more difficult for citizens in other countries too. Biden has been cancelling students loan regularly because most of the students could not pay back after graduation and most UK universities are currently strained financially, so bad that some universities have started folding up in the US. Do you want UI to fold up ni? Hike yes but the hike should be affordable is better than blackmailing the school with people who have economic challenges. The school is challenged financially at the moment and needs help to save itself and then save the students. I believe that the hike is necessary but it should not be too much.
Tinubu promised free WAEC for secondary School students in Nigeria. When will that commence? It's almost a year in office.

sadly the loan cannot cover all stranded students. I guess the rest will have to dropout of school

If you think 450,000 is too much for fees, you don’t deserve university education.

University is not for everybody, it is for those who know the value and won’t waste their time there.

People who know the value of a good degree from a good university know N450,000 is too cheap.
LoL

Too cheap in a country with 30k minimum wage? Too cheap in a country with high rate of unemployment? Too cheap in a country that top the ladder of poverty? Too cheap in a country whose leaders top the ladder of highest paid in the world? Too cheap in a country whose citizens cannot afford to feed? Too cheap in a country with poor power supply? Too cheap in a country with corrupt leaders? I can always go on and on

The number of dependents generation is increasing because of the high unemployment rate in the country.

If the government can provide an enabling environment for entrepreneurship. The number of dependents and unemployment will fall to its smàllest minimum.
despite the high unemployment in the country, is it not same youths venturing into cyber fraud popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo and taking up family responsibilities? If you know the wonder Yahoo Yahoo is doing in the life of an average Nigerian youths, you wouldn't be saying this. Check your streets or community and tell me if you will not see these guys littered everywhere. If not for Yahoo, these youths will be robbing on a broad daylight.

Imagine you suffering to make your money only to pay the bride price and sponsor the wedding with a woman who has been fvcked and mounted with just two eggs and indomie. You will even use your hard-earned money to take care of her family (in laws) while the men who fvcked her brains out only gave her two eggs and indomie.

Is that the life you wish for your self?

She is right. Keep ya dollars closer. Afterall Nigeria leaders have not sold the millions and billions of dollars they stashed in Switzerland. Why blackmail me to sell my own dollars. In everything you do, emulate Nigeria leaders. They keep their dollars, keep yours, they seek second citizenship, seek yours, they have no faith in the future of the country, do the same, they run abroad for holidays, oga do the same, they buy foreign goods, buy the same.

How can some people do just because their principal loss in a contested election, the person wey come third oo and ever since they never wish the best for the country.

It's time for FG to consider banning any association with the name of Obidients.

We can't continue to be shying away about their bitterness, hatred and their evil wishes towards the progress and development of Nigeria
since your forefathers had been wishing the country good please tell us what has become of the country? Mere wish doesn't determine how good or bad a country will be. America didn't become great today by mere wish.

Private school is a business center. It's as simple as that.
They management only want money. They have no business with inculcating morals in their students.
Shame!

Plus, a lot of immortality go on in such schools; children fvcking in toilets, teacher fvcking students, lesbianism, gaybriels etc.

Put your children in any school you deemed fit but take time to personally teach them good morals. That's my concern.

Finally, fvck any girl you want but when it comes to marriage, find a young virgin woman and marry else, your children will be fathered by another man.
Never marry a woman who has many male besties if you want to live long.
Avoid single mothers at all costs. These ones are carrying a very different demonic spirit. Don't date them, don't befriend them , don't relate with them. Just avoid them!
Thank God man no be God. I'm happy these girls are getting married every Saturday.

The school system is broken and the Parents are the cause.

That's why I advocate for Teachers to leave the children to spoil for their Parents.

Let their Parents train them.

Enter the class, teach them the subjects you are to teach them and leave the class.

Don't discipline anyone.

Let them be their parents headaches.

You send your child to Boarding school, be my guest. Na will cry at the end.

Children are spoilt and are searching for ways to spoil more.

How do I know these?

I was once a Teacher.

Glad I have dropped my BSC in Geography and Planning inside my cupboard.
