The Igbo people have a culture that permits same-se.x marriage. This same-s.ex marriage is between two women. In this kind of marriage, a widow who has past menopause goes ahead to marry a younger woman of reproductive age, So that she could bear sons to continue the lineage of her late husband. The older woman informs the umunna about her decision to marry a younger woman. The umunna knowing that this is a great sacrifice, Supports her and accompanies her to ask for the maidens hand in marriage. She pays the bride price and automatically becomes the husband of the young maiden. In most cases, such widows prefers to marry a woman whom has given birth to children outside wedlock( especially sons), Because in Igbo land, only bride price validates father hood. The aged widow, after marrying her wife is given a special honour and place amongst the men. In some parts of Igbo land, such women are forbidden from having affairs; they must live the rest of their lives without feeling the warmth of a man. It is also important to note that the marriage between these women are non-s.exual marriage. Homos.exuality is an abom.ination in Igbo land. The younger maiden goes about meeting men, Whatever child she bears is considered the legitimate child of the widow's husband and he or she bears the late husband's name. This culture has helped in preserving and ensuring the continuity of different lineage. https://twitter.com/HCookey/status/1773455427327418674 |

BRANDED CONTENT: Good News for Nigerians as Prices of Indomie, Sugar, Pasta, Others drop There seems to be some form of relief at the moment for Nigerians, especially those in the low to middle income bracket, who have for some months now been affected by the nationwide food price hike, driven by the sharp inflation and economic pressures across the nation. https://twitter.com/MobilePunch/status/1767205190661193886 In recent months, Nigeria’s inflationary figures have surged astronomically, rising to an all-time high in two decades, to 29.90% in January 2024; with a corresponding 2.64% headline inflation, according to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Food inflation also rose by 3.21%, with core inflation hitting 2.24%, while urban and rural inflation climbed to 2.72% and 2.57 % respectively, the NBS data showed. But according to latest market surveys carried out last week around popular markets in the country, there seems to be a reduction in the prices of some food items. Among them is noodles, especially the popular Indomie Instant Noodles. For instance, a 40-pack carton of Indomie Regular Chicken 70g, which sold for N10,650 now sells for N8,900. Indomie standard pack 100g, which sold for N15,000 now go for N12,300 per carton. In the same vein, the 40-pack carton of Indomie Super Pack Chicken Flavor 120g which sold for N17,950 now sells for N14,700 Other food items whose prices have fallen in the markets surveyed include sugar, rice, beans, semo, spaghetti and macaroni. A 50kg BUA sugar now costs N84,000, a Dangote 50kg sugar goes for N88,000, Stallion Long grain rice which sold for N88,000 now sells for N86,000, while the price for short grain rice fell to N78,000 from N80,000. Fifteen pints of Honeybeans which sold for N78,000 now sells for N75,000, while 32 pints of brown beans now sells for N155,000 as against the previous N165,000. Confirming this, a wholesale and retail dealer of noodles range of products at the popular Wuse Market, Mrs Debola Tairu, particularly noted that the prices of Indomie Noodles products have come down. "This is very good from Indomie, and I hope other products' will reduce their prices too", she said. |

Atiku Kojoli Vs Siddiq (Sadiq) Abubakar ? Page 31 of The Atiku: The Story of Atiku Abubakar by Adinoyi Onukaba. 2: I quote “ Atiku registered as Atiku Kojoli (in accordance with the Northern Nigeria tradition of using one’s hometown as a last name) at JADA PRIMARY SCHOOL” 3: So, his First School Leaving Certificate (Primary School Certificate) read “ ATIKU KOJOLI” 4: page 40: Towards his end of his primary school in 1960, ATIKU KOJOLI sat for and passed the highly competitive entrance examination into the Adamawa Provincial Secondary School in Yola. 6: Page 56: It was while registering for the examination that Atiku dropped “Kojoli” as his surname. He substituted ABUBAKAR which was his father’s other name. 7: No affidavit to back up change of his name. 8: Remember how Obasanjo called Buruju Kashamu ( Reuben Abati’s Principal) Senator Esho Jinadu. 9: So who is Siddiq (Sadiq) Abubakar that sat for WASC and GCE at Adamawa Provincial Secondary School, Yola? 10: so who is Atiku kojoli (Abubakar) that sat for WASC and GCE at Adamawa Provincial Secondary School? https://twitter.com/woye1/status/1711888694485856413
