Slow GLO, in the light of this, if you don't reduce your BBCMonth (CoMonth) to 1K for 6GB, nothing for you |

With this new downward review of MTN Data Tariff whereby you get 3.5 GB for NGN2,000, I hope GLO will soon downward review it's own O! Else I'm throwing away my GLO SIM after my present GLO BIS Subscription expires |

It has now been officially confirmed that the Camp Time Table has been revised again: Stream 1 will commence on Wednesday 27th April, 2016 and end Friday 13th May, 2016. Stream 2 will commence Saturday 21st May, 2016 and end Monday 6th June, 2016. |

Since the Senate refused to approve the budget, 2016 batch 'A' Orientation Camp will most likely be shifted AGAIN to 27/04/2016 (Stream 1) cos there is no money. |

edubs: GLO na. I've discovered from experience that Nairaland remains the fastest medium of getting across to these service providers for, their agents are constantly going through threads like this one looking for post that concerns them and they resolve it faster since the whole world is watching. |

Dear Globacom, We discovered with dismay that you recently increased the tariff of your BIS (COMONTH) from NGN1,000 to NGN1,400. We are wondering if this increase means there will be a proportionate increase in the quality of your data service which is slow and constantly fluctuating. In the past, we bore this poor data service coz the price made it manageable but now that you are increasing your price, we will surely abandon you if your data services do not improve. We appreciate the fact that our patronage made Globacom consolidate its lead in internet subscriber acquisition as specified in this article: http://ww2.radionigeria.gov.ng/frnews-detail.php?ID=12484 However, we assure you that increasing the price of your data service without increasing its quality will reverse this trend. Thank you. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Globacom consolidates lead in internet subscriber acquisition: http://ww2.radionigeria.gov.ng/frnews-detail.php?ID=12484 This is why they had the guts to increase the tariff |

Ryanxu: Kindly throw more light on this useful piece of information for am a bit confused. You see, I was using Infinix Hot (1) before I moved up to Hot (2). Hot 1 does not eat up data like Hot 2 does. Why is this bearing in mind that they are all MTK devices? |
![]() |
You are right. Mine too is consuming too much data. Initially, I thought it was MTN carting away my data but after seeing this post I'm convinced it is the phone. MTN customer care told me that too. For the first time since MTK devices became popular, I'm really thinking of going back to Samsung |

II loaded NGN500 and text A1 to 131 and got 1GB MTN Data as advertised, but is it just me or has anyone also noticed that the burn rate for this data is much faster than that of conventional Subscriptions? I contacted MTN but they denied this. |

I went to Yola post office recently to collect a small parcel containing a Micro SIM Adaptor (worth NGN400) I purchased at Aliexpress.com and the NIPOST staff there told me that there is a circular from "above" that every NIPOST customer must henceforth pay NGN500 per parcel at the point of collection for items bought online. I explain to them that this was a personal and not a commercial item hence even Nigeria Customs Service did not charge import duty on it. I also explained that I had already paid AliExpress shipping and handling fees for the product and that the product was not even worth up to NGN500. The staff insisted that they were only following orders. I also learnt that the N500 was just for smaller packages but that the costs would increase for larger packages. I was surprised that one had to pay money to collect a parcel the sender had already sent and paid postage fees for. They called it handling charge... The Free Online Dictionary defines "handling charge” as the cost of packaging and mailing an order. What has this charge got to do with receiving a package? NIPOST did not do the packaging or mailing. Their only duty was to deliver it. I have resolved that the Nigerian factor has again come to play and one Oga at the Top was actually collecting and embezzling this money they are now collecting. Most people these days buy their items online and so it now seems that NIPOST is getting a lot of parcels lately, especially from China and so, might have introduced these fees just to make money which may never get into the account of government. They say ANYTHING GOES in Nigeria but a situation where public establishments exploit the citizenry at will, is really taking it too far. Eagerly waiting for March 28 to vent out my anger on this rotten system. Sai Buhari!!! 3 Likes |

I had written to Consumer Protection Agency and I also sent an email to Nigerian Ombudsman about similar issues of exploitation of members of the general public by some unscrupulous establishments but they did not even acknowledge receipt of my mail talk less of acting on it. I've concluded that they are too busy carving out their own share of what remains of the National cake. I weep for my Country. 1 Like |

VKasparov: It is now well over a year since the DG assumed the mantle of leadership of the NYSC and sources reveal that there had not been any improvement in the welfare of staff of the scheme and that the DG is just fending for himself and his Directors. If anything the condition of staff had gone from bad to worse. It seems there is no regular combatant when it comes to corruption, just the regular thieving. I weep for my country. 1 Like |

Heeeeeeeelp! I have an Innjoo 1ls phone. I tried changing the IMEI of SIM 2 using MTK Engineering Tool downloaded from Play Store and the radio (network) went off. That of SIM one was working then though. I used Mobile Uncle>Engineering Mode>Android>Phone Information>but could not click the "Turn on radio" button as it was offline. In my attempt to rectify this mess, the Radio for SIM 1 has also gone off. 1 Like |
