Travel / Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Vinny101: 9:54am On May 15, 2017
Hello Gurus I sincerely need your suggestions and advice! I'm waiting to kick start my visa application for a PhD study in Melbourne;I have been accepted by two supervisors in two good universities there. Though I'm still waiting for the formal admission letter. However, I'm wandering what my chances of staying back after the PhD would be as I seem can not find a clear matching skill on the priority skill list. I hold a B.Sc in Economics. MA International Develooment Management and my PhD study would be in a Faculty of Arts, school of Humanities and Social Science. In summary, I'm tending towards a Development Expert. I just can't really pick out where my skill set would fall in. Please kindly advise.

I got refused. PGC-Humber College. Submitted Online 15-4-16. Insufficient funds, that's very ridiculous and that was the least i expected. My blood elder brother is my sponsor with good personal account and assets valuation close to 100M. I have ordered my GCMS or whatever they call it. I will make another try once I get the notes. I have paid my tuition for the first semester and I'm contacting the school for deferral to January. As long as people still get TRV with PGC I will sure get it.

Thanks for your reply. Recently I saw another mistake in my IMM 1294 form. The question in the form that says; 'Have you ever you used another name before (nick name, birth name, Alias, maiden name, etc.?)'. I answered 'NO' when I should have answered 'YES' because the middle name on my birth certificate and the middle name on my passport and all other academic documents is different. Do you think the VO rejected my application under Subsection 16 (1) because of this mistake too?
Inconsistency in an applicant's name is a killer. Embassies find it very easy to deny an applicant where such exist unless with a clear proof. Unfortunately you answered No instead of YES. If you had answered YES it would have prompted you to list those other names which would have corresponded to the names you have on other of your documents.

Hello house, I applied for visiting visa in Canada this year to attend my friends wedding with the help of an agent but REFUSED. The agent lied on the application which he didn't inform me of. The lie is he answered NO that I have not been refused visa in other country before. So I abadanoned that because I didn't know how to rectify that and the occasion passed. Now, I want to get a school and study in Canada to further my education ,1) how do I present my case. 2) any idea of a low tuition fee school I can apply to, I have an HND and would like to do a PGD course. Thanks for your response.
. In as much as its dangerous to lie on your visa application, I have seen someone that was denied USA visa three consecutive times, yet he answered NO to that question of having been denied visa to Canada or any other country and he was given visa. I think maybe, you have dainted your records in the USA because from what I read on your post about US visa interview,it appears you still owe some money after having your second baby or something. Or maybe your agent manipulated other documents for you in the application.

Hello. please for those that were invited for seplat assessment did the mail come from HCP on behalf of seplat or directly from seplatrecruitment.com. Did anyone also get a mail requesting for name, date of birth, state, institution and class of degree?
when did you get the mail and did you do the assessment? Someone I know was asked for such confirmations.

Hi house, has anyone here that wrote the test in August batch been contacted? Someone among this batch said HCP has sent him a mail informing him that he wasn't successful. Please has any other applicant among this batch been contacted? Wether positive or negative outcome!

People just make derisive comments over somebody's post like their English grammar is perfect. When it comes to mistakes nobody is above mistakes though they are some that could make you look stupid. However it's not enough reason for anyone to just keep re-echoing it. Seplat test has been written and I hope our use of English played out well. For the fact you wrote seplat test does not mean you have been offered the job; hundreds of people wrote this test and they are still writing. Some wrote in warri today and some were in the Lagos office today also for assessment. To be candid, seplat is not going to employ more than 50 applicants .Stop killing yourselves over nothing and don't waste too much time here lest you miss other opportunities. If you are among those that wrote the test, keep your fingers crossed in prayers and you never can tell, you might get lucky! Any member that asks a question here, if you can't answer it "read and jump am pass" don't make the person look stupid. People can still be given offers without writing the test.

pls just for clarity sake is there going to be another test schedule, i wud appreciate the info so i can just take my mind off and think of other things, dats after this 19th test date.
Its always good to be positive, however I don't think being positive on this would amount to anything because I strongly doubt if these guys would organise another test after tomorrow. This is not the end of life and not a do or die matter either! I really hoped for the invite capitalising on the grace of God and my qualifications but unfortunately I got nothing. That also cast doubt on how recruitments are done in this country. Anyways I have moved on! To all those writing the test tomorrow, Seplat is a mega job and just give it your best. All the same nothing should be overruled in this recruitment and be smart all round.Cheers!

Hello All, please I beg una pardon o! I can remember that seplat advert wasn't only on engineering fields and sciences; accounting and economics were also included. It's obvious from this thread that only those shortlisted for this over discussed test are engineers and scientist, dose this mean that other applicants are now on a long thing or they would still organise another test for other fields or something? Please all those that have been getting insider info, please make una help us find out, mbok!
