shymexx: How did Christianity stop the killings of twins when Yoruba people were already worshipping twins before the first missionaries came?? Stop peddling lies - Christianity has done almost the same harm(if not more) just as Islam... Don't even get me started with the Christian crusaders - and how they wiped out millions of indigenous people in the Americas and Africa...I agree with the last part of your comment, but the rest? CRAP!!! Conquering Arabs plundered ancient libraries, stealing valuable knowledge. Even the numerals they claim was built on Hindu knowledge. Education and knowledge has been around long before Judaism, Christianity or Islam. Think Persia. Think Babylon. Think ancient Egypt that Abraham frequently visited. The good thing about those conquering Arabs is that they preserved ancient Greek scripts, but I am so tired of Atheists or irreligious people pretending to be neutral while covertly taking sides. In my opinion, no African has any right to fight for Abrahamaic religions. Arabs, Europeans and Jews look down on Africans, so why the unnecessary debates over nothing. No religion is superior and ALL religions have copied from each other over time. Back to topic, the minister offering bounty over a cheap D-list movie needs to come out of the stone age. Rubbish! People will always talk. If they insult your prophet, why not go ahead and insult them back, or better still, ignore them? Human life is sacred. Political correctness should not make us call a spade a hoe. What is wrong is wrong. |
adesojiaderemi@:No, I beg to disagree. Calling him a lawyer is telling it as it is. That Bill Gates is into philanthropy does not make him any less of a computer mogul. Same went for Gani. He was a lawyer that used his legal advocacy skills to address social justice issues. So lawyer first, everything else later. |
adesojiaderemi@:Gani was not a lawyer? What was he? A medical doctor? ![]() |
It will be a case of sheer mischief for anyone to say that no lawyer has impacted on our society one way or the other. We all saw how the late Gani Fawehinmi spoke for the common man, suffering arrests, seizure of passports, brutality and attempted murder in the process. Lawyers like Femi Falana have also been at the forefront of the demand for equity and justice. We must bear in mind that when corruption is found at the top, it eats all the way down to the bottom of the society. Politicians will not deal with upright lawyers, and that is why it seems as though there is a shortage of men of the bar with upstanding characters. Lawyers are relevant in every society. Nearly all great leaders have been lawyers. From Mahatma (Mohandas) Ghandi, to Mandela, Clinton, to Obama, even to Lagos state, where you have a lawyer in charge, lawyers prove their mettle again and again. Lawyers are relevant to the development of Nigeria, the few bad eggs among them notwithstanding. |
PetroDolla: so long as Ghana is the subject of discussion you'll bet your last kobo I'll be there-whether it is dollarland, pesoland or randland. Get it into that empty shell you call headLawd! Somebody, Anybody give this chile a hug. He needs it. We don't give two.... |
PetroDolla: isn't it true nigeria carried out mass deportation twice,in 1983 and 85?Maybe you guys made us realize that friendship with you was a waste of time? Anyway, look I don't know if you were deprived of hugs cos you've turned out to be a very bitter human being. Note this, most Nigerians do not care about what Ghanaians like you think. I have never gone to a Ghanaian website as I have no business there. Stop spitting all over yourself on a Nigerian forum dear, this is "Nairaland" not "CeediLand". Now run along and go eat Kenke. |

ebamma: i dont blame the ghanaians, because the are just paying us back in our own coin, abi no be we first deport their people in the name of ghana must go?Wrong. Nigerians were first deported from Ghana in the late sixties during the height of the civil war before we reciprocated in kind years later. #KnowYourHistory ![]() |
Umunede: I don't see how ghana will backed down on this at all, no matter the negotiationPlease! Flimsy excuse. The presence of foreign businesses do not stop the Ghanaians from running their own businesses. |
royal lord: Honestly, i realy like what d ghanians are doin, its time nigeria get her fat as s of the ground and work. If nigeria is as a corrupt nation, no true nation willin to develop wil allow us to invade their country even nw dey hav oil, it time we learnt from dis actions by other nation and change. The law is simple if u are comin to ghana 4 buisnes come prepared to develop the country and nt endanger its economy by takin cash out of itSo that justifies imposing such huge fees on small businesses? |
McCoy91: A $300,000 registration fee is simply hilarious. Nowhere is it done in the world. Nowhere. Most of those businesses will never be worth that amount and you ask them to pay that to begin with?I wonder o! |
Ngwakwe: ECOWAS was just for Ghana and Co. to have access to Nigerian markets and not for Nigerians to benefit from them.I am all for reciprocal diplomacy. If Ghana does not want Nigerian businessmen in Ghana. Nigeria should show Ghanaian businessmen in Nigeria the door. |
damola1: How many ghanian business men have you seen in 9ja... Nigerians are quite dominating set of people...Really? How does that justify frustrating Nigerian businesses on a whim? Ghanaians are doing harm to their own economy. The clamp down on foreign businesses in order to encourage local businessmen might not be the brightest of ideas. I don't see how it has helped their economy in any way. |
Demdem: He is Pro-Retardeen who is the leader of the killer party. He did confirmed that before the elections.Hmmmm, interesting. But anti GEJ threads make the home page too..*scratches head* If he was a GEJ fan, I doubt he will let that happen. ![]() |
