FashionRe: Natural Oils You Can Use On Your Hair And Their Benefits by vinna(op): 3:16pm On Apr 04, 2013
Food For Thought

1. Beneath that 20" Peruvian/Brazilian/Indian weave how healthy is your natural hair?

2. Do you spend 10% of the amount you spend on weaves on your natural, God-given hair?

3. Can you boldly and confidently carry your natural hair for 2 weeks?
FashionYes!!! You Can Cleanse Your Face With Natural Oils by vinna(op): 3:10pm On Apr 04, 2013
If you had told me 10 years ago that i could wash my face with oil and have my best skin ever, I would have said you were crazy. Then, like everyone else, i believed oil on your face would make you break out and would certainly make my already-oily skin more oily. Older and (I think) wiser me now knows I was wrong!

The Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) is basically washing your face with a combination of oils; based on the scientific fact that "Oil dissolves oil". After reading so many raves on the Oil Cleansing Method on beauty blogs and forums, i gave it a try and all i can say is...Wow!!.

Wanna learn how it works?

FashionExfoliation: The Key To Luminous Skin by vinna(op): 3:41pm On Mar 28, 2013
There are two types of exfoliants. First, a "chemical" or "acid" exfoliant that does the work for you. You apply it, leave it on the skin, and it works to dissolve the dry skin cells. These exfoliants include ingredients such as Glycolic Acid, AHAs and BHA, and enzymes such as Pumpkin, Papaya, and Pineapple.

Second, a "physical" exfoliant means that you have to do the work. These exfoliants include Brushes, Sponges/Bath Gloves/Mitt, and Scrubs e.g salt, grains, sugar etc....

FashionRe: The Truth About Skin Lightening by vinna(f): 4:49pm On Nov 28, 2012
Most people have bad experiences while lightening their skin because of the following reason;

1. Using Harsh chemicals e.g Hydroquinone and Steroids
2. Not protecting their skin with Sunscreen
3. Not using deep moisturizing products
4. Having unrealistic expectation. (wanting to go 3 shades in one month...safe and healthy skin lightening takes time)

There are so many safe ingredients that will lighten you without damage to your skin; visit the link below to learn about them

I am an advocate of ladies taking care of their natural hair. You go to a salon and a lady walks in to remove her 150k Peruvian hair...lo and behold a balding, scanty and unhealthy hair under the weave.

Below is the blogger behind Naija Hair Can Grow rocking her all-natural hair.

It does not cost as much as we spend on weaves to take care of our Natural Hair. No matter the kind of hair you have, Straight, Curly, Kinky, Relaxed, Texlaxed, your hair would benefit greatly from these cheap and natural oils;

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is great for preventing dandruff, promoting hair growth, moisturizing, strengthening hair, thickening hair, and preventing damage.

Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed Oil is a light non-greasy oil that is easily absorbed by the hair. It can also be used as a heat protectant as it resists temperatures up to 450° F.

Olive Oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
Olive Oil which is referred to as the “godmother of hair oil,” is great for moisturizing, deep conditioning, improving hair strength, eliminating dandruff, and also has powerful antioxidants that can help fight hair loss.

The question is; who is she looking to darken her skin? Did she use an acne treatment that lightened her face only or what?

Having an history to work with would help me make a better recommendation.
FashionLighten Your Complexion With Natural Products by vinna(op): 4:36pm On Nov 13, 2012
Until recently all skin lightening/bleaching creams and soaps contained now-known- to-be-harmful ingredients like, Hydroquinone, Mercury, Steriods etc. These chemicals are very detrimental to the health of the user on the long run leading to health issues such as kidney failure, cancer and skin thinning/burn amongst others.

Instead of using these dangerous chemicals, there are safe and natural lightening ingredients that can be used which would give same desired result.

7 Examples of Safe & Natural Skin Lightening Agents

1. Glutathione
2. Black Licorice
3. Papaya Enzyme

FashionRe: How Do I Get Rid Of Dandruffs? by vinna(f): 10:41am On Oct 31, 2012
I used to have dandruff (dermatitis) for several years. After so many shampoos and scalp treatments that cost a fortune and did nothing, I was finally able to conquer it using these natural products and process;

I know you are a guy and this might seem like girly stuff...just try it and thank me later grin

1. NEVER use soap on you hair. Get some anti-dandruff shampoo or use Dudu Osun (Organic Black Soap)

2. After washing your hair, mix 1 part Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar with 3 part water and rinse you hair with.

3. Get a small bottle of Goya Extra Virgin Olive Oil and mix 6 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil with it. Use this as your daily hair cream.

Continue this process for 2 weeks and you'd start seeing a big difference.

If you need assistance getting any of the products, send me a mail.

Cheers!

Dr Chris Exley from Keele University, a researcher into the toxicity of aluminium, and awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship in the field "The Bioinorganic Chemistry of aluminium and Silicon" said:

"Aluminium is a metalloestrogen, it is genotoxic, is bound by DNA and has been shown to be carcinogenic. The confirmed presence of aluminium in breast tissue biopsies highlights its potential as a possible factor in the aetiology of breast cancer"
FashionRe: How To Treat Facial Acne With Potash by vinna(f): 2:41pm On Oct 30, 2012
Treat your face very gently especially if your skin is sensitive or acne prone. NEVER use a 'Coarse' face towel on your face. If you must, use a baby soft one. When exfoliating, rub gently in circular motion.

I personally would not advice the use of potash for acne because of its drying effect on the skin. There are more gentle yet effective natural products. If you have sensitive skin DO NOT USE POTASH.

Check this link for some skin-pampering homemade acne treatments.

FashionDo You Know What Is In Your Deodorant? by vinna(op): 2:21pm On Oct 30, 2012
Deodorant and anti-perspirants are used to prevent embarrassing social situations (Lol...thats a 'creme' way of saying body odour) but do you know that nearly all popular store bought deodorants e.g Sure, Nivea, Addidas etc contain aluminium salts? Manufacturers like aluminium because it effectively suppresses perspiration, but the metal has a dark side once it makes its way into our body. Aluminium toxicity has been linked to Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, and other health issues.

GRAPESEED OIL FOR HAIR

Grapeseed oil can also be used for hot oil hair treatments. Since the oil is light and quickly absorbed, heating grapeseed oil and applying it to the scalp and hair ends greatly helps to make hair shiny and reduces brittleness.

It is good for Dandruff as well, as seborrheic dermatitis can be reduced by regular application of grapeseed oil on the scalp.

Are you aware that there are hundreds of ways you can take care of your skin and hair naturally? Do you know nature has blessed us with so many plants that do wonders to our hair and skin?

Instead of wasting thousands of naira on that expensive anti-aging cream that only lasts a few weeks and don't even do jack for your skin, why not get your hands on some Grapeseed Oil, Rosehip Oil and Jojoba Oil. Combination of these oils would do WONDERS for your skin.

hajieazi: Confirmed story. I personally met the so called landlord about 2 months ago, when the 2 bed room apartment was still occupied.(it's now vacant) He wanted me to pay for the apartment onbehalf of my client, but l refused to commit my client for such deal. There's another vacant mini flat (up)at the back.He has an indian tenant on the ground floor.I became suspicious when he became elusive each time l check on him, his wife and children refused to give me his phone number, even after convincing them that l came to inspite the apartment along with another client was ready to close the deal if the apartment satisfy his requirements(that was when the apartment became vacant). Before then, we did not agree on the rent for the apartment..l told him the rental value of the apartment is 350k to 400k max for 1yr, but he was demanding for 500k for 2yrs. Thereafter, l noticed that the same property was advertised in the Guardian newspaper by the landlord and by some (fake)agents with funny names. Another interesting thing here is that the property is actually at Palmgroove, but he'll tell you that it's at ilupeju estate. Pls beware of dubious landlords and agents.
That is the very house. The Landlord's name is Adeshina Bakare and he is a SCAMMER!
