DanXplore: Their services are relatively poor and their delivery agents are somewhat unprofession. They have a habit of begging for tips and sometimes unofficially rescheduling deliveries. Also on several occasions, my orders were cancelled without notice. I got sick of them and moved to Konga. I have made so many purchases on konga and have never been disappointed. You might also want to check out KwaraSell.com... Well educated, trained and professional delivery men and women. And delivery is just N200 anywhere in a city. Plus no fear of scamming...since you will be buying from your already known sellers. Or quality verified new sellers. |

Otisker: Bad market, but seriously online shopping is not an African thing (I think) due to fear of being scammed. Yeah. That's why at KwaraSell.com the model enables people to buy from sellers that they already know. Like you can easily buy from your favorite restaurants, pharmacies or boutique etc by merely visiting their SmartShop on KwaraSell.com...with doorstep delivery of just N200 anywhere within a city! I had typhoid based on the test result... And the Doctor's only solution is drip. Even before the test result came out, he already put me on drip. He was about to give me the 5th drip in just 2 days... When my brothers refused. The man is notorious for giving people drip. I heard someone fell into a well, upon the person's rescue and taken to the same hospital the doctor was busy administering drips! Imagine! Someone rescued from inside water and yet being hammered with water |

OruExpress: My opinion
Do not forget that Jaja of Opobo was detroned, arrested, exiled, and poisoned by the British, for trying to buy British boats. Nope, not because he wanted to buy British boats. But because he was a cog in their wheel of colonization. He refused to let his land be overran by the British mo'fuckers. And yes he wasn't poisoned. He died on his way back after being driven away from his land on a Ship that was supposed to be just a meeting. Read your history book well, man. |

The fall has this alluring vibe to it, but you have to be very careful and be sure you have got your d and strength together before venturing. It's either you hold firm and be in control or you loose grip and find yourself rolling down the steep.

justflow1: as seen in the post, i am not in any way comparing the population, just the percentages, if 54 % people gain access to the internet in kenya and 47.1 people gain access to internet in Nigeria, should the argument bother on how many people? a reasonable person will furnish the argument in a way that focus on what the kenyan govt did to had brought their country's internet penetration percentage above average, and why Nigeria is below 50% even amidst Tech minds and tech investments. i know ur problem, it is either you missed your logic classes, or your 1Q is below 70 How dumb can u can u be sir ? They have 54% on the Internet...and yet tech giants are rushing to Nigeria of 47% instead of them. Now you are bringing the government into it, twisting up the whole thing. Didn't you read ur own source where Nigeria will rise to 85% on the Internet by 2025? Pls spare me your stewpid little talks. |

justflow1: *Oh my dear Jumia! Truth be told, these disruptive innovation entities (Uber, Yudala, ,Jumia, Opay falls in this category) aiint getting ROI (Returns on Investment) in Nigeria and even Africa. Research claimed that just 47.1% of Nigeria's population has internet penetration which is relatively low compared to our sisters in East-Africa, Kenya. How then can a business whose sole mode of patronage is Internet-based thrive in the face of constraints, such as high data rate, huge Tax levy, unfavourable economy, inter alia?. I see Nigeria bade these companies Farewell in years time. Jumia and others will sure fall prey and most likely bow out of the country as they are posed with a fiercely looking Ready-made Finance Bill, ladened with hunt net about to be targeted at e-commerce and service rendering firms. They cant survive, and any attempt to force their stay will be at the detriments of we all. Yea we are at the receiving corner Quote the source of your research... Or simply quit lying. |

Xone3: It is their fault o, the charges can kill. I personally was a vendor before I shut my stores. They expect you to sell with 100 naira and they gain 1000naira. They keep calling you to reduce price. The losses I have made in Jumia hen, I go rent shop and pay for 2 years with it in Lagos. They are fraudulent, make policies that will benefit them only, change policies with vendors knowing. The number of vendors that have lost millions to them can't be counted. If you happen to know vendors, ask them. They will explain. I have paid commission of 200k+ in a month with my gain not upto 50k. 200k + as commission ? Damn! That's crazy mehn! Hmmmm anyways, it is why we have created a better model at kwarasell.com

Xone3: Don't blame the vendors all together o. Imagine that I buy an item for 200 naira, I sell it for 1000, Jumia collects 600 naira. 399 as commission and 300 for shipping contribution, I am left with 400 naira, packaging material is 100 naira, printing is 50 naira. What is my gain then? This has pushed people to the brink o. They will still call you to reduce price but keep increasing their commission. They(Jumia) are the cause of their Woes. That's why on www.kwarasell.com There's no commission There's no tax You open a SmartShop and sell for FREE !

SoNature: [s]On the contrary, I don't think Nigerians are smart.
What thrives in the country is just negative energy. A guy would rather be a Yahoo guy than go into something creative.
If you ask him, he will tell you the government didn't provide jobs. Meanwhile, the private sector created more jobs than the Nigerian government.
So, a smart mind is a positively creative mind because it's harder to build and easy to destroy.
If Nigerians were smart as we claim, things would be working in this country.but nothing works.
Google and Facebook were developed from dormitories. Today, their cofounders have become some of the world's richest people.
The rate at which the two companies (plus Amazon) are growing, the US Congress is worried that they could be so wealthy to buy up the entire America in a decade's time. Now, that's smartness.[/s] Speak for yourself sir. There are millions of very very smart Nigerians I know because I am one of them! Society and our government is letting us down in some ways...but hell no, we won't back down. Check out www.kwarasell.comThe first ever African universal marketplace. If AliExpress can do it in Asia, then Africans should come up with their own E-commerce platform. Check www.kwarasell.com You will be amazed. It is not just an Ecommerce place... Poch has been working with the same set of players for years without making any star signings but still made top 4 every season and just last season he took them to the finals.
